What can I say.  The only good thing about that game was nothing.  As Poncho knows I hate all things Steelers.  I must give credit to the first TD by the Steelers that was a sweet throw with a awesome catch.

Was able to spend some extended time with EA last night - experienced the first time where I couldn't save for about an hour.  Yeah, I'm accustomed to that (with playing PS2 RPGs and such) but it was the first time I wasn't able to save for an extended period of time AND I really wanted to go to sleep for work today.  Ah well though.

There are parts in this game where you can't save?   Well, fuck.  thumbsdown

Well, I've ran into a mission bug last night.  I was working on one of the Rollerz mission and I have to protect 3 trucks from being hi-jacked.   I get to the third truck and kill all the rollerz, but the mission never completed.  I had to replay the mission three times before I got the completion.   It seems I had to use some hand grenades to actually blow up the Rollerz cars.

Adam - take the goddamn job.  Seriously dude, it's a whole hell of a lot better than your wafer job AND it's working with/around video games.

It's what you've always wanted to do - have a job positioned around video games.

I hope you're not even considering to turn down the job.

PLUS you'll actually be working normal hours and not killing yourself working graveyard shifts.  And, not to mention, those crazy weird things on your knuckles will actually heal and look normal.

Who exactly receives the "report" ?

I am going to test it out for myself on Scott for even hinting I was talking about someone other than Kate Beckinsale in the 2142 thread, but I would like to know how it actually works behind the scenes.

Are we allowed to report stupid comments?

Is there a way to check how many times we/others have been reported?  Who's winning?

I have all of a sudden become fascinated with this whole process.

Yes, the 360(I'm assuming you are talking 360) can be hooked up to your PC monitor.  There should be several threads on this forum relating to it.  Last one was a guy heading off to college if I'm not mistaken

So, I'm playing Counterstrike: Source and naturally the first server I join is near full.  I join the terrorist side and realize that I'm surrounded by "Nigger hating Jew" "Nigger Swing" "Hung Nig" "-_NickNig_-" and "BlackJesus".  Wow.  Just wow....  Before I can even log out, the chat is already filled with random and pointless racism and talk about "Yo, I'm gonna log out and smoke a bowl".

I hit the next server and I don't see any racist names.  Well that is a start.  A few uneventful rounds go by and I'm low on cash.  I switch to pistols and armor, but apparently I'm not moving fast enough.  Over in-game voice I get "Move your ass you fucking stupid monkey nigger!".  Just wow...  I make some comments about keeping their pointless racist comments to themselves.  They really come out of the woodwork now and just lay into me with racist bullshit.  I disconnect.

I hit my third server of the night and apparently I've found a pot smoking clan.   Everyone's name is something like "Resin_Man" "Budz" or the like.  You can imagine that voice and text chat was all about how to use your pool cover to grow your own pot.

Seriously.  What the hell?  Is everyone on the damned Internet a racist druggie??

Add the internet+ anonymity+ youth+ lack of parental supervision= what you got.   Big part is the anonymity.  Most wouldn't be caught dead talking like that around parents or adults. Sadly, that why I avoid open servers

Thoughts and Impressions after kicking Soulchilde's ass ... err, after playing for a bit:

1) The game is pretty much no-frills, no extras, straight up, poker.
2) The interface works.  There is nothing super innovative that I (we) saw, but it is certainly serviceable, and non-combersome for the most part.
3) Betting is easy, and the use of triggers was a good move by the developers.
4) Countach set up our room and between he and I did some inviting.  It seemed to work pretty well, although Grue got in without an invite.  Either blind luck or his preferred player list got him into the room with us.  I would suggest if there are enough people online (on your friends list) at once, making a private room might be better.  That of course will depend on how long we all are interested in playing.
5) The chatting and stuff makes the game more fun.  Without it, playing for fake money, I'm not sure it would hold alot of people's interest for very long unless they are big Hold'Em fans, in which case, I think it wouldn't matter.
6) There is a single player component, as well as multiplayer, each with different play types including tournaments, which is cool.

Here are some highlights from the first game I was in:

1) I ended the game with more money than Soulchilde.
2) That's really the main highlight as far as I'm concerned.   icon_smile

Was fun.  I will play the game more, but mostly due to the genuinely cool people we have on our forums.  The game itself is fine, but I think unless you're in the mood to play, sit around and bullshit with the guys, etc... it wouldn't be something you would race home to do.

Things we pretty much agreed on:

1) Getting and using the camera while playing this game could be painful.  Noone really wants to see Soulchilde's face.
2) The Ravens are going to win 10 games this season... or so someone predicted.
3) KeySJU is going to buy a racing wheel when he sees it on the shelf for Forza, even though he will tell you he won't.
4) YellowKing will tell you he "stinks at this game", then proceed to win two hands in a row and run off with your money.
5) I fold alot, and when I actually do win hands, they are for some of the smallest amounts of money imaginable.
6) ping is pretty good, but will try to get you talking about other things so you don't notice how many hands he's winning.
7) Harkonis bought a fighting stick to play Street Fighter II, and plays alot.  If he challenges you to a duel, you have been warned.
8 ) Quite a few people from our forums like to visit Alaska.

On a closing note, I think 10 to a table would be even better than 8.

ALL LIES!  except the part where I left the table with less money than Poncho  saywhat   Anyway, looks like this will be a good game for awhile so I'll win my money back.  Luck was on his side last night  mad

Great fun all!!!
