I'd really like to find something on either PSP or DS that I could sink some time into, but nothing is really jumping out at me...

which reminds me, i'm still working my way thru disgaea 2:

much better than i'd heard (not as good as the original, granted, but most other video games aren't either smile ) - pretty damn funny (petitioning/bribing the dark assembly has to be experienced to be appreciated), & i'd say a bit harder than the first one...

This reminds me that I need to buy Disgaea 3. Still haven't played that one.

The most important question I have - where do I download the LoL client? I went to the website, looked all around, signed in, still couldn't find the client DL. Am I missing something? Also, the reviews for LoL stated that much of the paid for content wasn't enabled back in November - at release. Has this been fixed?

Second question - can I DL HoN and try it before purchase? No subs, right? I'll be glad to try both and give it a shot - but frankly, I've heard things about the HoN community being VERY cutthroat and mean to Newbs and I wasn't turned on by that sort of, IMHO, immature behavior. A look at the LoL forums shows that this exists here too - but from my limited experience in Beta, I didn't see too much in the way of immaturity.

Bael

You have to create an account first right here. Some of the content has been added, like the store for the game. But there are still only two maps to play on, which really sucks. They also have a ton of stuff to add in yet which should make the game better.

That list gets a lot smaller once you take out the non exclusives and multiple iterations of the very same sports game! I even gave them the benefit of the doubt when it came to games that I've never even heard of that they probably are Wii exclusive. All that's left is quirky motion control games and first party Nintendo games that really don't do it for me unfortunately.
Now I suppose that still isn't a bad list and you can't very well say that there are no games available for it but I would like to see it compared to similar lists of PS3 and 360 consoles. (only they get to keep their non-exclusives because technically if motion control isn't the main point of the game then they're guaranteed to be superior anyways.

To me the 360 is the biggest offender here. Take out the games that are available on the PC or PS3 and you are literally left with Halo 3 and Gears 2.

Anyway, played the demo and it was alright; it seemed incredibly easy, though, which I guess 9 times out of 10 RPGs are fairly easy in the beginning. But they have an automatic battle option and I used that the whole time. The game looks pretty good... but the FMV sequences are done in a smaller box and not widescreen.

I played this on the DS and it was way, way, way, way easy.  Unless they modified it a lot you will be able to shut your eyes and just hit buttons and win every fight.

So, where does the demo end? I went into the White Dragon's cave and eventually got tired of fighting pretty much the same Sasquatch / five Slimes over and over and over with everyone on auto-pilot. Does it end somewhere in the cave or are there other places to visit?

It ends in the cave, you could run through the entire thing in less than 5 mins.

I talked to the dragon and he told me something about a trial... I walked around, couldn't find anything else in the cave. What am I missing?!

You should take an immediate left after you leave the Dragon's room. So exit Dragon Room, then go to your left and the diamond isn't far from there.

Ouch. Then I'm definitely out. Unless someone posts about how the story simply cannot be missed, my desire dropped to -1. There have been several RPGs that I've played where I would be cruising the Internet while simply hitting the auto-combat button throughout most of the game. In Suikoden 3, for example, I invested about 40 hours into the game but only looked at the screen for about 10 hours of that time. Why even bother having combat?

The DS version was way easy, but this isn't the DS version so I'm hoping that the combat does get more challenging. The Demo is certainly easy, but most opening levels in RPGs are, I just hope the difficulty ramps up at some point.

Don't buy the PSP Go. Trust me. Get the older model for cheaper and then if you do buy a PSP especially for this game, you'll at least be able to buy used games (and new ones) for far cheaper than what Sony offers for them via their store.

That said - you should be able to find all new games digitally now. The older catalog, not as much (and as I said, usually for far more than what they're going for at stores).

This has me concerned. I got a Wii for Christmas based on the fact that I could get Wii Fit for it. In fact, my sister's original idea was to get me Wii Fit while my brother got me the Wii, but Wii Fit was sold out everywhere, even Wii Fit Plus. Still to this day, I look up Wii Fit Plus online and everywhere is sold out. So, I hope they're not stopping production of Wii Fit as a whole.

Of course they stopped making Wii Fit. Wii Fit Plus has everything in Wii Fit plus more, so it only makes sense. Also I bought Wii Fit Plus 2 weeks ago from Amazon no problem. I've also seen it in several stores since then, so I wouldn't worry about it.

After playing through the demo my excitement for this game went up. It's a definite buy for me now. It isn't simply a retread, instead they have an entirely new game engine updated for the PSP and if the demo is any indication a ton of the story is played out through short cut scenes. The game actually looks and plays a lot like Crimson Gem Saga, which is a good thing for me.
