3924  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Werewolf Game- Game Over-Werewolves Win!! on: April 09, 2008, 12:23:35 PM
It will probably be a basic game with 2 werewolves and a Seer.  If enough interest I might add a Hunter. If we get ten I'll start the game

The Basics:

Bad Guys
Two Werewolves.  Each night can kill one person.  Allowed to PM each other at anytime

Good Guys

Seer.  During the night cycle can scan any player.  Will be given true role of any player

7 Villagers.  Wolf Bait.  Cannot PM.

During each day the villagers must vote one player to face the gallows.  Majority rules. No time limit on voting. Once majority reached  voting is closed
Talking during night cycle is allowed
Please watch the meta gaming
Roles will be randomly assigned

Order of turns

Seer Scans
Werewolves have dinner
Everyone willl receive a PM.

1. Austin
2. Stessier
3. Newcastle
4. Purge
5. Semaj
6. Arkon
7. Remus West
8. Rickfc
9. Goldchamp
10. Brendan

Hark not sure if you are serious or not.   If so a simple in will suffice

Me too...  I was so excited when WoW came out about getting to play in a world containing all the characters from Warcraft.  Then I find out that unless I'm willing to make WoW my full time job and find 25 friends to play with online for years on end I'll never get to see half the content in the game.

Just seems like such a broken concept.  I've never gotten to see half the instances with my 63 Shaman, never mind any of the Raid content.

+1  I love WoW.  It's so casual, but having to raid to see content sucks.

I'm going to ask a really, really dumb question here, but I'm seriously curious.

When a person adopts a dog from a shelter, does the dog already have a name, or does the new owner get to name the dog himself?

They seem to have names and I'm okay with that.

CeeKay that's where I'm getting my dog at the SPCA on Falls Road
3945  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: Going to adopt a Dog this weekend from the SPCA on: March 31, 2008, 08:40:38 PM
Thanks for the advice all.  I'm certain not going to grab a dog just for being cute.  That would be a mistake for sure.  I did the dog matcher before and the Pug was one of the dogs that came up, but finding a breeder in my area is proving to be a chore.  Believe me I looked
3946  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Going to adopt a Dog this weekend from the SPCA on: March 31, 2008, 07:28:16 PM
Been thinking about this for awhile and I finally decided to adopt.   I haven't owned a dog since my childhood pet had to be put down when I was 22 yrs old.  So this coming weekend I plan to walk away with a dog from the SPCA.  I was thinking about getting a pure breed Pug, but not sure if I want to deal with the health issues pure breed tends to have, so I get a nice mix breed  which seem to be heartier and be happy.

If I get a mature dog order than a year is it to late to crate train?  Looking for advice from other that might have adopted from their local SPCA

I mean, that shit really happens and I think they handled the movie with real class.

And any idiot who didn't read his contract deserves what he got. You sign up for eight years (regardless of your active duty time), they make it pretty damn clear when you enlist.

I'm with Lee.  They told me over and over and over and over that this is an 8 year deal - 4 years active, 4 years inactive.   I can't support this nonsense.  This was clearly written by somebody who has never served.

+1   When I signed up I was told many times before I signed the dotted line it was a 8 yr deal no matter how long I was active duty.   I have no sympathy for those that don't realize the commitment involved when you join the military

3951  Gaming / Multiplayer Madness (MMO or otherwise) / Re: is Warhammer Online dead? on: March 28, 2008, 04:12:20 PM
The only thing that worries me about RvR is population balance.  I remember playing Midgard on Palomides and Albion having more players than Mid and Hib combined.  Made the frontier pointless unless you had a dedicated RvR team.

Anyway, I'm still looking forward to Warhammer.  As I got my CE pre-ordered already

Just because it says, as Fallout did, what happened after the game ends, that doesn't make each mix and match of positive/negative results is a different ending.

So saying there are 240 different endings, when you are in actuality mixing and matching between a short number of actual results... that's pretty freakin limp.

Then I'm curious how you would express it.  It's been stated that it's a permutation, and the total number of permutations has been given.  What part is BS?

I could beta test if you like just to confirm your internal numbers...please..  nod

Wow, that's pretty bad.

Just wondering but did you player Resident Evil 4 or Gears?  How do the controls stack up to those games?

I didn't play RE4 but I did play through Gears.  Gears controls were similar but I didn't have any aiming issues with Gears. Aiming was pretty smooth and natural.  In this game I found myself diving past cover into open areas, aiming for someone's head and the cursor would drift after I stopped moving it and stuff like that.  Gears didn't have those issues.

Doh...  I've been watching the 1up video podcasts and the animation and framerate looked solid, but I think they was showing the PS3 version.  Maybe the issue is with the 360 version?  Sad as I was considering picking this up after the 1up review I saw
