Indeed.  A so-called "real" cheesesteak with "Cheez Whiz" processed food product is garbage.

If you're going to indulge, get yourself a good cheesesteak with quality steak and cheese instead.
no no no no no, you just dont get it.  Thats why when you go to other places in the country, the cheesesteaks SUCK.

Its about the blend of chooped steaks with cheesewiz and the KEY is the roll.  Philly has some of the best rolls in the country.
Pete gave good suggestions.  I have lived within 10 minutes of Philly my whole life.
Cheesesteaks are damn good once in awhile as a treat.
FYI- Philly also has great pizza, right there with chicago and NY.

Pats and Ginos are right on the edge of south philly.  So I wouldnt say things like " thats doesn't look healthy"  Youll be met with the dead stare and the " whaddaya on a diet nancy? " and or much much worse.

cant you create and even post for other players your OWN SONGS.  Why isnt anyone discussing that?  to me that is the biggest and best part of this game.

it amazes me that some people act as if being a constitutional scholar , and teaching constitutional law in one of the finest schools in the world , is not worthy experience in itself. ( God forbid we have someone who actually understands the constitution hold the office whos main duty is to uphold and protect the constitution)These same people are also so intellectually lazy they simply ignore the fact that McCain had a terrible academic record.

Maybe this country is just too stupid to exist any longer.

(to give a perspective this was a 100%!!! increase from Kerrys acceptance speech)

Legislative experience != executive experience.
last I checked we had branches of government.  All with responsibilities of governing, hence the name.

did you know

A graduate of Columbia University and Harvard Law School, where he served as president of the Harvard Law Review, Obama worked as a community organizer and practiced as a civil rights attorney before serving in the Illinois Senate from 1997 to 2004. He taught constitutional law at the University of Chicago Law School from 1992 to 2004. Following an unsuccessful bid for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives in 2000, he announced his campaign for the U.S. Senate in January 2003. After a primary victory in March 2004, Obama delivered the keynote address at the Democratic National Convention in July 2004. He was elected to the Senate in November 2004 with 70% of the vote.

As a member of the Democratic minority in the 109th Congress, he helped create legislation to control conventional weapons and to promote greater public accountability in the use of federal funds. He also made official trips to Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. During the 110th Congress, he helped create legislation regarding lobbying and electoral fraud, climate change, nuclear terrorism, and care for returned U.S. military personnel. After announcing his presidential campaign in February 2007, Obama emphasized withdrawing American troops from Iraq, energy independence, decreasing the influence of lobbyists, and promoting universal health care as top national priorities.

7 years in the Illnois senate, 4 years in the US senate along with all the other accomplishments.  Please do you homework before you embarass yourself further.

personally I find it all a bit overwhelming
Ive only played a couple weeks, but I have to agree with Ritt.

The shear amount of abilities is staggering and pretty cool.  an example as shadow warrior you can attack with range, or close in, or skirmish ( which is to hit an move) , you can shoot arrows to take down armor ratings, you can get close and stun, you can nerf attackers damage against you as long as you dont hit em again, you can shoot fire arrows that does ae damage, or you can attack to reduce opponents ability to be healed, or you can disarm opponent, or you can silence enemies,  AND THAT IS JUST OFF THE TOP OF MY HEAD, and probably only incorporates 1/3 of what you can do.  AND you have to make up your mind how to appraoch each encounter in pvp in a second or two,  and you have 30 or so options!!

So I appreciate that anyone can have an opinion, and to each their own, but to say this game has limited abilities is just plain wrong.

In WOW I pvped over a thousand hours at endgame, and to be honest I used maybe 5 or 6 skills TOPS.  In War I was level 11 and had about a dozen abilities and I was USING THEM ALL.  Unlike other games, EVERY skill/ability you get really has a part to play in pvp.

In war if you are a pvp 2 button spammer, you are gonna suck.

16  Gaming / Multiplayer Madness (MMO or otherwise) / Re: Warhammer Online headed to Open Beta on 9/7 on: August 21, 2008, 03:49:14 PM
lets not forget Guilds have 40 levels too!!  lets not forget you actually get to burn down the othersides capital.

I am a bitter old gamer who doesnt have time to waste,  but having tested WAR some,  umm I am in trouble.  This game is gonna be a huge hit.  My only  ONLY reservation is the need to make the gameplay a 'tad' smoother.  ( but lets remember I played with 2000 people jammed into basically under level 20)

so I would recommend anyone who thinks they may like this, give it a try.  Will everyone love it?  of course not,  but this IS GOING to be the next big MMO,  and you'll be sorry if you missed it.

I predict 2 million US subscribers alone by xmas ( thus challenging WOW here in the US)

My PvP server on WoW was horrendous due to a large imbalance and took a long time to become tolerable enough for me to return.
imbalance is not gonna happen. Server have population balances on faction not overall/  example.

Usually games have server overall pop limits.  ex. say 10k subscribers per server.   In WAR they are making it faction based pop limits per server.  Using the above example it would be 5k each side pop limit.  Even if overall pop  is just 8k, it may be filled for one side so (5k dest 3k order) so if that is the case only order accounts could be created on that server, until some destruction accounts are cancelled.

ANyway, game is gonna be huge, I suspect they need at least 24 to 36 servers to start.  In america this game will be as big as wow imho. As for asians markets? we'll have to see.

experience between DVD and BR is only picture quality.
"only"?  and with screens larger and larger this becomes even more important.

Hell I am just saying, average gamer given the choice between two basically the same game consoles but one also has the best new gen movie player built in, I think the advantage is obvious. Its why I chose it, I am a PC Gamer.

I have two upscaling 400-disc dvd changers loaded with dvds, and while Blu Ray may be an impressive video format, it is more expensive, and I don't believe the upgrade in quality justifies the asking price or complete replacement of an existing library.
and this is said by people everytime a format changes. Hell the difference between vhs and dvd was less then the difference between dvd and blueray.  Vhs and dvd basically had same picture quality, you paid and switched content due to some "extras".  The difference between dvd and even "upgraded dvd" picture quality and blue ray 1080 is NIGHT and DAY plus you get even more content now with blueray as if it mattered.

I should save this post and show it back to you guys in 3 to 4 years  LOL.  but then again I did have one friend hold on to a beta max for years so some can be stubborn.

and yes< I understand for downloading a movie or just weekend viewing 1080 may not be necessary, but to own it, why would you settle for something inferior?   Prices will come down, they always do.

Exactly.  Blu Ray hasn't really made a dent in the overall movie renting/buying marketplace.  And there's an excellent chance that the next format of choice will be downloadable, skipping right over physical high def movies, well before the next decade arrives
you guys crack me up.  Go watch a blue ray movie and then say that.  Come on your being silly. I have high def on demand movies and they are CRAP compared to blue ray.  Sorry, its just the truth.

even my wife who like most wives dont really care about pixels and so forth, upon watching our first blue ray a few months actually uttered' "wholly crap" while referring to clarity and almost 3d like image while watching spiderman3 on a big screen in 1080.

Unfortunately as good of a Blu-Ray player as it is, Sony needs to sell games to make money on the machine.  People buying it just as a movie player aren't doing them many favors.
I dont work or own Sony so what do I care about them, I care about me, and for the price, Ps3 is by far the best blue ray player in the market.
As for the market, I find it hilarious that people are worked up about one title, when Sony just won a format war .  So you are not gonna buy the PS3 for FF13, so your arent going to watch high def movies for the next decade?  You're gonna go pay 400 bucks for a blueray only player which is worse than PS3?

comeon, sony won where it counted for them, and if I can get a great next gen movie player, and a decent console for 400 bucks, all the better.

26  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: E3 08 Coverage Begins! on: July 16, 2008, 11:52:53 PM
you guys are getting a lil worked up about FF13 arent you? seriously, so they lost  exclusivity , big deal.  They won the freakin blueray/HD war. PS3 is the best blue ray player on the market and once you see a movie on blueray everything else sucks ass.

come on this aint japan, FF13?  big deal.

good question, possibly they just have the user pop a button saying its not copyrighted,  and then if they receive a complaint or cease and desist, they'll pull it.

No one will be making money off the copyrighted material, so I think pulling it is all that really can be done.

Happens at CafePress ALL the time, and they actually do make money on copyrighted material.  Anywho I am sure they have it covered or they would of never created this,  They did say thats why they wont allow lyrics attached to songs.

I was "MEH" on all three of the conferences.  My god can we get away from the marketing director reading poorly from a teleprompter already.

These "shows" all need WAY more personality.

As for what was shown,  again "meh".  Nothing new in any of hem.  Part 4 of this and part 5 of that etc etc.  As far as downlaodable movies etc,  umm I have had that for years with ON demand and it is fine.  Touting 3 year old tech as if its new is pretty pathetic.

As far as games, Fallout, resident evil 5,  few others but nothing makes me sit up and go wow.

SO for me the winner of E3 is the PC.

The games I really really I AM DYING to play are Battlefield Heroes, and Warhammer Online.

Consoles= Yawn

Let me guess, you wife is kinda OK with computers, Likes to email and play a few word/solitaire games but just doesn't get the whole community,MMOS, and things such as that.  My wife is exactly the same, she thinks the whole talking to people in forums, and especially talking to people via headsets during gaming is sort of weird.

Now add in the media who makes every women fear that their husbands are secretly internet perverts and porn kings when they aren't watching and you have an environment, where not just your wife but many women are made to feel uneasy about the internet.

Yes its somewhat of a trust issue, but it is more of a FEAR issue.  Our media tries to make everyone afraid of everything.  So basically your wife has been made to be afraid of man+internet= terrible things.

Hell I am in software development and I am a project manager, and my WIFE still thinks its weird when we meet on line.

I think its more of things like news and LIFETIME network making everyone woman feel as if their husband may have some dark secret then anything else. This event just allowed your wife to spring and run with this fear.  With womens imagination I am sure she concocted scenarios of torrid love affairs with you and T and you laughing behind her back etc.

Anyhow, just keep talking to your wife, it will blow over.  But hell to this day I wouldn't dare subscribe to classmates since that would send my wife off, AND SHE WENT TO THE SAME HIGH SCHOOL AS ME  LOL

Women can be weird.

Anywho, what makes me a believer in the pushup is a few months ago, I was traveling and could not get to the gym for a couple weeks, so I did various sets of push ups in the hotel every other day. To be honest with you in the 20 some years of lifting, I never really bothered with pushup.  well anyway .. low and behold when I did get back into the gym, my benching went through the roof, best gains I had in years.  SO all I know is I am now a believer in the pushup.

i got a couple

1) fight scenes are rarely realistic at all.  Ever punch a person in the face?  well what happens is ugly,First off to hit someone in the face is stupid, you usually end up either slicing you hand up on their teeth, and/or breaking something in your hand. Hand is made up of all sorts of small bones.  Person receiving the punch usually doesnt go shake it off so easily either.  Ever wonder why all these ultimate fighetrs etc still wear gloves?  yeah, without em it would be really ugly.  Plus real fighters know to fish hook people or pop their eyes out if necessary.  Did you know you can pull a human ear off pretty easily?  anyway, hollywood makes fighting look cartoonish at best.

2) people playing checkers,  always the triple jump going on.

3) people tossing money in the air,  who the hell EVER throws money in the air

4) People dont close doors even though it is suppose to be winter time.  I live in the NE  and if someone doesnt close a door in winter it take all of one second before someone screams "close the fucking door"

5) Guys grabbing women by the arms forcefully during a heated conversation.  Its 2008, you dont grab women ( well unless you are an abuser)

otherwise if you are trying to juggle it will end badly, now if you dont think any of these women are long term relationship worthy, then nail em both.

Also if you are in college or high school, then all above rules are void, NAIL everything that moves. The herd is never fullier or loaded with more possibilities then in high school and college. Take it from us old timers.
