Yes, only one user.  I exit and relaunch Steam several times.
3802  Non-Gaming / Hardware / Software Hell / Steam- Dragon Age Won't launch on: January 05, 2010, 12:56:34 PM
Last Night I tried to fire up Dragon Age from Steam, but the game wouldn't launch.  Message said,"Game currently unavailable.  Try again later"  First time I've encountered this with Steam in two years.  So I check the game cache and it come back files are 100% intact,  I try the de-frag options and I get an error that files are too fragmented suggest I run the windows defrag to correct.  I run defrag on both drives since I haven't defrag in awhile.   Defrag finishes and I try to launch the game again.  No go same error.  I delete the local content and re-download and the game won't download. Huh  saywhat

So I fire up the laptop and steam to see if I can download to my laptop. It's downloading fine. Ok, so now I am stumped. Dragon Age has been deleted from my gaming rig, but I can't re-downlaod.  My other steam games work fine as I checked all 22+

Anyone have any ideas?

Awesome visuals, but the story and plotline was shit.  I guess I'm in the minority as a weak story line was total distraction for me. I was rolling my eyes at some of the dialog.  Anytime, I'm rolling my eyes at the movie something is wrong

I believe the planned DLC includes the cape, cowl, batarangs, and utility belt.

Because initially, you'll run around in tights and a black-painted paper bag over your head.  ninja But still, the DLC is entirely OPTIONAL!  icon_wink

My other thought is BAA2 will consist ENTIRELY of you crawling around conveniently sized air vents and gobbling up bad guys like a muscular Pac-Man. It's only when you buy the DLC that you finally get out of the shaft...
*turns off his snarkiness switch*
Frankly, I'd rather see Bats in a new environment. I dunno where. Maybe they could have Wayne Manor infested with bad guys or something. I don't expect it to become Grand Theft Auto w/ Batman, but I wouldn't want them to see it as an "Arkham Asylum" franchise (where they had to keep setting the game there) rather than as a Batman franchise (that has some freedom to try different environs).

Actually, it looks like Gotham has become the Asylum, but I wish Joker wasn't the main bad guy in AA2.  Batman has so many great enemies to use

Space Wolves Omnibus is good

Some of the Horus Heresey books are good, but I stopped at the third or fourth book as the Black Library seemed to change the focus to covering every plotline and Chapter  story during the Uprising.

The Grey Knight series is good if you like to read about Daemons

That's good news because I hate the way they ended season 2.

I haven't had a chance to watch it but I have a feeling about what happens, especially the way SAMCRO has been almost constantly dicked over this season. thoughts on the finale:

Spoiler for Hiden:
that ATF bitch needs to die.  after being passed around gen pop in a prison, like San Quentin, with orders that she's not to be killed.  and then not before they track down every single one of her family and friends and is forced to watch them get ganked.  in a show full of despicable characters she had taken the crown.

seriously, they couldn't take 10 seconds to whack Zobelle?  a volley of bullets through the door at him?  send in Tig and have him catch up?

Spoiler for Hiden:
Agreed, they had no better chance at Zoebelle, but he was a excellent adversary for SAMCRO.  He will be back especially since Jemma killed his daughter.  Stall will gets hers.  Didn't like the ending, but I have a feeling next season will be about them in Ireland trying to get back Abel

DAMN what a fine show! I had heard all the talk. Never watched a full ep before. But after dinner today I was lazing out and caught this on. I cant stop watching even while I use the computer. I wish I could own it or watch it from the start. I have no idea how far into the show it is right here today. Im guessing nearer the end of the show because the Battle of the Bulge was starting. Easy Company took a village but man the shelling they took first was brutal. the fox hole explosion was devastating. Lordy what I have been missing frown

Yeah, greay mini series and very realistic.  If you can find the DVD set I highly recommend it.  Heard somewhere HBO is making a War in the Pacific version

So, I've begun reading Glen Cook's The Black Company, based on lots of good and positive talk about it both here and other places.

The thing is, I kinda hate it. Its written in a very very odd style of writing, that just doesnt do anything for me and it took me a while to understand what it is. Its written from a first person perspective, and basically consists of "I did this, then I did that, then he did this and we did that, and then we went there, and did that, and then did this, and then he did that, and we did this..." and so on and on and on..

There's no real narration, no descriptions of anything...It seems like something a 7th grader would write.

Anyone else felt the same way about the book, and do the others pick up, or is he still just walking around doing this and that?

Yes, it took a few chapters for me to get the book, but the more I read the more I enjoyed the book.  Doesn't help that you basically get thrown into the book without any back story.

Stick with it as it is worth the read

Cunning works if you have low strength as a Dex warrior, once you get the skill that uses it instead of Strength for weapon damage.
You mean rogue, because that's a rogue skill (Lethality, iirc).

Low strength will restrict you to being a dagger-only wielder, however.

Er...yeah, that's what I meant. Sorry - I don't use a Rogue at all in my group, and I slightly adjusted Alistair away from being a pure tank to being a dual-wield monster with a respec potion.

How do install Mods?   I haven't found a website that explains it all

On the ending:

Spoiler for Hiden:
My Dwarf Noble told Morrigan to "Fuck off" since I was in a relationship with Leiliana, but I think the real ending will follow the Morrigan ending. It will be kind of hard to pick up from my save since my character died.  Although, if Bioware wanted that to be the real ending they could have just has Morrigan shape shift into Leiliana...

I like a challenge, but not too hard.   I wanna play a class that kicks ass and doesn't die too often.   There a particular class to play that would fit that bill?

My Dwarf Noble was a DW/Massive Armor  Mage eating meat grinder.  I specced him Templar/Champion

I would say play a warrior.  Mages are pretty kick ass as well, but don't get really awesome till they have some of the late tier spells
