I guess I will just have to continue to try, i've talked to her on the shore, on the bridge, infront of the gate and nothing has been working. I even tried to go in through the back door that you apparently need a key to get in, found that loading dock you mentioned on accident myself.

I beat Dragonborn the other day and may I just say that the final battle is outrageous. I used my dragon aspect shout to beat it and then also used it versus the Ebony Warrior back in skyrim and may I just say it can work wonders. Quite enjoyed Herma Mora's realm myself, minus the seekers.

I guess what the problem would be is that the gate wont go up for me to get to those doors and since I play on Ps3 I was hoping someone else on here may have. If anyone wants to swing by my skype and compare strategies though its tarren.derais

just tell me your from gaming trend lol.

Hey I just got the Dlc for Skyrim thanks to it finally coming out on the Ps3 and I was wondering if anyone else was having trouble with the Dawnguard Quest "Bloodlines"

I get Serena back to the Vampire castle but the gate wont open for me, and I cant complete the quest, its making me quite angry.

Well thank you both, i've found a few on Craigslist so I will probably just try to grab one of them before people find out that Ps2 is discontinued.
6  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Is it possible to make a Ps3 backwards compatible on: January 19, 2013, 08:01:58 PM
I bought my Ps3 a while back and I have been wanting to make it backwards compatible so I can play Ps2 games without buying a Ps2, is there a program I can download on it or something else that will make that possible or am I out of luck.

They are wonderful games that like David so kindly said, were ahead of their time. They did have a few pitfalls here and there but all in all they were intriguing rpgs and the storyline was wonderful. Describing them though does them no justice if I am asked, they are a must play for any rpg fan in my book, but thas just me.

Now that David is a genius idea, I have played the walking dead game you speak of on Playstation and it was quite fun I think. I loved Dot Hack though I regretably did not become interested in them until the first four games had come out. I know now that I wish I could have kept track of my Ps2 and my set of GU games but now I find myself looking for them again and unable to find them.

I love the installment idea though in my opinion the walking dead episodes were far to short, out of all the time I played the game I think I maybe spent an hour or so playing each episode. Which while the story was intriguing and forced me to make some difficult choices and changed depending on them. It was just to short.

One other thing is I would love to see an actual online MMO based on the world, like the real version of the game. Giant online server and everything though a game of that magnitude would take years to create and is far ahead of its time. Wouldn't it create a wonderful new experience for gamers the world over?

I will completely agree with what you just said Angel, I do not believe that they should have thrown the games out so quickly and maybe if they had taken more time the games would have been that much more enjoyable. But it has been years since they have thrown out a Dot Hack title and honestly I don't think that the fighter they are making will be that good. It will take away all the things that the people like me loved about the previous games.
10  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / I would like to see another Dot Hack title. on: January 19, 2013, 10:52:02 AM
I know from personal experience of playing the 4 original games on the Ps2 and the G.U. series that I would love to see another title. The first Dot Hack games were a little "Wonky" with how they worked. I could hack into areas that were far beyond my level and got me killed in two hits or I would end up in a lower level area and be killing everything in one hit. And the fact that my abilities changed with each piece drove me insane. "I like this ability but this piece of equipment is far better." Was my normal line during my play through.

The combat system in the game was exquisite, with the ability to know what was going on with each character before it happened was very helpful. The story was a little slow going for me and the fact that I was stuck as a twin blade (Though I love that class) didn't strike my fancy. I remembered running through a dungeon and seeing Rose attack something and asking myself, "Why cant I have some big ass sword."

With G.U. they improved on this system with improved AI and the ability to advance in class throughout the story. The guilds were also a nice step and it made me feel like I was part of an actual MMO even though it was clearly only me playing. The guild shop generated great revenue during my quests where I would drop off anything I wasn't using to be sold and come back to a nice chunk of change.

And then there was Death Grunty, Haseo in grunty form. I honestly prefered the grunty in G.U. to the ones in the orignal Dot Hack games, sure they served no real purpose but they were amazing mascots.

At the beginning of each G.U. game they rewarded you for save data of the original Dot Hacks that matched up with their number and then they also rewarded you for playing the previous G.U. And the raised level cap was amazing, I remember playing through the first G.U. to level 150 and taking on some God boss at the end that gave me special armor after almost an hour of beating on him.

The re-emergence of Kite, and his friends Orca and Balmung. Or avatars of their avatars as your so called "Enemies" was an amazing twist even if they were possibly a little over powered. I remember each encounter with them making my heart skip a beat as I said to myself. "OH GOD! THEY ARE GONNA KILL ME!"

Your ability to transform into Skeith was also another nice change, I mean don't get me wrong, the data drain graphics in the first set of Dot Hacks was pretty cool, but they took it to a entirely different level in G.U. Forcing you to change and defeat other Epitaphs was an amazing change.

Now i've heard rumors of a Dot Hack fighting title comparable to street fighter that will feature, Haseo, Kite, Balmung and Orca among others but I would honestly rather see another title like G.U. or the original ones. Does anyone else second this?, Or am I alone in this?
11  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: [360/PS3] Dragon's Dogma on: January 19, 2013, 10:18:09 AM
I ended up selling my copy but I have been tempted to pick it back up and play it again. It was truly a wondrous game. Another thing that was awesome about the pawn system was their ability to bring back items from their travels as gifts from those who hired them. I really liked that part.
12  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: [360/PS3] Dragon's Dogma on: January 19, 2013, 05:46:55 AM
Dragons Dogma was an exciting game that I picked up a little bit after its launch. I loved how you got to design your own character and your companion and the add-ons that popped almost instantly with the game made it that much easier. Weapon packs and rift crystals all accessible with just a few dollars that could grab you the most powerful companions you could find. I know that I was happy to find out that you could hire a PSN friends companion free of charge and that helped me tremendously with hiring my cousins level 85 companion as soon as I found a rift stone. In all I had myself, my warrior pawn, a level 48 mage pawn and my cousins which I cannot remember the class of. My cousin hired my pawn and sent him back to me with the highest level equipment he could get his hands on though that did not help as much as you might think it would have. I especially liked the stamina bar that allowed you to hold onto things, I have almost 29 pictures of my character holding onto the legs of a harpy and being flown through the air which I aptly nicknamed a "Harpie ride." I would give Dragons Dogma a 9.4/10 and would openly recommend it to other rpg and open world game players.
13  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: [PC/360/Ps3] The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - Impressions, tweaks and more! on: January 19, 2013, 05:36:04 AM
I pre ordered Skyrim, picked it up on the midnight launch and logged almost 22 hours of playtime afterwards. The game was honestly a monster in my opinion, but what a wonderful monster it was. I played it on the Ps3 so I was not lucky enough to get the DLC that they did make for it. Though I wanted Hearthfire so I could build a house and adopt a kid, it seemed like a fun idea. One complain I had was on the Ps3 you could only have one save file so if you weren't happy with your choice in race and you wanted to play a different one you were completely restarting. Which I did a few times until I finally ended up on the Nord. Also with Skyrim come patch 1.06 it happened to have a glitch where if you were submerged in water for even a second that the game would freeze your entire playstation 3. I ran into this problem a few times and had to uninstall the game itself and the patch and then re-install them. Mind you the second time this happened to me I had no internet so I could not play my game thanks to the save file having been played with said update.
Another downfall of the game was its many glitches, The Ognam Infinium (I do believe I spelled that wrong) which you could spam using a book shelf and fast level to 81 though it broke the bookshelf itself. A glitch which I exploited a few times myself but only to level my smithing up to 100 so I could forge my daedric armor. Which was the only real glitch other than the patch I found myself. For PC players there are a number of mods that seem interesting, moveable houses and creatures from other games was very interesting. Skyrim is well worth the money you would spend on it and its replay value is one of the highest I have seen in my entire lifetime. I would give this game a 9.7/10 and would recommend to anyone who enjoys a good open world rpg.
14  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Far Cry 3 or Dishonored? on: January 19, 2013, 05:14:14 AM
I realize this is a little late but I pre ordered and played Dishonored when I worked for gamestop. The game was amazing though with how I play it was honestly impossible for me to sneak past more than 2 guards in any level. And trust me I tried. I however did not play Far Cry 3 so I wont bad mouth it but Dishonored was amazing, and does have some replay value in my opinion.

This makes me seriously sad. I loved my PS2 since it honestly was my only system other than my N64. I remember getting it on christmas from my parents with Test Drive and Kingdom Hearts. I stayed up until 2 am with my step father watching me play test drive on the tele in the living room.
