It's one of the main reasons why I continue to refuse to date.  I have my gaming systems to come home to from work!  The X360 is the pinnacle of gaming systems.  Much better than any woman could hope to ever be!

Ahh, summer!

I forgot to mention my number one favorite feature of the xbox 360... YOU CAN TURN IT ON AND OFF WITHOUT EVEN GETTING UP!!!!  Oh yes, I am a lazy son of a bitch.  This feature makes me very happy.

I have to admit that this part freaking kicks ass.  If the PS3 doesn't have this for us lazy ass coach potatoe americans I will be quite upset

I guess I'm in the minority, but I like the 360 version of Madden.  I don't care about no practice mode or any of that other shit.  I just want a game that I can play solo or with my buds.

Hell, I love my PSP version and the 360 version as well.  I am a die-hard football fan, but dealing witht he salary cap , practicing my players  is just something I could really care less about when I am playing a football game.

KOTOR2 -on the 360-missed it when it came out the first time.  Rental from gamefly 4tw

COD2-finished the SP and played some MP

Gauntlet-360 arcade-Fun game when you play with people that know what to do

Madden 06-360- Lost my first franchise game vs. the Titans.  A nail biter that went into OT

WoW-this is been getting less of my time lately cause of the 360

Smash TV demo-360- still considering getting the full version

Hexic HD-360-marathon mode-While most seems to like Geometry Wars I am enamored with this puzzle game.  Its so cool that you can quit out and restart from where you left off at

MS was sort of backed into the corner for this.  NA gamers have been used the 299.99 price point for quite awhile.  While I think MS should have just released the premium system at the 399.99 price I think they feared not getting the most users

Will it be phased I think so.  If it isn't phased then I can see MS producing less as time moves on.

I have Gauntlet and I really like Hexic HD.  I d/l Smash TV free trial and I am considering getting the full version, but I think Smash TV is only good if you play with other people like Gauntlet

This does bring up a question though. Is the default Y axis Up = Up or is it like an airplane where Up = Down?

The aiming really sucked for me in the demo, as it was backwards.  How often do you need to aim in the game?

Thats pretty accurate from what I understand of 720p and 1080i.  Unless, you really know what to look for the average user won't notice the difference

Yeah, my power brick is outside my TV stand  near the wall and my 360 is under my tv on a stand and no issues whatsoever

I also I have put in some marathon gaming  recently.  Kotor2 has been occupying my time now.

Figured I'd start a thread for general questions so we can keep 'em in one place:

1) Can you copy music from a connected PC to your 360 HD? If not how can you get music on there for playlists? Do you have to rip CDs right from the unit to the HD?

I believe with the Media extension for XP you can.  Hetz can probably confirm this.   You can rip from you CD to HD or stream from a outside media device.  I have done both

2) Can you recharge your controller battery pack while the unit is off?

I believe the unit has to be on for the play and charge kit to actualkly work.  I could be wrong as I don't have it myself

Can you say straight to DVD

Maybe the teen boys will keep it in threaters

Top 5 for me

1. COD2 -Love this game!  Just started the American campaign and I am loving it. MP is fun but seems to suffer from lag at times

2. Madden 06- This game just oozes atmosphere- Last night I was playing against the Colts and Peyton was slicing me up.  I had  switch to a Nickel defense to contain their passing game.  I Love it!

3. Kameo-Hetz was right about sticking with it.  Its turning into a gem of a game

4. Hexic HD- I deleted the crap MP3 they had and ripped some of my personal favs to the HD so when I play this addicting game it can help me concentrate

5. PDZ- A good game, but something isn't clicking with me. Beatiful game, but the action doesn't seems as fast and furious like COD2. Also, it seems the kiddies have flooded the MP poortion of PDZ.  I played with some complete dreges last night.  One game it was 12-4 and I was one of the 4.  Also, I heard some of the most vile lanuage that I wouldn't want to expose anyone too

This is still the best one in my opinion

Well, I just got off the phone with RitzCamera.com and spoke to their customer service. Ritzcamera has NOT recieved any Xbox 360's. WHich tells me that they never planned on shipping any units on the 21-22nd. IN otherwords, you're fizucked.

Well, until I see actual gameplay footage and not pre-rendered footage its all smoke and mirrors.  I felt this way with the 360 and I feel this way with PS3.  The 360 can probably render footage that EA showed off with Madden 06, but that was without anything else thrown in.  The CPU and Graphic card just had to do was the visuals. Throw gameplay  and everything else in and you have the much tone down version of the Madden 360.  Very nice visually, but no where near the quality that EA was showing


Its the same thing with the PS3 til Sony proves me wrong.  The footage of Killzone and MGS 4 looks fantastic, but unitl I see actual game-play I won't believe the hype

Do you really expect for Sony, who is launching up to a year after Microsoft, to come out with a machine that has less capability than the Xbox 360?

Right now, my primary concern is the price and the developer support. PS3 graphics are the least of my worries.

No, I don't expect the PS3 to be less capable system than the 360.  In fact I hope it surpasses the 360.  My point  is that while visuals are nice actual gameplay is what impresses me.  Sony and MS touted the graphic prowess of their new consoles, but MS at least showed actual gameplay eventually.  Sony is still riding the visual prowess of the upcoming PS3.  Give me gameplay


Also, being backwards compatible isnot that important to me.  I rarely hold onto titles unless they are real special to me and I haven't had one of those in awhile.  Going back to play a game that I previouisly beat is something I rarely do.  I understand this is important to others but to me its a "Who Cares"

Also, I really hold any loyalty to either MS, Nintendo or Sony.  To me its all about the games and gameplay

I think now that it released the price will drop on ebay.   Check the market, but I think MS said most stores will have steady shipments starting next week.

Picked it up yesterday and it kept me for playing Gauntlet with Hetz last night sorry man.  Was having too much fun

If it comes in around the 300-400 price range count me in.  Anything else I will wait

Where did you hear this?  I went through absolute HELL getting mine changed.  In the end, they wouldn't do it and I cancelled my account (dumping 3 months of Live in the process) to get CG off the end of my name.

Get yourself set up for Live tonight as I am sure the servers will be hammered late tomorrow.  The sooner the better.  Next send out the friends request.  Then load up Kameo to marvel at the visuals and play around abit.  Next load of COD2 and play that!

My TV only does 480p, 480i and 1080i, so I the let the 360 do the up conversion.  I have it set to 1080i and it looks great
