they are talking about adding seasons, but not changing the fact that the game is easily hackable locally.  Seasons will be dominated by hackers.

Oh I agree...  Horrible idea unless they change how  the game works

I'm not a fan of exclusive content (Hello, Destiny) but according to Square Enix  Without MS support the game probably wouldn't have been made.  This sort of sound like what Sony did for Street Fighter 5 (which the XB1 will never see).  Also, I know you're not a fan of Polygon, but that's where I originally read the story

I want to circle back to Destiny, MS couldn't even promote the game on their system and Destiny was basically being shown as a Sony exclusive.   Only distinction is that MS console owners got the game at the same time with less content even after two expansion with more exclusive timed content going to Sony

Again, getting a 3rd part game as an exclusive sucks no matter which console marker does it

So I finally figured out why in house streaming was no longer working properly for me using Steam.   I forgot to disable Locations services on my Laptop.  Once I disabled my streaming was flawless again

If you're okay knowing that you will NEVER EVER get it again, then do it.

I'm not, so I keep mine and abuse it every chance I can.

I actually talked to a rep that stated I can change back in within 60 days if I don't like it.   It would have to be escalated to the Retention Team, but she assured me that it could be done.

Still debating if I want to do this or not
13  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Thinking about ditching my unlimited data plan on: August 10, 2015, 02:41:43 PM
I have a very old and no longer offered unlimited data plan with AT&T.  My plan is one of the ones where talk minutes and text messaging was the ideal way to pay for service,  Now I'm looking for ways to cut my bill as I'm currently paying 131.00 with a corporate discount.   I typically average between 2.5 and 3 gb a month.  Using AT&T tool I can potentially cut my bill down to 65 a month before taxes if I decide to go one their 3 gb a month with roll over data  and unlimited talk and text.  My issue I just can't seem to let go of my (irrational Need for my )  unlimited data plan.

Saw it Saturday and I loved it but I'm a unabashed Mission Impossible fan, so thank my opinions with a grain of salt.  I thought the movie was good not great just good.  The villain's ultimate motivation wasn't entirely clear to me but other than that I thought the movie was great.   I'm getting tired of seeing Tom Cruise and his team being disavowed , but other than that I love it.

Also, I like the new Leader of the IMF force

Upgraded my lap and I like it, but prior to my upgrade streaming from my gaming rig to my laptop using steam was great, but after the upgrade my laptop is dropping frames and the game sound is stuttering. Tried prioritizing the traffic but nothing seems to work.  Might just upgrade  my gaming rig I'm just frighten especially since win 10 control aspect of all updates and I don't want them updating video drivers until I'm ready

Conservatism I don;t have a problem with, but I do have a problem with is the " My way or the highway "conservatism or liberalism. Compromise seems to be a dirty word in our nations politics and that's a shame

Harebrained Schemes is pleased to announce their return to Kickstarter this Fall to partner with Backers in co-funding the creation of BATTLETECH. Jordan Weisman, the creator of BattleTech and MechWarrior, is back with the first turn-based BattleTech game for PC in over two decades. Steeped in the feudal political intrigue of the BattleTech universe, the game will feature an open-ended Mercenaries-style campaign that blends RPG ‘Mech and MechWarrior management with modern turn-based tactics.

though I do hope this time they make better use of the open world environment.

I'd rather they didn't focus on that. The Mafia games are so good because of their strong stories, and open world games typically struggle to tell such stories in a decent way. I don't want the Mafia 3 story to be interrupted by scavenging for collectibles or climbing radio towers (or their equivalent). I just want a focused, mature game with a strong story.

Agreed.   I'm not looking for a GTA clone.  Keep the story focused

The movie is being crushed in the reviews.  So what's on tap for you this weekend

More Elder Scrolls Online for me on the XB1..  I'm having fun with it as a single player game.   Picked up KoToR 2 since it been patched by the dev and now has steam support, so I might dip into that too

Since I like a good slasher movie (my guilty pleasure)  I decided to stream the first episode of the new MTV series.  It's definitely a YA show with all the familiar tropes.   The first episode held my attention as the show is very self aware and even has one of the guys explaining how it will go ala Randy from the movies.   If the show goes with the American Horror Story Anthology as each season a self contained story it might work.   Stretching it out with the same killer(s) across multiple season will kill this show in my opinion
40  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: What are you buying this week? (7/7) on: July 06, 2015, 01:22:41 PM
Nada...   I did acquire a copy of the Elder Scrolls Online for the XB1 for 10 bucks ( Mom and Pop shop was closing ).
