1  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Please help support free speech on the Net on: March 10, 2005, 08:17:50 PM
Actually, Hal Turner used to run a Neo-nazi radio show but I believe it was shutdown due to lack of funds.  The reason his real estate website doesn't say anything is probably because it wouldn't be real good for business...
2  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Are you military or ex-military? on: March 10, 2005, 02:49:46 AM
I'm a 19k (M1 Armor Crewman) in the MN ARNG.  I've been in the Guard since 2000 and have been deployed once to Bosnia.  Bosnia was probably the best "vacation" I've ever had and if given a chance, I would go again.
3  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / [Survey] What do you do for a living? on: February 04, 2005, 11:30:06 AM
I'm a Nursing Assistant at a local nursing home where I assist the elderly with their everyday needs.  Then one weekend a month,  I go off and play army and drive tanks.
4  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / New Patch released for RON T&P on: January 20, 2005, 07:54:18 PM
Looks like this patch is mostly balance changes.  The link is for the patch notes so go check it out.
5  Gaming / Multiplayer Madness (MMO or otherwise) / How much time do you solo vs. group in WoW? on: December 28, 2004, 11:38:51 PM
Usually when I play, I'm grouped with a buddy that I first met in Ultima Online way back in 98.   The way I look at it, if I wanted to play solo, there are plenty of good CRPGs out there.

7  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Need some opinions on Spellforce on: December 18, 2004, 11:45:36 PM
Thanks for write up Gorath.  Between your review and playing the demo, I've decided to give this one a shot.   Hopefully I'll have some time next week.
8  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Need some opinions on Spellforce on: December 16, 2004, 05:51:04 AM
Whoa... good to see a lot of responses.  Looking through them, I'm definately seeing some stuff I like such as the game length (more bang for my buck) and the coop play.   Looks like I'll be downloading the demo tonight and see if its something worth buying.  Thanks for all the opinions folks.
9  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Need some opinions on Spellforce on: December 14, 2004, 04:20:20 PM
I'm thinking about buying Spellforce: Gold Edition and I'm just wondering if its any good.  Some of the bad things I've read about it is that it has poor performance with ATI cards and that multiplayer is buggy.  Were these ever cleared up and is the game fun to play?
10  Non-Gaming / Hardware / Software Hell / Use a US Computer in the UK? on: October 30, 2004, 05:39:16 AM
I would recommend getting an power converter.  I used one for 6 months on my laptop while I was in Europe and never had a problem even though it was plugged in continuiously.  Other guys I knew did the same with their x-boxs and playstations and nothing went wrong as far as I know.   Just make sure you get a powerful enough converter otherwise you'll burn it out.

Make sure to check and see if your power supply will run 220.  You would probably just need an adaptor to convert your power cable to fit in the european style wall outlets
11  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / How are the Far Cry mods? on: October 30, 2004, 02:33:59 AM
We were doing playing a lan so it only took one cd.  Over the internet would probably require two cd-keys.
12  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / How are the Far Cry mods? on: October 28, 2004, 04:38:56 AM

There's a coop mod out.  It works pretty well.  My buddy and I played about 4 levels last night and the only bugs we noticed were a few sync issues like helicopters not being visible to anyone but the host.
