After last week this episode was weak, but that was to be expected.  It's interesting to see Hiro's conflict with himself.  He knows he has to kill Sylar, but he doesn't have the taste for blood yet.  Watching his transformation will be fun to watch.  Also, Mr. Sulu is back next week!!!!  thumbsup

I've always suspected it would be Ted/Nuclear Man that would go NOVA.  He will explode to get the tracking system

I'm ready for Sylar to die.  I think Linderman's Cabal makes a much better villian at the point.  Maybe that's what they are setting up for season 2

The fans really deserves a two hour finale for this season.  Stretching the show out for two more weeks in just brutal

Played some Medieval Total War 2 landed.  Landed 3k worth of troops in Antioch and took it from some rebels.  The Mongols and Bzyantine are currently attacking me to take the city.  Fun times!

It's parody.  These things are to be expected with a major election looming.

On a side note I just heard the Obama just had to get Secret Service protection. His camp isn't confirming if he was threatened, but me think that he has.  I think this is the reason Colin Powell didn't run.  Cause some nut wanted him dead due to the color of his skin

You know what is strange though is last night I loaded up the game and of course downloaded the patch, and I had trouble with an NPC being invisible but still attacking me with his bow and sword. I wasn't sure if he was simply stealthed or not, but my gut feeling was that it was a new bug from the patch. Anyone else experience this?

Actually, there is a quest where the whole town is invisible, so it might not have been a bug

Waiting to get feedback on Spiderman 3.  If it holds up I'll get it.  other than that nothing

Thinking of getting UFO as well.  Some of the early buzz is positive.  Might go for the d2d version from Matrix

Since i like the Dresden Files TV series I decided to take a crack at the books.  So far I've read

Storm Front
Fool Moon
Grave Peril
Summer Knight
Death Masks

I'll be starting Blood Rites tonight and I have Dead Beat after that.  The books are enjoyable reads, but his action scenes almost always play out the same.

You know it's pretty easy to respond to things like this and have no true understanding of what it feels like to be a minority in this country.  Is the time for civil right laws or affrimative action is over?  I'm not sure.  Sometime I think there time has come, but then I hear someone like Imus and I'm reminded of why those laws where passed

What I do know is that my grandparents and parents lived under some pretty nasty Jim Crow laws that where on the books alot longer than Affrimative Action and Civil Rights.

Those that asked..Yes, calling a black women a nappy headed hoe is considered fighting words for a black man, so yeah Imus crossed a line few would even venture

For the record I don't think Imus should be fired.  It's his right to say what he wants, but he should be man enough to deal with the reprecussions.  He's been exposed as a closet racist and that's fine with me.

Anyway, back to your regular conversation about minorites getting up in arms about such silly nonsense  nod  Roll Eyes

I'm amazed anyone could dislike this movie. What do you guys consider "fine cinema"? If you favorite movie is Stealth, then yeah, maybe this isn't the movie for you, but unlike a lot of movies where reviews are merely lukewarm, this film has overwhelmingly positive reviews, some of the highest reviews in a long time, so usually that is a good indicator it is not just good, but excellent.

Stealth suck

My idea of fine cinema:

Godfather 1 & 2
Saving Private Ryan
Do the right thing
The Departed

The Children of Men just didn't grab me.  I found it pretty okay.  Glad I didn't pay money to see it at a Movie House

Heh, as far as Microsoft is concerned it's the other way around.  MS has admitted to not being willing to release Halo 3 in October so it doesn't compete with GTA and their have been strong hints that they are considering a Halo 3 September release to get it out before GTA4.

That make sense as well.  I forget that GTA4 will be released on both PS3 and 360

The justification for u[grading to Blu-Ray or HD-DVD just isn't there.  To be honest I'm happy with DVDs and probably won't look to upgrading til I have a TV that supports 1080p.  I love my 1080i TV and see no reason for upgrading at the moment.

DVD took of once the players came down in price and the same thing will probably happen one Blu-Ray and HD-DVD players drop in price

You know I was thinking about keeping my PS3 and saying to hell with MS anyway and selling my 360 before the next update decides to brick my system. Do you know if the Spring update includes the "brick every 40th system" code in it?

I'm still on the fence about it though.  icon_confused

I'm sure you guys know that probably the biggest driver is their desire to ramp up the marketplace movie downloads/tv downloads.

Well, as Penny Arcade pointed out, then perhaps they should have subsidized the new HDD so it wasn't so expensive with the idea of making it up on marketplace downloads in the long run.  As is, I'm loathe to buy the 120 Gig drive at almost $200.00 and sticking with the 20 Gig drive severely hampers my desire for much of the marketplace content.

First of all agree completely, second I don't think there are enough people like gellar to think this is a wise move, and finally (Although I seem to be the only person that is still harping on this), if they really want to ramp up the marketplace for movie downloads, make it competitive with every other rental service out there. The fact that people are renting and downloading movies from them for 4 dollars a pop that sometimes take 24 hours to download and they they only have 24 hours to watch or they lose it is so insanely insulting to consumers that can get 2 DVDs out at a time for 10 bucks from blockbuster and watch 8 or so of them in a month for twice that cost and spend as long as they damn well choose to watch them is just mind-boggling. The fact that MS doesn't recognize this flaw is equally mystifying. I wish more people were as annoyed about it as I am, because frankly I WANT to download and watch HD movies. I want to do it now, but I won't do it the way they have it set up.

I think MS hands are tied on this, Calvin.  The deal they have with the Movies Houses probably have this insane stipulation.
