I played through the first time stream.

 eek

This is bizarre and funny and a little exhausting.

It requires a brain shift that is quite clever.  It looks like other games you have played, but it's really not like them.

My only fear is that the game's going to get too far ahead of me, and I won't finish it because getting back into it will seem a little insurmountable.

But I'm looking forward to trying.

There is certainly a puzzle element to this game that I find intriguing

People keep talking the Titanfall is a fail, but I am enjoying the hell out of it.  I'm usually the guy that bails early in MP Shooters.  Love the genre, but I not very skilled, but something about Titanfall has it's hooks into me.  I can do 1-2  drops per day and I have fun.

I hope this forces Sony to be a bit more proactive too. They can't rest on their laurels when Microsoft is willing to swallow its pride and make moves like this.

Competition is good.   i'm actually surprised this came out before E3, so I wonder what they have in store for their presentation now

Annnnd the horrible, terrible, useless shit that is Kinect is finally, mercifully, killed by its creator.

I don't think it's useless as I get plenty of value using mines, but I understand your point.  Sadly, this generation is going to look like last gen with just better graphics.  I understand why MS had to change course, but I think the better option might have been dropping the Kinect version down to 399, but that's probably meant they would have been selling them for a loss.

Anyway, it's good that MS is responding to the consumer
174  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Xbox One Discussion on: May 13, 2014, 03:03:14 PM
See what happens when your main competitor is kicking your ass.  Kinect-free version for 399.00

Hubris cost MS this round like Sony last gen.  Let's see if MS can continue to get better thumbsup

There was also a new update released but none of the changes look particularly noteworthy to me.

Looking forward to the DLC, though.  Jumping from tree to tree on the Endor map looks like a lot of fun.

Only issue I have with this patch is getting a loss for leaving a match before it's done.  I've been dropped into a Hard Point match when one team is clearly dominating and I have no desire to play through that

Dropping a Titan on a Evacuation ship being nerfed is sad too.

I think the real reason is not because you can get Netflix on your toaster these days but because a particular toaster  called the PS4 is outselling the Xbox one by a wide margin.

I'm as big a Batman fan as you can get, and I have zero interest in this. Young Jim Gordon is fine but the fact that all the villains appear as kids (with the notable exception of Joker) kills it for me. Because then you wind up with another procedural cop show, only the mob boss is Carmine Falcone and a local wealthy arms dealer has the last name Cobblepot. Oh and somehow this is all connected and a sign of Bruce Wayne's destiny.

Pass.

I guess that means Xbox will be the lead platform for Call of Duty this generation as well. This has been the topic of quite a bit of debate recently, with most people suspecting that the PS4 would get to carry the torch this time around. I wonder what kind of impact, if any, this will have.

Kind of cool that Spacey is getting into video games in some way, though I wish he would have done that in some other franchise than Call of Duty. Having said that, this trailer was actually quite nice, most of all thanks to his performance.

Actually, I found it odd the Polygon pointed this out.   I expected that the PS4 would be the lead console as well.

Typically Day One if it's a game I want to play right away, but here recently some games especially if it's on PC and on Steam I am awaiting the usual Steam sale.  I'm going all digital for the XB1..   I'll miss out on discounts, but just saying; "xbox go to Titanfall"  is just to damn convenient now

Guys, seriously. The new Spiderman game is made by Activision and is a movie tie-in. That means it's shovelware. Activision has done this several times before. They quickly develop a game with as little resources as possible and shove it out at a time when they think they'll get the most sales from naive customers.

If you love this industry, don't buy that game. You'll be sending Activision all the wrong signals.

I haven't brought a movie-tie in game in ages. I agree for the most part they are crap.
