I was ganked once by a large group of marauding doofuses. So I followed them around for awhile and picked off two stragglers.
Killed on zone in once.
Spawn camped once. I was able to escape after about the fifth death and ran around until I found another player in the zone. I hid near him and waited about five minutes for the camper to show up. When the camper unvis'd on the bait I got some quick revenge.
I'm having a great time I just wish they would keep the servers up.

Yeah pure drops for gear hasn't been great for me yet.(lv.14) Quest rewards, and merchant stuff is the way to go so far.
This saddens me as this sounds precisely how the loot system for LOTRO is. Crafting and Quest rewards are where the good loot comes from. For those of you that didn't have the misfortune of seeing the effects of this long-term in LOTRO, let me give you a peek of the future of a game that goes this loot-route: In about 40 levels...you will look around and notice that everyone looks the same and has the same gear. Very very boring. A system that mixes random valuable rares in, you have a huge variety of people wearing a huge variety of things. THis will not happen in a game that forms their loot system like what LOTRO or seemingly AOC does. And for the record: people claimed in the early life of LOTRO that the loot system probably wasn't finished. Well... it was. And it continued it's suckage to this very day. I'll pass. whoa whoa whoa AoC is heavily influenced by WoW and the loot system seems the same to me. I'm using plenty of drops as gear and have seen a few pieces that are just as good if not better than quest rewards. I saw a named drop last night but I'm mainly just blowing through everything because levels >>> gear at this point.

I'd like to offer the PVP alternative as well.
I'd really like to play with you guys and miss playing with all of you, but after playing the OB in both pve and pvp modes, the pve was quite boring to me.
We've got a group of 3 so far for PVP-RP, please let me know if anyone is interested in either pvp server with an alt, or would rather do pvp than pve.
I'm surprised after the excitement that was the Wanderers in Shadowbane that more people didn't want to do the pvp thing. When OB turned to FFA PvP the game played just like it.
I'll probably have an alt on the pve server just to see you guys, but my time will mostly be on the PvP-RP server.
I would also like to play with the main crowd but I can't justify purchasing the game when I don't enjoy the PvE ruleset. I like the freedom of the open environment and being able to kill someone that is spawn camping, talking trash, kill stealing, etc. I'm down for PvP-RP.

I get to the Fileplanet download page with all the mirrors and all the links do is spawn another beta key page. Click download on that page and I'm back to the mirror page. It's a loop and I want to cut off someones head. I have 55 emails from fileplanet because every time I click a mirror it sends me to the beta page and generates another email.
IE and Firefox do the same thing. I've disable pop up blockers and the whole nine for both...
I'm downloading Safari right now but apparently the problem isn't browser specific.
Any ideas?
edit: safari is the same deal. Its has to be either FP's problem or I'm just retarded. I've killed damn near every process running on my box and I'm bashing my head against the wall.
edit 2: Other files download correctly from FP. This is definitely their problem. Best 7 dollars I've ever spent.
edit 3: I want the last hour of my life back. I didn't change a damn thing and it started working. I'm 100% sure this was a problem on FP's end.

The Wanderers have been registered for the clan beta for about two years now.
The recent Q&A's have been nice. Here is the latest and greatest quote concerning a release time frame:
Community: Beta ETA (we all understand possible setbacks that's nature of the industry but a 1 month 2 yrs or something would be great)
Tasos Flambouras: Previous estimates on beta were honest educated estimates based on facts at the time. Circumstances have a way of changing, so we don't want to try to estimate again when so many things are in flux. The only thing certain is that we expect everything to come together one way or another within a few months so that our launch can be within the year. When we decide whether to go with a publisher or to self publish we will announce a beta date.
We've heard this kind of talk before (hell, registered for a beta for two years? hah) so I'm not exactly giddy yet.

Finished this yesterday - LOVED it.
I went about 60/40 paragon/renegade Vanguard. Killed the bug queen, saved Ashley, boned the blue babe, saved Wrex, made what I saw as a tactical decision of Sovereign > council, Saren shot himself, Anderson.
I have the same gripes as everyone else but the story, dialog, characters, even the combat began to grow on me and really turned this in to one of my favorites.
ME2 is a day one purchase for me.

I would prefer a straight up trade for Witcher but I'm thinking $30.00 (shipped) otherwise.
The serial number is associated but all that means is you would have to login with the username I created in order to play online. I'll change the password to something generic and delete my toons prior to shipping.
Original PC DVD case in new condition.

I just called Sony and was on hold for their sales department for about five minutes before giving up. Yes I know I am impatient but I like my retailers to show a little more zeal in giving me their business.
Anyway, what APR deal did they give you in combination with the $150.00 back?

I'm already turned off but I'll still probably buy it. X button har! pew pew pew!
and yeah Fable 1 was complete meh. Did anyone else defeat the last boss by way of lightning stunlock? I remember walking into the final room and immediately stunlocking him with the chain lightning spell (It's been a few years) -> mana potion -> stunlock > repeat until dead. Yay! the princess is in another castle do you want to keep the sword? Yes, but can I use it and pillage through the rest of the static and small world? Nope. WTF roll credits.

Quick question. When you teleport from your tower using the Tower Heart, there's always a number to the left of the location. I thought it might be how many quests are in that area, but that hasn't seemed to match up. Anyone know what that number means? Stupid manual doesn't mention it anywhere.
Hmph, I thought it was active quests as well... Anyways, I am really enjoying this game. The camera took some getting used to and I'm usually not a fan of checkpoint style save systems but it works well enough. Has anyone tried MP?

Gamespot Review 7.0Okay, I'm about 6-7 hours in and having a good time with it. A few minor complaints (advisor, save slot, zoom) but they are only minor annoyances. It's a scaled down Sim City that works. I recommend. Edit: Not sure which reviewer had a problem with the stylus but I'm getting along just fine.

What even worries me more is the fact there is no demo. I read some sad excuse of them waiting for the "Halo 3 beta to be over so people can focus on their demo".... (key word Demo). I think they are unsure of their product. If I was a developer I would be focus on my first week\Launch sale. If halo 3 beta was the case why not delay the game and try for a better launch release? Shadow run for now I will wait for a price drop or I will just GameFly it. Hey, we on for Forza 2 tomorrow? I can't remember where I read it but supposedly the demo will be released June 6th.

I don't see myself paying full price, but man I'm interested.
So are we talking five-finger discount? -------------------- BTW I think the complaints concerning the use of the franchise name/lore towards a non RPG title are detailed in another thread, so that shouldn't be here.
