This is a sign you're getting your butt kicked Buy and Xbox One and get a game free Game value has to be 59.99 or less and disc based.  This includes bundles.  US only and select retailers from 9/7 - 9/13

Another sign is the fact that they still haven't released actual sales figures. When Sony does it any chance they get.

I would also like to see sales figures by country. Assuming that the Bone has sold 6 millions consoles, how many of those are in the US? Is this a case where the console will do well in the US because of brand loyalty but fail miserably in all other significant markets?

Either way 6 million consoles in less than a year is nothing to laugh at and even if the Bone "loses" this generation it will still be a major player.

I'm not usually one to complain about PS+, but this is easily the worst month since the launch of the instant games collection.  Only one retail game (and it's two years old), a game most people won't even be able to play (Sportsfriends), a port of a game most people probably already have (Joe Danger) and two decent-looking indie games.  Velocity 2X looks good, but apart from that, it's a wash.

Agreed on all fronts.

You should get FIFA on ps4 YK.  I doubt any of your Xbone friends will have it, and at least one of your PS4 friends will smile (I need to add you first of course)

Madden is getting better reviews this year.  If I didn't have so much to play already I'd get it.  I'm considering D3 though instead.

I'll be getting Fifa 15 for the PS4 as well, so make that two, and add me to your friends if you haven't already, its scraper on the PSN.

Also, the Infamous DLC comes out this week, so I'll be getting that.

I'll add you as soon as I unpack my ps4.' We packed up the big tv, recover, wii and ps4 last night to move to the new house.

Looking forward to some soccer with you this fall, and YK.

Just a warning, I'm not very good at fifa online, but I do like playing multiplayer with my friends. But every time I go online and play some random dude I get smoked.

And done at 51.5hrs. Pretty decent final boss battle too. Although wish there was a bit more to the ending.

I do have to say they did a fantastic job on the final area. The artists seemed to have spent considerable care designing it and there's some really fantastic vistas to behold. Problem was I was kinda pooped with the game by the time I got there so didn't explore as much as I probably should have.

So overall this is a very solid Risen title. I probably enjoyed it as much as I did the original and its far better than the sequel. They really improved on a lot of the complaints from R2 although there's still plenty of room for improvement. Hoping R4 uses a new engine and they add some new tricks to the series.

The rumor is that their next game is going to be a proper Gothic game, since they got the rights back to the franchise. So it should be good.

You should ask him. smile

Nah, at this point I haven't formally declared that I'm out, so it's kind of a weird situation. Most of my family never was JW, so they're thrilled. My mom is, and she had a conniption fit when I told her. However, since I'm not officially out, she's still talking to me. I know she'll stop once I quit.

My wife is still a JW, and while she's horribly disappointed, she's still being as supportive as she can. I'm not sure if she's questioning things or not... she called me "birthday boy" today, which was weird.

Ouch, I didn't know your wife was still in JW. That could make things difficult for the marriage.

I would encourage you to read some of the stories of people who left Scientology. What they go through in leaving the church is probably 10x worse than JWs, but they use very similar tactics to keep you in the church. Reading the stories of those people may help you avoid some of the pitfalls they went through to get to a better place in life.

I'm a long time fan of the Gothic/Risen series, so I will definitely be picking this one up. BUT I am a little bummed that they stuck with the Pirate theme, I thought they were moving back to the Medieval theme for this one which I liked a lot better. Sat down before gametime, seats were already in the shade. Perfect weather, as it was warm with the occasional breeze off the river. I had a bratwurst before the game, which was decent. Later on, I bought a Skyline coney. Whatever it is you people in Ohio are trying to pass off as chili is disgusting. That was the worst-tasting attempt at a chili dog I have ever had the misfortune to pay for.

And I don't do mustard or onions.

Tell you what, Scraper.  If you want to send me a can of Skyline, I will sample it again, under whatever preparation instructions you determine, and report back.  I will even defer your costs.

Did you do the typical out of towner ordering and just order a bowl of Chili, because that's the wrong way to do it? The "Chili" is really just a meat sauce, it's not what everyone else would call chili. A fresh Coney with the chili sauce, onions, mustard and a pile of shredded cheese on top is the way to go. It won't work out of the store bought cans either, it has to be at an actual skyline.

Also, the 5 way is awesome too, that works a little bit better out of a can, but in the restaurant is always better. Spaghetti, Chili sauce, onions, beans, a pile of shredded cheese, and none of this half assed cheese sprinkling, I mean a colon blocking pile of cheese.

My favorite way to have a hot dog, and to please YK there is absolutely no Ketchup on them. Mustard and Onions, with the chili sauce and cheese is the way to go. Sometimes I add hot sauce on top, but not always.

The real reason for the ostracizing is to control people and keep them in fear of leaving the church, but do they give you another "feel good" reason to do it?

Yeah, just like the government forced all those defense industry firms to create those weapons like the M-1, F-15, F-16, F/A-18.  Companies live and die for fat government contracts.  The idea that there's any forcing going on in product creation is ludicrous, especially when the government protects their ensuing monopolies.

There's a massive difference between the government awarding a contract for goods and the government forcing a company to do something simply because its the humanitarian thing to do. Option 2 is what was floated earlier in the thread.

I agree with Isgrimnur.  This is what governments are for.  When it isn't profitable for companies to do it.

That's pretty much economics 101, but there has to be a public demand for it. The way it works in this country though, is the demand is only when there when is a current event where the press reminds the public. As soon as the press stops covering it we go back to no one caring again. That said, today the WHO pledged $100M to fight this disease.

The US government forcing drug companies to research, create, and then mass produce a drug would be the beginning of the end of pharmaceutical advancement. Like it or not the free market is the best economic system to advance medical technology. It sucks but it's the truth.

Also, I'm not too worried about Ebola in its current form for all of the reasons pointed out above, but I do hope the African Countries are some how able to contain it and stop the spread within their borders.

PS4

Fez (PS4, PS3, PS Vita)

PS3

Proteus (PS3, PS Vita)

Vita
Metrico
Dragon's Crown (PS Vita, PS3)

I'm not sure about the cross-buy status of these games, but this is what they posted.  Fez and Proteus are cross-buy when you buy it but Dragon's Crown isn't.

I thought for sure that August would be the month that we saw AA to AAA PS4 title coming to Plus. Guess I was wrong. My money is on Thief eventually landing on PS+ for the PS4.

Anyhow...I'm wondering if anyone who's completed this could let me know if it's possible to take the quests for all 3 factions in Harbortown? So far I've only been taking the quest of the group that follows the Don, but I've encountered a number offered by the Order. I'm planning on joining the Don's alliance and taking a more Rogue-like path, mostly because I almost always play casters in RPG's.  I'd like to take the other quests for experience, but I don't want to jeopardize the chances of my PC joining the Don's alliance.

Yes you can do all of them, up until the point where they give you the obvious dialogue choice to join their faction.  This XP system is a staple of the Gothic/Risen series.

I'm going between Infamous and Wolfenstein right now. Both are good games. Infamous I platinum-ed and Wolfenstein is such a well built single player shooter.

I've probably put the most time into The Show 14 though, my Road to the Show character is currently in his 3rd full season.

Goat is probably Watch Dogs. I'm playing through that right now, but it's not really grabbing me, I don't like the forced stealth and the side activities feel flat. I do like the scale of the city though and I don't have a problem with the driving aspects. I'll probably burn through the main mission then never look back, unlike other open world games.
