Hey Tilt - do you know of any way to put a trap door in a room that leads to another map? They have things like this out in the world, but it looks like all the transitions that go down in the foundry are massive holes in the ground.

Hey Tilt, I played A Hidden Blade and when it ended I wanted to know the rest of the story. Then I came back here and saw that there is a sequel - maybe you should put a note in the quest that the story continues, because otherwise it's just a mystery.

Let me get this straight -- you can basically DM your own dungeons in this? In other words, you can create dungeons and put them out there for people to run?
Yes. Sorry if you answered this earlier, but are the quests people build specifically designed for solo or group, or do they scale? The system is mostly designed for solo quests right now with no scaling, but this will likely change in the future (there was group scaling in earlier beta weekends). Some people are designing group quests in other ways though, for example with large amounts of enemies. What level is your quest designed for?

The consensus on rottentomatoes seems to be the movie is quite good until the 3rd act, where it falls apart somewhat. Would those who have seen it concur?
Also, would you say it is better than Iron Man 2?

I finished up the Salsulito pursuits (Moonshine Shack was a PITA - I had to respec to get it done) because I liked the look of the reward armor. After getting it I realized I already had an armor that was basically exactly the same, except the hat was blue instead of brown I jumped into a co-op group with someone yesterday who was over 4000 EGO

Thanks - I had read about the XP on weapons stopping at a certain point but it hadn't clicked until you explained it.
I played a lot over the weekend and got the hang of the comparison system as well as some of the other bits that aren't explained so well.
So it seems that the mobs across the game only differ slightly in HP, and even if you go back to the starting area with your upgraded weapons you are not one-shotting things. Unless there is some sort of scaling going on behind the scenes, but it's hard to know without xp numbers on the mobs. Scaling would seem unlikely since you can have different ego levels fighting the same mob.
I like that you can just work with whoever is in the area to finish a quest. At this point the servers are pretty full so it's common to wind up working on the bigger sidequests with 1-2 other players. A lot of the larger sidequests really do seem better balanced for 2-3 players. It is very easy to get overwhelmed at times and in a respawn loop just to get the the quest done. Since the death penalty is so minor you really don't wind up in a situation you can't finish, but I have run into a few frustrating quests that just shouldn't be done with one person.
I played a bit of Shadow War, which I liked better than instanced PvP, although I'm still not a big fan of MMO-style PvP where certain builds can dominate. I much prefer the co-op instances in the game.
I like that there are dailies/weeklies for those who want to do them. I doubt I will want to grind for certain weapons or titles from vendors, though. There are certain outfits I will probably try to get through pursuits, though, which mostly require doing sidequests and finding the audio logs.

We had an Australian over for dinner and I asked her what they thought of New Zealanders. She asked me, "well, what do you think of Canadians?" She seemed quite surprised to hear that Americans don't hate Canadians Do you remember Frasier?Daphne was supposed to be from Manchester, but to be honest it was more a Lancashire accent than actual Manchester I had to YouTube this and found out that Jane Leeves doesn't sound anything like Daphne. Acting, how does it work?!

Well, Comixology was having a sale so I got caught up on this this week. They may have gone a bit off the rails after the first dozen or so issues. It makes Lost look downright straightforward.
On a related note, there are way too many comic books. Every time I finish an issue they have that "you might like" section and I see 2 or 3 things that look interesting.

Norway is the same. We've got a whole bunch of very different dialects, which makes it incredibly hard for foreigners to learn the language. Dialects isn't an American phenomenon.
Clearly you have never heard Jive So what's this about British fakers? Is MO one of these fakers? They must be exposed!

So I'm watching Graham Norton and he's got on James McAvoy (Scottish), John Bishop (Liverpudlian) and Joanna Lumley (regular old British, I guess? I don't know). And Graham of Course. Here you've got a country the size of a medium sized US State and they've got more accents than you can count. You've got Irish, Welsh, etc. In a country this small wouldn't you expect the accents to start blending together over time?

Anyone else keeping up with this? Getting pretty interesting.
Tatiana Maslany is quite good playing all the different characters. The bit where she had to play one of the clones impersonating one of the other clones was pretty funny. I didn't realize she wasn't British. I thought that was the only reason it was on BBCA. Maybe they should change it to CTVA.

As promised, I am back with my review.
Well, KFC's boneless chicken is as-advertised. It is KFC chicken without the bones. If you didn't like KFC before (unless your only complaint was the bones) you probably won't like it any better now, and if you do like KFC, you probably won't like this any better than you already do, except for some added convenience.

Wasn't The Last Starfighter a fun movie? (It was on tv this morning). Why didn't they make a sequel? "The Return of Xur". He's still out there!
Never noticed that Wil Wheaton was in the credits - it seems he can be spotted a couple of times in the movie but his lines were cut.

Guess I'll cross post this:
Anyway, I traded for a PC code and have been playing this weekend. It's not a perfect game but there's a good amount of fun to be had. The mainline story missions are getting pretty fun, and the story is serviceable so far with a bit of mystery regarding where it will be going. Side missions are pretty bland, mostly variations on going to a spot and getting ambushed while you fetch some item. Being an MMO, it's interesting that there is never a "kill x" quest, but I think that has to do with how they work the multiplayer (more on that in a bit). There are 4 person co-op "dungeons" of a sort which are reasonably entertaining as well.
There is plenty to do between quests, time trials (driving can be a lot of fun), rampage events (like in GTA), small world events (rescue some soldiers on the road, etc.) and Ark falls, which are essentially rifts (from Trion's Rift) with guns. There are major and minor Ark falls, and even bonus rounds for minor Ark falls, just like Rifts. In a major event, you have to deal with several smaller Ark falls and then fight the big boss (pretty much just like Rift).
There's lots of achievements and they are actually worth going for because they will give you points toward leveling up or new outfits to wear. Outfits are limited to body and hat, but there seems to be quite a few of them.
Now, the criticism. The random events turn up way too much, and seem to always be the same ones in the same places. So it's like Guild Wars 2's problem with repeating events, but much worse. Ark falls will also get tiring after a while. I am not too far, so I don't know how things will change.
The game really needs a better explanation of levels and loot. I don't really get EGO level and XP, other than I get to level up my perks once in a while. There is no indication of what level the monsters you are fighting are. Guns are very odd in that you will often get loot that is not a damage upgrade but will have better reload time or other attribute. Guns have level numbers, but you can also level them by using them - not explained well at all. If you are in a quest area with another person you can do the quest together but it is unclear if monster level scales, or more monsters appear or what. Same for Ark falls - there aren't levels of Ark falls, but they might scale based on how many people are in the circle on the map. I have no idea, because the game doesn't tell you.
Inventory is handled pretty poorly. The compare method is pretty messy and you often can't compare items to anything equipped when you are shopping. Items also get stuck in inventory because they can't be sold or destroyed.
I have only played 1 round of competitive MP so far, but again, matchmaking is not explained well and I don't know if I was thrown in with people with vastly better gear or abilities than me.
So overall I am eager to move on with the story missions, but the rest of the game I'm not so sure about. I'm also curious to see how the tv show plays in, as the game takes place in California while the show is in St. Louis. Timing is also a question, since the main characters of the tv show make a cameo at the start of the game.

Man, I logged in and realized I had left all my bags and my bank completely full. Then I had all these gifts in my mailbox for logging back in so had to do all sorts of tossing and juggling. All my roles were reset, but they nicely added some role templates so I was easily able to at least get set up and screw around a bit.

I am deathly afraid of heights. If I am near a high ledge (like on a building) I am holding the railing incredibly tight. Don't like to go near big open windows up high in case they fall out or something. Also have to hold on hard to my keys because I get this urge to throw them over, especially if I'm walking over a bridge. I don't like to feel like I am moving at an uncontrollable speed (like a rollercoaster), but I think that is related to heights/falling.
I have had some OCD-ish tendencies, such as really liking to make sure switches make a satisfying click when I turn them on. Sometimes I'll turn the light back off and on or push up on the switch if I'm not satisfied. But it's something I've been very aware of for a long time (since I was a kid) and I'm pretty good at ignoring the feeling and just moving on so I've never had to ask a doctor about it or anything. Happens pretty rarely these days.
