Odd. I was watching season 3 of Seaquest through Netflix last night at work about an hour before I found out. I remember thinking how lacking the show was without his character. Where's a jazz hands smiley when you need one?

Package Sold
Update: No one wants this? Is the price too high? I am going to put it up on Ebay tomorrow. If anyone is interested, let me know before then.
My gaming time is about up. I've been getting into digital filmmaking lately, and don't have the time for it any longer. My gaming pc has now become an editing box. I'm looking to get $500, plus shipping (not sure what that would be, but expect around $50, or a little less. I will get it done for as cheap as possible). Also willing to trade straight up for a PS3, any model (interested in the blue-ray player, for the above mentioned HD videos).
Xbox 360 w/HDMI inc. all cables (comes with a two year extended warranty from Newegg) 1 Wireless controller Wired headset
Games:
Rock Band w/ Drums, Guitar and Microphone. Also has several downloaded songs from live. I can’t remember exactly which songs at the moment, but I believe there are at least 9.
Live games: Cloning Clyde and Carcasonne

Wow, that's awesome. Give that thing a cigarette and we'll have the next Tom Noddy. Screw all of the people who say dolphins are actually stupid. Then again, even dumb kids can blow spit bubbles.

Swiped from Slickdeals. Amazon has a sale going on now where you get both games $49.99. Scroll down to Best Value and click Buy Both and Save. This one will sell out quick though, so hurry. If I weren't spending almost $500 on games this month, I would be all over this.

That would explain why it looked so familiar. I just watched the video again, hadn't seen it quite a long time, and it was pretty much a direct copy, with only a few odds and ends changed. Very interesting to watch, and much more so to play.

I have to go on record and say the Death from Above mission is probably one of my favorite game levels of all time. It's a damn shame it's so short though. I've played through it I don't know how many times, several of them this morning alone. The first time I saw the high caliber rounds tearing across the ground, my jaw hit the floor. The radio chatter is spot on as well. It has that perfect bit of detachment that you hear from the actual soldiers, when viewing videos of the exact thing online. Were they to stretch that level into a full game, I would be in heaven.

I used Babelfish to translate some of the pages and the specs don't mention anything other than an analog tuner. An HD signal will look significantly better on even an sd tv. The one I have in my office is a crappy 19 inch mono GE, and the hd stations look much better than the analogs.

Do you have an HD tv? Halo 3 for the Multiplayer goodness COD4 for the new hotness Dead Rising if your a zombie fan. I eat, sleep and breath zombies, but got bored with the game after a few days. Read into that what you will. (text small, near impossible to read on sd tv) Gears of War for its beauty One of the guitar hero games, if your into that sort of thing, or preorder Rock Band You might also want to look into one of the rental services, like Gamefly or Gamerang. Lots of gaming goodness for $20 bucks a month.

Update - my dad just called me and has apparently ordered two high-powered air rifles complete with silencer and scope to take care of our mutual squirrel problem. They're a menace where my parents live and just annoying where I live. Between the two of us, we should be able to thin the herd. Sounds like you chose the fun option. When you have one in your sights, don't hesitate to pull the trigger. They may be cute and fuzzy, but never forgot they are destructive little rats and will gnaw your arm off if give half a chance. The also make a nice snack and a decent hat, if you're so inclined.

Might have been worthwhile keeping it and trying to flip it on Ebay if there's a shortage through the holidays. I've considered doing that, but I've made it a point in the past not to do so. I hate to think that some kid will go without the game this season because his parents can't afford the huge markup I put on it. If I run across the game at Best Buy, when I go to pick up Mass Effect, I might go ahead and pick it up.

I don't think it's as much a rumor as it is a confirmed plan Thank you for that. I'm still torn about not being able to go through the world tour solo, and it still might keep me from buying it, at least for a while. Edit: I went ahead and canceled. I plan on picking the game up next year, once they've had time to get the world tour online patch and a bit of dl content up. Between Crysis, Mass Effect, Mario Galaxy and Assassin's Creed, my limited game time will be full.

this seems like a really big downer to me.
Same here. Is this verified? If so, it's likely a deal breaker for me. My wife doesn't game, her eyesight is bad, and my daughter isn't coordinated enough to play on anything but easy, and even then she would be an iffy partner. None of my friends, except for a few coworkers, game either. Edit: Guess it is confirmed. Bummer. I'm debating canceling my preorder and spending that $170 on some of the other games I was going to pass up this month. Edit 2: A post, about this very subject, on the official forums mentions a "rumor" that a patch for the world tour to be playable online is in the works. Take that with a grain of salt, as always.

You can play a solo guitar campaign, a solo drum campaign, and a solo singing campaign. If you're asking what you can do with the RB standalone game and a GH3 controller, yes you can play the solo guitar stuff.
I was under the impression that it would work, but you couldn't access all of the bells and whistles like you could with their controller. Hell, I just sold GH3 on Ebay Saturday, believing that it couldn't be used. Oh well.

I absolutely hate you. I've been sitting here all day trying to talk myself out of buying the game, and you had to post this. Damn your eyes man. I'm going to totally be in the doghouse when I walk into Best Buy on the 20th and walk out with RB and ME, and $230 poorer.

Speaking of unwarranted negative feedback, I once got a negative feedback for... get this... not giving the BUYER of a $2 item a feedback. He had ~200 positives already.
Pretty arsey thing of him/her to do. Did they ask you to leave them feedback before giving you a negative? In my opinion though, if they paid you for the item, regardless of their feedback amount or the price they paid, the seller should leave a positive, even if only to say thanks, payment received. It isn't required, of course, but on a site where people judge you by the amount of good or bad feedback you have, the more the better.

Enterprise (sorry Scott Bakula, I used to love thee) killed the franchise. As far as I am concerned, they should have free reign to do with it what they like. If they pull it off an actually jump start it, then great. If not, so be it. It would be hard to kill it again. They could tie Shatner to a chair, have two Klingons hold his butt cheeks open, and let cgi renderings of the original cast fire rubber bands at his asshole for all I care. Hell, that might make a better movie.

God, I hate having to make a decision. Playing HL2, and Eps 1 & 2 from the recliner sounds great. Portal has "just as good on a console" written all over it, and I won't likely play much TF2 multiplayer. But! I can't help but think of all of those great user made maps and mods(that will be made) for Portal, and if I do decide to get into TF2 multi, a larger team would be much nicer.
Edit: Question. Does anyone know if the commentary is available on the console version?
Edit 2:Never mind. It does look as though the commentary is available on the 360 version.

I swore I wouldn't do it, but I broke yesterday and ordered another 360 (sold mine earlier in the year). My excitement for this game was just too much to handle. My purchases over the last couple of months have been numerous (tv, wii, gaming pc), I'm hoping this one isn't the straw that broke the camels back, as the wife was about ready to strangle me as it was. Oh well, maybe she'll have mercy and wait until after I finish ME before shooting me in my sleep.

Non-Gaming / Trading Forum / (SOLD) FS: Xbox 360 w/ 15 games $400
|
on: February 25, 2007, 10:04:37 PM

Edit: Item Sold. Thanks to all who were interested. Edit 2: Updated with additional games I had forgotten. Already sold, but what the hell. Xbox 360. Bought in Oct. 2006, under warranty through MS Oct 2007. Perfect condition, no scratches, all cables included. Wireless controller. The left shoulder button requires a little extra force to detect it’s being pushed, works fine otherwise and is not as bad as it sounds. It likely just stuck and could be popped out by a small screwdriver. I haven't done so, for fear of scratching the controller. Did not sign up for the premium membership (wasn't sure if I wanted it or not), so live subscription will only be what is left of the current billing cycle. No more than a month, and possibly only a day. Will leave the gamer tag on the system, as it has a couple of live games associated with it Included games... All three Burger King Games, worth the price of admission alone  Dead Rising Test Drive Unlimited Gears of War Viva Pinata Condemned Kameo Xbox live games included Uno w all card packs (At least all of the packs that were available since the last time I played, around New Years Day) Assault Heroes (greatest game ever) Zuma Hexen HD Cloning Clyde TotemBall There’s possibly one other live game. I will check once I get home this evening. I believe there is also around 200 Live points left on the gamertag as well. Looking to get $400 shipped for everything. Will ship priority, w/ delivery confiirmation. Will also ship overnight, if requested, at the buyers expense. Will accept payment via Paypal, personal check (item held until check clears), or money order. Help a brother get his hands on a new Dewalt scroll saw for his workshop

I have done so since I was a kid, and will continue until I no longer have teeth. I already make it a point too rinse my mouth out when showering, why not go ahead and brush as well? That's not to say that I only brush in the shower. I brush once when I shower, then at the sink before leaving for work (after lunch), then once more at the sink, before bed. I also stand to wipe, does that make me extra wierd?

Non-Gaming / Trading Forum / FS Guitar Hero w/ Controller (SOLD)
|
on: October 31, 2006, 11:56:38 PM
|
|
Edit: Item sold. Thank you everyone for the interest.
I've decided to sell Guitar Hero with the controller, as I played it for one week and it hasn't been touched since. I also really have no desire to play the sequel. I also need to offset some of the cost of the new games coming out this month.
The game and controller are both in perfect shape, and I also have the original box that it came in. The controller does have some of the stickers that came in the box on it. They were put on well though, by my daughter. She kicks ass at stickers
I'm looking to get $50 shipped for this whole package. I would be willing to go less, but the package is a little heavy, so this shipping will likely run a bit high. I like to send out priority with delivery confirmation, which will probably run close to $10. Due to the length of the box, I will likely be bubble wrapping the inside of the box, wrapping it in brown paper and shipping it that way.
