I'm seeing on twitter that this game is only 5 hours.  Is that true?

There's a Let's Play for the game, which your number is based upon, that clocks in at roughly 5 1/2 hours, I believe. The player rushes through the game without exploring anything, and almost never dies. I haven't seen it myself, but this is what I've been told. The player himself says that the game is longer than his Let's Play suggests, with reports indicating that the average length for most people should be somewhere between 8 and 15 hours.

I've heard the same thing, so it's a safe bet that the game is 8 to 12 hours for most gamers.

I love the ways they show how strong Cap is.  His powers if you don't read the comics mostly come across as "he is really fit" but this kind of shows he is a bit stronger than that.

http://youtu.be/w75cwgEjnQ4

In the comics his strength is comparable to Spider Man's and by most accounts Spider Man can lift about 10 tons.

Also there is no way the Hulk could ever lift Mjolnir because lifting it is not based on strength, it's based on worthiness. Comic book Drazzil could lift it if he was deemed worthy enough.

I was a big Fantastic 4 fan as a kid so the first 2 movies where huge letdowns for me. While I don't have high hopes for this reboot, it will have a hard time being as bad as the Rise of the Silver Surfer. That movie was just awful.

If they want to make this movie great they really need to nail Dr Doom. Take a look at Loki, they nailed that character and every scene he is in is better because of it. If they can somehow find a way to make Dr. Doom as interested as he should be then this movie has a chance. But heck I don't even know if this movie has Doom in it.

yup.  now we just need to decide if it's worth it, given what they are saying about Windows as a Service related fees ala office 365

Haven't seen anything about fees - do you have a reference link or is this an  assumption?

Sent from my One using Tapatalk

I don't think they stated it outright, but it was strongly implied if nothing else. It also fits neatly into the vision Microsoft has of becoming a company for services, not products.

They literally stated it outright.

This has the potential to be really great or really bad. It could go bad if the "free" upgrade version is a neutered version with important features missing that you now have to pay extra for. They could get carried away and make features like media server connectivity and media player monthly charges. If it's free then please give us a full release don't nickle and dime us so that it costs more in the long run. I'm not saying they are going to do that, just that I could see them doing that and if so that would suck.

Tearaway is excellent if you're in to platformers. Plus it's easy to get the platinum trophy so there's that added bonus. The Devs actually used the camera, microphone, motion sensing, and touch screen in ways that added to the gameplay rather than taking away from it.

I did pick up the Ratchet and Clank collection for Vita and I'm pleasantly surprised by the port from the PS3 version. The controls are just as tight as they are with a DS3 and the graphics don't suffer at all making it a steal at $12.
Tearaway is pretty fun, even though the controls can be a pita sometimes.  I gave up on the plat after failing the whole no-death run on the rolling ball levels.

When you get the trilogy, does it install all the games at once or is each an individual download?  That is the worst aspect of the GoW collection.

It installs all of them at once, and there is only 1 game icon, so you launch the collection, then choose from within the game which one you want to play. I think the DL is 3.3 gigs.

Being a life long OSU fan I have to say I love the College Football playoff. Under the BCS we probably would have finished #5 or 6. Under this new system OSU proved that they were the best team at the end of the year. Beating #1 Alabama and then Oregon by 22 is impressive, without the 4 turnovers it would have been even more. It's a good day to be a Buckeye.

A great way to find out how someone feels you treat them is to ask.

To the OP... it's one thing for love to wax and wane, that's normal, but if you truly feel it has never been present, then I don't think extracting yourself is the worst thing you could do.  It will obviously be hard and will have an impact on your lives and the lives of your children, but staying in a loveless marriage will also have an impact.  If you are miserable all the time, how can you possibly be the best parent you can be?  The thought of not living with my kids every day murders me, though, so I understand how hard it is to make that decision.  Good luck.

I completely agree with this. You can look at it from a mid life crisis point of view and say "you only live once". Do you really want to spend it with someone you truly don't love and have never loved? This isn't to say that I think Lee should get a divorce. BUT if he truly never loved her then I would say he deserves to go out and find love, the same goes for her. At the same time I could not handle the thought of my children living in a different home than me.

The thing I can't understand is why someone would stop loving their wife because of differing religious beliefs. If you loved them prior to the difference then you should still be able to love them after the difference.

1. Have I made you feel loved today?
2. Have I made you feel cherished today?

I really like this.  I need to be far more proactive with these in my marriage as well, as I tend to really take her for granted.  This sort of daily affirmation will be a really good place to start.

Thanks for this input ATB.   thumbsup

<cough> you left off the most important one. slywink

I don't think he did.

Leading someone else, in any aspect, is not a dynamic that works for a lot of people. Were I to ask the woman I'm dating if I'd led her on *anything*, I'm pretty sure she'd resent it.

Does your wife ask you the same questions? Is she responsible for fulfilling a different set of criteria, and how often does she "lead" in that regard?

Also ATB seems to be ignoring the fact that Lee's wife is Jehovahs Witness and he is not anymore. So him leading her spiritually is next to impossible at this point. People with differing religions are able to be in loving marriages all of the time so it seems to me Lee could do it too, he just can't have "god" as the most important thing in his relationship. In fact it really shouldn't be in it at all. A love for one's spouse has nothing to do with religious beliefs as far as I'm concerned.

Need for Speed Rivals is pretty good if you like arcade racers and I think the Game of the Year edition is on sale on the PSN for $30 through today.

It's a big open world type racer in which you can drive around and take on various driving missions as a racer or as a cop. The handling it tight and the sense of speed is really good.

So I finished it on Sunday. 80+ hours, finished on Hard mode, the game is excellent and my GOTY. I do have a nitpick about the final battle, spoilered not to talk about the story, but the mechanics of the final boss fights:

Spoiler for Hiden:
Why in the heck did the ending battle not incorporate any of the companions who weren't in your immediate party and make use of Skyhold? It seems like such a waste. As it was the final fight was a total cake walk, even on Hard mode. I would have liked to see the actual defenses in Skyhold come into play with your agents and other companions fighting as well. Instead we essentially get a standard 11th Dragon fight and one last standard boss fight. It was a real let down after the previous 80+ hours. Not Mass Effect 3 levels of letdown, but a letdown nonetheless.

To me it's about exclusives and PS4's exclusives are head and shoulders better than what XB1 is offering, to my gaming tastes anyway. Infamous, MLB The Show, and The Last of Us were all fantastic. Uncharted is coming up next year. On the other side I have no interest in Halo or Dead Rising and while I hear Sunset Overdrive was good fun, it's not a game I'd hinge my system purchasing decision on.

Spec-wise, ya the PS4 is better but I'm not sure if it's going to mean all that much two or three years into this generation's life cycle. 90% of the games I want are available on both and the ones that aren't I am more interested in the Sony versions, thus I own a PS4. Which is still strange for me to say since I was a big 360 guy and had zero interest in the PS4 last generation.

You summarized my thoughts exactly. I can't wait for some other big Sony exclusives to start hitting, Ratchet & Clank, God of War (But they better revolutionize this one, open world a la Batman would be awesome), Uncharted, and I would love a new Socom even though nothing has been announced.

how exactly does a 1 minute preview upset you? Also, I wasn't aware that previews are an American thing.

Whenever I see regular American TV productions (which isn't often, admittedly), every time they return from a commercial break there's a summary of what's going to be shown in the upcoming 5-10 minutes, just to keep the viewer interested.

There were a bunch of people who jumped into the thread to say things like "I like the previews," which for them was apparently reason enough for me to like them too. That is what truly puzzles me. Why can't we have choice in a game series that is entirely built around that concept? Am I the only one to see the irony here?

I haven't really seen the preview at each commercial thing on American TV so I'm not sure what you mean by that. A lot of serialized shows will show a preview at the end, but it's usually 20-30 seconds long and shown during the credits. So again it's usually not a big deal.

As for the irony thing, I wasn't trying to change your mind, but this is a video game discussion board, so I was trying to discuss why previews would bother someone enough to actually complain about them. I could see if they were Metal Gear Solid style 20 minute unskippable videos but in TellTale's case they are usually pretty short.

I will admit that one weird thing that bothers me about TellTale games (And any other dev that does this) is when they have a list of the developer's pets in the end credits. That shit drives me nuts. The credits are long enough as it is without adding in a list of 200 pets who really had nothing to do with the game.

Finished the first episode today, and it was very enjoyable. I kind of saw the ending coming (not the details, but the gist of it), but it was still effective.

I just wish Telltale would stop with their fucking mandatory previews at the end of every episode. It's like they're doing their hardest to piss off non-American players who aren't used to (and don't want) that kind of thing. They're essentially telling us that they're so desperate to show us an ad at the end of the episode we paid for that we're not allowed to skip it in any way. They even put it before your final results and the credits, which means jumping back to the menu isn't an option either. I end up turning off the sound and leaving the room until it's safe to come back, and no game should ever force me to do shit like that. I've complained to them about this before, but they ignore feedback on this issue. Every single time I play one of their games, I enjoy it up until the moment the preview comes up, which results in me feeling mildly angry by the time I turn the game off. That's not something they should encourage.

I don't get this complaint at all. Other than the fact that you don't like previews, how exactly does a 1 minute preview upset you? Also, I wasn't aware that previews are an American thing. Personally I enjoy them.

But come on this is Game of Thrones we should know that everyone is susceptible to a quick death.

The choices you are presented with really do seem huge at the time you are making them. I will no doubt go back and play it with opposite choices.

I can't say that I'm a fan of the graphics style they use with this game though. It seems like they are going for a look that makes the gamelook like a moving painting, but everything in the background is way to blurry for my tastes. It's not going to ruin the game for me, but I wish they would tone the blurriness down a bit.

Also, on the PS4 I didn't notice any of the audio issues Ron talked about in his review. So your mileage may vary on that complaint.

I think Mark Hammil's mind and voice in Jared Leto's body would be perfect and blow Ledger out of the water. Assuming the script was decent.

Many movie critics would disagree strongly that that was the biggest reason for the almost universal praise he received for that role.

And I would agree with them.

That sentence confuses me, that that happened is not surprising.

But... a new gay character will be introduced soon.  Is there any relevance to the character being gay?  Not really but who cares!  Every show needs a token gay guy!!!

What if it isn't a guy?!?

Despite her recent fondness for Eugene, I thought Fistbump Notcop was gay.

Also, they do have a priest...

Isn't the Woodberry chick gay? (Sorry I have no idea what her name is, as she is now the least interesting character on the show).

Microsoft was really smart about decoupling the Kinect from the Xbox One and pricing aggressively over the Holidays. I wouldn't be surprised if they caught up to Sony over the course of the Holiday season.

I don't know if they'll catch up in terms of life time sales, BUT maybe it will be enough for Microsoft to finally release the actual sold amount instead of the shipped to retailer amount.

All in all though you have to hand it to Microsoft for listening to gamers and righting the ship.

Ran into a small bug last night.  I was turning in a requisition and saw the quest market pop over the officer, but when I talked to them, all I got was the VO, not the dialog wheel.  I went to another quest person, got the same result.  Thankfully, it worked after a game restart, so I didn't lose much time.

This has happened to me several times with the PS4 version. I just saved and then loaded the save and it fixed the issue. Still it's a bug that should be fixed.
