Well that isn't totally true.  The other good reason is for resale.  When I am done I can sell it here or take it to a store and get something for it. 

For portable games (Vita and 3DS) I like to trade the trade-in potential for the convenience of carrying all my games around with me.  Not the same for consoles, because I don't have to carry discs.

I assume this will be on the eShop?  I just realized...why would I go to a store to pick this up when I can just download it?

Sadly, this is only for Windows 8 and various windows devices.

Admittedly P4 is only half-best. The social gameplay is excellent, but the dungeon crawling with lots of grinding is JRPG and generic RPG at its worst.

Actually, it's tried hard not to be like advanced wars as much as the simpler strategic gameplay makes it like it.

Let me explain. I listened to an interview where the devs said that while he liked AW, there were flaws in AW that he was trying to avoid. I forget the exact arguments, but it was stuff like it being too much of a numbers game, units needing too much positioning and the difficulties of that.

This is what I was trying to say.  He's got AW as the base and he's correcting the flaws he feels it has.

Well, if you're going to play JRPGs, you might as well play two of the best.

It's supposed to be very similar to Advanced Wars, so it should be a good game.  I'm not big on letting demos form my judgment of games because it's pretty rare that they are done in a way that truly makes me want to play a game.  I've listened to discussion by the guy making this game and he is in love with Advance Wars and made this as a lover letter to that franchise, while adjusting some things he didn't like about the series.

They're pretty flippin' cute.  Not sure why I like it.  It's certainly got its funny moments.  I probably mostly enjoy it because it's good bonding time with my daughter.  I spend most of the episode hoping Pinkie Pie will do something crazy.

I love Adventure Time.

Plus, I love My Little Pony.  I will say that it takes My Little Pony a number of episodes to really hit the stride of what makes it a fun show to watch.  I'm proud of my daughter for watching both of them.

is because you haven't played the precious games he was in. The ending came as quite a shock to me. I had figured out who the Masked Gentleman was wel before, but knowing who it was didn't mess up the ending at all because there was still plenty of mystery left to unravel.

My daughter and I watch My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic together. I actually really enjoy it. I'm such a kid in an adult body.

My order on the restock was cancelled. I got the email last night and if I look for my order on their system, it no longer exists. Definitely wish I could go back in time and order way back when it first went up. I guess I saw Amazon was selling in other countries and figured it would show up on the U.S. Amazon site.

All the penalties the Avs got in the second period were just back breaking.  Two double minors during the second period.  I think they basically had something like 12 minutes of penalties in the period.  Also were down 5-3 with two men in the box and got scored on there.

Not expecting great things this year, but was hoping for better than that undisciplined mess.

I actually really love it.  People are turned off by the edgy style of the revamped Dante, but I actually enjoy it for what it is.  The game itself has been fun to play and they do these really cool effects with the graphics when you're in Limbo running around.  I had no interest in it until I had heard it was good and I am very glad I listened and bought it.

Forums have been fairly slow for me on Chrome, but for some reason today has been much better.

Got a beta invite last night and got some play time in today.  So far, so good. A friend of mine got his last night as well.  It's probably from having met the Community rep for the game at PAX.  We had given him our emails and we both got in at the same time, so I am assuming.

What makes me most sad about the Wizard's Edition is that it says it won't be shipping until the 22nd, which means I'm going to be waiting until a few days after to even play the thing. Why couldn't they offer it through Amazon like normal people?

Of course I opted for the fastest shipping possible.

Since I'm out all next week, I was actually okay with that.  I did go with 2-day, though, since it was only a couple dollars more.  Mine said it would ship after the 22nd, so not sure when I will actually get it.  I have so many games to play, though, that I am okay waiting.

Got my CE ordered!

The Toy Box mode was great fun in Toy Story 3, so it should be even better in Infinity.  Their decision to not let you use characters outside their universes is rather baffling, though.

It basically says right in that article that they found from focus testing that people didn't want that.

I preordered my Collector's edition ages ago. One of the few CEs I've actually been really excited about. Hell, I even pre-ordered the strategy guide just so I could have a makeshift art book of the thing.

Needless to say, I'm pumped.

I kept putting off ordering the CE in hopes that maybe it would be sold at Amazon or something like that.  My mistake.  I definitely would have liked the CE.

I'm IN!! but I will be out of town next week when it comes out, so I will have to pick it up next weekend.

The big patch from a couple weeks ago fixed the terrible menu loading times for me.  It cut my general loading times about in half.  Maybe I just got lucky?

It's better, I suppose, but still not good.

Even more amazing is reading comments at news sites like CNN.  You would think people who were interested in current events might have a step up on places like GameFAQs or somewhere like they.  In many ways it is even worse because people post some insane shit when you know they should know better.

Compared to the long load times to start other games on the WiiU I have to think it’s the DVD drive that is holding the system back and not the other components. 

That would not explain why it takes why built-in system stuff takes so long to load, though.

She went over last night, spent two hours over there, and then came back without it.  I sent my son right over to get it.  When it comes back from repair, they factory default the thing, so I had to take some time configuring it and patching it to the latest version.  I guess all your settings and wallpapers are not stored on memory card because after popping that back in, it didn't have my previous config or wallpapers.  I'm not even sure if it is the same Vita or if they gave me a new one.

You just reminded me that this thing exists, so I will need to grab it.  My Vita was out for repairs and came back, but I was out of town.  My neighbor has it right now (got it off my porch for me), so I need to go next door today now that I am home and get it.

It wouldn't charge anymore.  I tried a couple different cables to see if I could get it to charge and it just ran out of battery one day and would never charge back up.  It's sitting at my neighbor's house, still, so I don't actually know if they fixed it yet.  I should go over there and get it, but I know if I go then I'll be obliged to spend some time chatting and I don't really want to.  My wife brought some goodies back for the neighbors and I keep hoping she will go over there and give the gifts to them and get my Vita, but she keeps not going over there.

Also, they're fun.

This.  I've played them all, except the Harry Potter ones, which I somehow missed, but need to get around to picking them up.  I really just have a ton of fun with them.  The games are cute and I always love the subject matter, plus I really love Legos.  It's just an awesome combination.
