The MP works imho because it's turn based and you can play your turns as and when - i.e you don't have to be connected for your opponent to make a turn. Where it is failing is the server/popularity is just not currently capable of handling the load. They have a number of calls they make - do it correctly and it could be a stayer - do it wrong and it will rapidly fail

I've being doing this for the last few days and its very well done. The screens show the full chat log with the player concerned listed in purple. It shows any report text as well as the players end items, score and other stats like play time. You also see 10 games the player has been reported on. Tbh I've been appalled at the level of behaviour of the players whp have been reported. The only thing I'd like to see added is a vote for the degree of punishment. One surprise is you do see the actual player names

I'd be interested to hear comparisons with shift 2 - love racing games but generally only play one at a time and shift 2's autolog feature is very good

The current plan is it will cost $15 for beta access. This will let you play the beta as much as you want as I update it over SpyParty’s development, and also get you a copy of the finished game when it’s released on PC. So it's effectively an early purchase. That might be actually viable. A filtered early access, ie just signing up doesn't get you in - I assume the dev is just doing it as a normal queue. Signed up, still not sure but I am intrigued

Looks like I am wrong I just thought I'd mention that some of the numbers go DOWN. Just now, Rush was 585 and cogs was 778, then I refreshed the page and RUSH changed to 550 and Cogs to 739.
If its just measureing number of people who own the game, or number of hours the game has been played, it wouldn't go down.

So besides this random air attack thing, how are you guys liking the game so far? I need more impressions to push me over the edge. I'm on mission 10 so I have a reasonable idea of the game. The first level Bagdad (up to level 6) was a lot of fun, relatively straight forward and not to much strategy except at the end. Tokyo is a different matter missions are way bigger and they add triggers into the pot so if I trigger a sentry gun then further down the way a timer starts ticking. However its great fun, certainly easily worth the price of admission and the story whilst not A+++ level is good. I'll be getting any dlc that comes out on this title. My only bug bear is you can't save part way in a mission so whilst I am playing you can restart to the previous check point but if I need to leave I have to redo the mission. But its not a huge issue for me as I am enjoying replaying the missions

Those "air attacks" are your supply drops. They leave behind more repair packs.

no, not those, the strikes that actually damage your units that come from nowhere. Hmmm i'm not sure I know which ones you mean?

lol Ceekay - I did wonder what you were talking about. More play time for you methinks I'd agree re the routing but that is part of the strategy imho. Also I would say treat Bagdad as the tutorial so it is very easy and very clear - it gets far harder and more challenging Shift key to move your units faster - but the 'tutorial' covers that a little further on from where you are

That's the one, I thought Ceekay would have pimped it but couldn't see it for looking. I guess this thread is more relevant having someone who has actually played the game though

I've been playing this one over the last few days. http://www.anomalythegame.com/They've done a good job imho. It's basically a reverse on the tower defence style. Whereas rather than being the defenders your job is to get through the defences. You can decide the routes and change these on the fly as well as the make up of your squad which again can be changed as you get more money and you have some powerups like smokescreen/health etc to add to the strategy. Nicely for an indie game the story is quite strong and adds to the enjoyment. All in all recommended - hope they add some dlc content as I like this style of game

They are quite different. LOL is more team based, Hon is team based but individuals can have a greater affect. As LOL is easier to understand I would definitely recommend that first and it's F2P - and genuinally so

It's one of the reasons I set up a community for players to join in. EU wise we have around 15-25 players on every night. QT3 or GWJ both have mumble servers for US as well.
If you need the EU details let me know

This game looks cool and all but after watching the last video it hit me, this should have been released around 1999. It just seems like a 1999 era game but with much better visuals.
As a side note..I do not think I have the skills any longer to even attempt this game.
Trust me as a 43 year old gamer you do have the skills The heroes that you use are pretty varied from ones that require very quick reactions to others that are more sedate. I'd recommend either a tank to start like Malphite who soaks up the damage or a ranged character like Ashe. Been playing this since January 2010 and still put in an hour or two each night. For US QT3 have a mumble server setup by Bunny fro EU (Andramalech and I play on) then let me know and I have the details. We have between 15 and 25 people on most UK nights

Played this on and off after I picked it during the end of year sale. Love the leaderboard tracking even though I have no hope of cracking the top levels. Those times are crazy but didn't appear hacked either.
Some of the videos in nimbus-world gives an idea how some are done. For instance I hadn't appretiated that going on an escalator twice speeds you up more than just once

2 minor fillings here (aged 43), I put it down to my parents insisting I have a fluroide treatment when I was young - absolutely hated it but very few fillings later it appears to have worked
