For the 2nd time, I did not vote for newcastle. Austin voted for him, please see above. I have not made any vote on the 2nd day yet.

Correction: I did vote for Purge on the 2nd day and then removed it.

Mod Note:  Scoop is correct that he has never voted for Newcastle.  It was a error on my part.  Vote count updated on page 6

I bought a 32" Insignia at Best Buy about a month ago when it was on sale for $499 and I have been very pleased with it.  Regular price is $599, but I'd bet that it might go on sale again by black Friday.  This is the second model of the 32" Insignia NS-LCD32 and I've read nothing but good impressions about it (I think the first silver version was a bit flaky).  It may not be as super as some of the higher end ones, but for $500 it's less than half the price my parents paid for their Samsung and I don't have a single complaint.

If you are a Rewards memeber, the $500 pricetag will also get you $10 back in coupons, and if you have one of the 10 or 12% off coupons that can save you money up front.

Yeah I've been eyeing that one.  Think I am going to hold off a few weeks as I'm in no rush with my mortagage is due soon, so I won't be buying a TV this weekend.  It's going to hurt as my 360 was in my Bedroom and gaming in HD has me spoiled

Not a bad price for a 720p TV.

Are you looking for a specific size of TV?

Too Small.   Thinking 24-25 inches at least.   I was looking at Best Buy earlier and nothing stood out to me.

Well, I just finished up Half-Life 2 last night for the first time and I like the game.  To many jumping puzzles  for my liking, but enjoyable nonetheless.  I just started Ep 1 and I am working my way thru the dark car tunnel.

Oof, that sucks Soulchilde!  Any brands that you don't want to look at?  Also, do you need 1080p or will 720p work for ya?

Either is fine with me.  I'm not a HD nut I know I just need it smile   Money is tight so I will be using a old SDTV til next week when I can get it.  Online retailers are okay and brand doesn't matter smile

3848  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: [HEROES] - Season Two. Anyone IN? [spoilers inevitable] on: October 16, 2007, 01:58:05 PM
All in all, a very uneventful and rather boring filler episode. (still good quality television, just Heroes has been better)

+1 for this comment by Dragonfyre.  Boring Heroes is better than 90% of the stuff on TV

I love heroes, but I'm starting to become tired of the show's formatting. I want more episodes like S1's Company Man, focusing on a few heroes and revealing a lot, rather than the bite sized stories

+100 Again I am loving the show, but having ten different story lines is killing the show.  FYI, I think they are trying to go bigger and better with more heores, but I think having so many plotlines is killing the show

Also, give Hiro and Ando thier own spin off Heroes show.  The kid deserves it  thumbsup

How do you make your own maps?  Do you just load a program and place tiles, or do you have to be smart and stuff?

Valve should release the SDK kit soon, so the Mod community can get to work.  That's why the game only cam with six maps

Backstory-

GTville is a small Hamlet situated where gaming is king, but something else lurked underneath.  Unknown to the small hamlet two of there members are cursed. Seems when the local tax collector showed up for Bovine Conspiracy he took more than just a few coins.  He left two souls damned.   GTville don't know it yet, but they are in a fight for there lives.
