Jarrod, thanks for the reply. I appreciate it.

I did try your suggestion, but I'm still missing something. I've read the book (talking about Elandir's life and teachings). I've cleared everything I possibly can. I can see mobs on the mini-map past the Agallan statue (that I can talk to, but says that only Agallans may pass), but I can't get back to them. I can even see a pathway (with more spinning columns) to the southeast of the statue that's blocking me, but it seems to be blocked by a stone wall and I can't bash it open like a secret area. When I return to the original quest giver, he still has a gray question mark over his head and only tells me "Good speed, and may the Fates guide you."

Is there a item in your inventory that you have to use near the statue?

Now  I am stuck.   I'm trying to get to the floating city.   I reactivated the Machine Core and clue stated to follow the beam of lights and it would show me the way to get to the city.  Well, I followed the beam back to the entrance of the machine core and I haven't found  a exit , lift or portal to the city.  How do I get there?

Wasn't going for looks with the case and I kinda like the way it looks.

Haven't total the entire build, but I guesstimate around 600.00

My build is near a end.  My new rig is up and running, but I need a new case as my heat is pretty high in my 5 yr old mid atx case.  So I'm getting :

XCLIO A380 Silver SECC 1.0mm thickness ATX Full Tower Computer Case

and

ZALMAN CNPS 9500 AM2 2 Ball CPU Cooling Fan/Heatsink

This will prettu much end my build except adding more ram and another 7600gt card to run SLI

Once again, not reading the post, this has nothing to do with video game market share. Nintendo as a company, is worth almost as much money as Sony, a company that makes about 100 times the amount of products and is in many different markets. I was amazed to see this since Nintendo is focussed totally on Video games and Sony is in everything from TVs, Movies, and a multiplicity of other electronics.

No I understand what the article is stating.  My opinion is that the casual market is HUGE.   Nintendo basically does games and that almost equals all of Sony product lines.

Sometimes I get telemarketers from India calling and the CID shows a local number that doesn't work.

Every once in awhile I get a call and some guy is on the line talking some foriegn language.  The call is always from a 310 area code and since I'm in a 410 area code I'm assuming someone just dialed the wrong number.  Maybe it's something nefarious  ninja I should talk to ATT about

SWG -that game was just painful to play.  SOE screwed the pooch by not allowing Jedi from the start.  Even if the nerfed the Jedi advancement at least people would have been able to play them

Horizon- You could play  freaking Dragon, but the gameplay was the suck and the lag was horrendous

Wing Commander 4- They killed a excellent series with this game

While the logic of "buy it all at once" cannot be denied, I understand where you're coming from on this topic.

I understand the logic, but with graduations, classes and multitude of other family issues coming up stashing money away just wasn't working.  I normally buy parts all at once, but right now I have to use this option

To answer your question, the 7600GT will kick the GS' tail out of the water for the most part. Yes, the GS has more RAM, but GT's core speeds are faster than the GS, and 256 thoroughbreds will out-pace 512 mares any day.

Thanks.  I'm going with the GT.

So are ghosts real?

(Yes... that is a serious question).

You have to watch the show, but they have caught some stuff on camera that might raise a eyebrow.  They go into the investigation trying to disprove hauntings.  They haven't caught any ghost on camera, but they have caught chairs moving, glasses breaking and bed sheets being moved off a sleeping person.

4349  Non-Gaming / Hardware / Software Hell / PC upgrade help on: June 05, 2007, 12:27:55 PM
My PC has been dying a slow death.  It's about 4 years old and has been a solid workhorse and while I could buy a few parts to keep it going I've taken it as a sign that I must upgrade.  I'm shooting for a med-range system.  Something that will last me a few years like ol'Betsy that it will be replacing.  All parts will be brought from Newegg as they haven't ever let me down as far as parts

Processor

AMD Athlon X2 4200+

I've been a AMD fanboi since I started PC gaming and I see no reason to stop now.  I figure this was a nice bang for it's buck .  I ordered Friday and it arrived Yesterday.  99.00 bucks+free shipping was a good deal in my eyes.

Hindsight, I should have brough this last, because I have no way of testing it.

Next purchase will be  Video Card.  Again, I'm a Nvidia fanboi and will be sticking with them.  I like the EVGA cards , so I am deciding between:

EVGA GeForce 7600GS 512MB GDDR2

or

EVGA Geforce 7600GT 256MB GDDR3

Because I will eventually be running SLI my buddy suggest I go with the 7600GS card because of the increase memory, but I am leaning to the 7600GT.  I can't give you a reason why...let's just say I like saying 7600GT smile

I would like some opinions on this.

Btw, if you haven't figured this out I building this in pieces.  Finances are tight, but I'm a gamer, so I am making a way to get these parts.  Hopefully, I'll be completed by early July.

Will update later on MoBo, RAM and power supply

Thansk for any advice

I need help people.  I want to sign my son up for Xbox Live on his Xbox 360.  Is there a way I can do this under my own account and pay for it on my account?  In other words, he has all the benefits of Live and I pay for it under my account.

I think you will have to set him up on his own account.  I did a search on xboxlive.com, but I couldn't find anything for certain

Quote
I was trying to download updated rosters for MLB 2K7 for him on his Xbox 360, which only has a memory card and he is not signed up on Live.  I thought I could download the rosters for him but it won't allow me unless he has a gamertag on Live.

I believe this is true.  It's MS way of protecting content

Quote
Another question.  If his gamertag is not available when I set him up on Live will his achievements he has gathered offline (with his offline gamertag) transfer over to his new gamertag?  How do you do that?

Any help will be appreciated.  Thanks!

Achievements are tied to gamertags.  He might lose them.  Again, I would check xboxlive.com to see if they have any information on the subject
