Minor spoiler as far as the people you can find pretty early on:
Spoiler for Hiden:
You'll gain three people after the 'intro' with the Grey Wardens - one of each of the trinity - by the time you've left the first town (assuming you find the people and talk to them - only the mage is out in the open and can't be missed).

I think I missed someone... here's who I found in the first town
Spoiler for Hiden:
The guy in the cage and the bard chick in the tavern. Who am I missing or are we talking about a different town?

No you haven't once you leave the first town you can potentially have

Spoiler for Hiden:
Sten, the Bard, Dog, Mage & Alastair
3807  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Dragon Age is looking good! on: November 05, 2009, 03:26:20 PM
Here isi what I learned so far, the game almost forces you to use the Holy Trinity..almost.  You can get away with Heal putice for awhile, but you will need a healer, tank and DPS.  I've completed both of the bonus content -Warden's Keep & Stone Golem and both I breezed through using the Trinity

oh Alistair > Sten

Thanks!  I guess it's only a problem for some starting quests?

Not certain as I only played the Dwarf Noble, so I don't know what the other Origins have to do.   Saw this fix on the  social site forums

I like both sites, but I do spend about 80% of my time here.

I have a question about the Dwarven Noble starter quest (up to the end):

Spoiler for Hiden:
After I got put in prison, I lost all my inventory items.  Any way to recover them?  It would suck if all the preorder/collector's edition bonus stuff is not recoverable

Yes, disable all DLC.

Force load a game.  Make a new save just in case.  Quit

Enable DLC

Load new save

All preorder items will be back

I ran into that bug as well
3811  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Dragon Age is looking good! on: November 04, 2009, 03:27:36 PM
Playing on normal and I had my first wipe on a Orge. Was awesome when I tried a different tactic to take him down.  Great game

Bioware social site is very cool, but can be buggy
3814  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Dragon Age Countdown on: November 04, 2009, 03:52:05 AM
There is a probable bug with the Dwarf Noble origins and DLC content.  I'll put in spoiler

Spoiler for Hiden:
Once you are arrested for killing your brother any bonus items you have will be stripped from you and you will not be able to get it back.  Supposedly, you can disable the content and re-enable to get them back.  I haven't tried this yet

The work around does work.  Might work to well as I got a item back that grants a instant level.  Don't think Bioware saw that coming

I'm actually confused about the 20 gig download number.  Is this thing shipping on multiple disks for the 360 and PC then?  I hadn't heard that.  Plus, the system requirements say that you need 20 gig HDD space.  So normally that means that the download would be compressed, right?

On the DA forums one of the Devs stated it's probably 16 or so gigs. People are rounding up to 20

Renegade Turntable is better, the fader is much tighter from reports.  Also you get a coffin for the Mixer.

I'll help if can.  Still learning myself

Fantastic game. Definitely the hardest of the rhythm games out there currently and be prepared to fail 5 stars on medium numerous times. Cross fader = the hardest technique to master as is true with the real art of djing.  This game has legs in spades and will require patience to master.

Agreed, this is my first rhythm game and I am having a ball.  Currently, I'm only playing on easy and I can barely get 3 stars on average rated toons, but I see I'm getting my legs back under me when scratching a record.  Really was in a Zone this morning when I did the Jay Z & Eminmen set.  Four star that one on my first go!

This game has its claws in me.  Been awhile since I have that one more go before I go to bed moments

oh a new music pack was released this morning

3832  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: DJ Hero Impressions on: October 28, 2009, 12:26:09 AM
Keep in mind this is my first music game, but if you like Hip Hop DJ culture then this is a no brainer.   I'm still learning some of the controls, but I'm having fun and that whats important.

Edit - I used to DJ in the late 80's and early 90's and I forgot how much your wrist can hurt from spinning records

Can you jump right in with level 1 guy or do you need to build up first WOW style?

The Game has nice progression with the starting zone, but yes if you go to an area where mobs out-level you then you will get demolished.

Also, if you hear something screeching look up

Really depends on what you want to do.  I've spec my Soldier to be basically a distance fighter.  So while I have some good close combat weapons" A revolber with two shots anda full auto shotgun I do much better with my two combat rifles from range.

DC is okay depending on where you go.  Crime happens in every major city , so DC isn't immune.   Georgetown is nice and the Government area is filled with great Muesum and the DCZoo is the best in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Unless you are local I suggest never EVER EVER EVER EVER drive in DC.  The streets are confusing as hell

Driving mechanic could be better.  The control scheme for consoles they used sucks all kind of balls.  Using the left stick forward/backwards and right stick for left/right just doesn't makes sense
