Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Fight Night Round 3 DEMO!!! On Xbox Live Marketplace NOW!
|

I like the Marketplace as well but don't understand the cost of things. I see a download is X number of whatever those things are and my balance is zero. How in the hell do I get these 'dollars'? I am playing games. What more am I supposed to do? You have to purchase the MS points. You can actually buy a card from a retail store or purchase them online. There is scale around here that breakes down how many points = dollars

Well, I like the game and I might just pick it up. I love Boxing. I can do quite well with Bernard Hopkins, but kept getting my arse kicked with Roy Jones Jr.
I think I will be spending sometime playing this demo. My only issue was with the announcer. When I was winning with B. Hopkins they kep saying I was getting my ass kicked. It was the same when I was playing as R. Jones. They kept saying I was beating B.Hopkins when I was clearly losing. I hope they fix that

While the SP game is fun I imagine that MP is where this game is going to shine. The game is like Burnout and Twisted Metal mixed together and the results is Full Auto. This game has just went on my must own list

Besides - its not how it works. The Devkits connect to a completely seperate Live called Partnernet to prevent just this kinda thing. Yup, that's it. Partnernet is like a "shadow" Xbox Live where everything is available and points flow like water from fountains Unfortunately it means that since I don't have a 360 at home yet ( ) no one can see my amazing Geometry Wars achievements ebay :p Or steal Calvin's 360

I just read the IGN review and I found this little nugget for those of us that know we will get our asses kicked There are 45 achievements spread across all modes, which is an extraordinary amount of achievements. You'll unlock one by beating the story mode once, another by playing the game for five hours, another for playing it 10 hours, another by beating the timed mode in a certain time, and more. A bunch are unlockable by vying online, like playing 50 matches unbeaten for an achievement, or surviving 100 matches unbeaten online. Itagaki likes to make you work for everything. Team Ninja's trademark sense of humor is also well captured in the online mode. If you lose five times in a row, you'll earn an achievement...of zero points. Nice.

I have the 22 buck plan, but I am thinking of down-grading. I like the service, but the turn around time can be a pain. Sometimes it can take a weeks since I sent a game back before I get another, but its because I'm on the east coast and Gamefly is on the West coast. When the fast track service works it cuts down the turn around time considerably.
Games come in good condition and I have no complaints. I actually just picked up NFS:MW from them with thier keep it option.

Kameo- Its a fun game but I would say you need to like platformers. I was bored with it rather quickly and used it for trade bait. I would say rental
Condenmed-Its different to say the least, but I think I would have enjoyed it more if it was an actual shooter, but I understand why the developer made the game they way they did. It just didn't hold my attention. Its was a rental for me. Also, its about 10 hours of gameplay
PGR3 vs NFS:MW - PGR3 is more of a sim and must here seems to like it, but I like the arcade feel of NFS:MW. There are some moments in this game that will make your palm SWEAT! There is nothing like being at wanted level 4 and well into a 10 min chase and you get away. I highly recommend NFS:MW if you like arcare racer
PDZ: Its a hit or miss. I finished it, but I was a little disappointed. It really is a slow paced shooter. The Live portion is the most robust, but it seems most of the Kiddies flock to it as well. I stick with COD2

Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / DS or PSP?

Playing fetch with some dog or looking for a fish pole doesnot make a good game. I see its the stylus that makes the DS a better systems. We get your point already, just because you don't like those kind of games, doesn't mean they are bad. AC on the GC was a nice relaxing game. You don't like it, great, we know. Yet, it is still held up as example of why the DS > PSP. So it can be used in the arguement, but I can use it as a rebuttal?

Wow, simply WOW. So basically cause the games are ports that DS is a better system?
I don't know but being able to play Xmen Legends and Madden 06 while I'm on Mass Transit makes the PSP a better system imo.

I think Devil is dead on, but you are right and we are wrong. I guess we should bow down to the DS

Well, while that may be true, as I've mentioned in previous threads on this, the DS started hitting its stride in the late spring, only 6 months after system launch. The PSP's been out roughly 9 months and still hasn't hit its gaming stride yet, so I find that argument a moot point.
Again, thats your opinion. I think the PSP is now hitting its stride. GTA: Liberty City, Madden 06, SOCOM and Armored Core all play great. Not to mention the Prince of Persia, King Kong and Xmen Legends getting good reviews and playing just as great. I think some of you are really underrating the PSP with all this DS love. Just my opinion

I'm with Devil on this. I'm well into my 3rd season with the Baltimore Ravens on the PSP, but how many folkws actually have Madden06 for the PSP.
I find the DS a craptacular system, but some of you just can't find anything wrong with it. Keep in mind I have a GBA SP (Which I think is a better hand-held than either the PSP and the DS). Lets keep in mind that most of these awesome games for the DS just recently started coming out. When the DS was released and games weren't as plentiful most found the system quite shitty as well. We gamers do so have short memories

Well, all I can say is it is getting easier and easier for me to make GT my one and only stop when it comes to forums. Same here. I have come to really not like OO much anymore because of Kobra and a couple other people over there that they, as usual, do nothing about. Hey here is a more on-topic question....if I change my gamertag from Hetz OO to lets say Hetz GT, would that completely screwup my friends list? Anyone know? I don't think it will mness up your friends list, but contact Live support just to confirm

I have to echo Devil here. I love my PSP. Being able to switch from playing a game to listening to MP3 or sitting on the freaking Throne to surf the net is just awesome.
Now that some of the better games are being released the PSP sales should be getting better. Heck, the interest I get when I am in the lounge area at my job from men and women is a testament that many people are getting interested in the PSP.

I actually found it a little offensive and insensitive, but it might be that I'm black and don't find the word Nigga being all that humerous
Ymmv, it seems I meant no offense. There's a reason I distinctly used the word "nigga" instead of "nigger," as I know/have known several black folk that had zero problem with the first and major problems with the second. And in my experience, the number that didn't have problems with "nigga" was far greater than those that did. Granted, my largest cadre of black friends and acquaintances was a few years ago and it's entirely possible there's been a wholesale shift in usage of the word. If that's the case, please let me know, as when I'm being offensive and insensitive I'd much rather be so on purpose. Yeah I wasn't sure what to make of that before I went to bed last night. I thought it veered pretty close to the first part of our Code of Conduct. Just had a look back at the first part of the CoC. Hate speech? Hate speech is far more than the words used, but entirely in the manner of their presentation. If it was strictly in their usage your own post would be in violation. By your own admission there was no malicious intent within the image posted. I can tell you right now that the intent was to create a different (and potentially humorous) way of presenting the old adage about the pot calling the kettle black. The word choice was deliberate and based entirely on the creator's (possibly dated) experience with the word not being considered inflammatory. I've got no problems with pulling the image because some find it offensive. It was something I tossed together in a couple minutes on a lark, not something I tossed together to stir up controversy. My apologies to those it offended. Honestly, I found no malice in your intent. I actually understood what you was saying. My GF actually got a chuckle out of it when I showed it to her, but the word Nigga and Nigger mean the samething really and just changing two letters at the end doesn't erase the hate that word is meant to represent. Anyway, my last response on this subject. CrayolaSmoker, I just wanted to point out that I really did understand your intent and really found no malice with it usage. The word is still hateful as far as many black people are concerned

Those numbers are a abberations believe me. Kyle, imo. doesn't have what it takes to be a serviceable NFL QB. Anthony Wright should have been our starter.
The Packers just plain sucked ass last night. Brett Farve looked horrible and played even worse.

My Ravens have played so bad that I haven't payed much attention to Football. The only good thing is that hopefully the Boller experiment is now over. If Billick insist with sticking Boller then he can follow his ass right out the door too. It was painful losing the the Steelers and Bengals this season
