I'm truly curious if the Romney bounce has changed you all's opinion regarding. Romney's chances, not because I need encouragement (definitely not the case, at this moment at least), purely because I'm interested to know of the polls you all put so much value in have changed your thinking at all. It looks like Romney is up in Ohio now in many polls and many other swing states as well.
What say you?
It changed my mind in that I thought Obama could use the first debate to bury Romney and end the entire election. But now it has shifted it to a case where they will be neck and neck up until the day of the vote. This of course could all change in the next 3 weeks. Is it too late to hope for a Ron Paul Republican nomination?

FYI this is down to $179 new at Best Buy. I finally pulled the trigger on it since one of my smaller tvs just went out. I figure for $179 the tv alone is worth it, not to mention that I actually want Motor Storm and it's a no brainer.

i was sooooooo bummed about this - i had been playing and LOVING this game over the last few months or so (my first MMO!) - just yesterday they altered the EULA with terms i found onerous - so im out the real kick in the face was the distinct UK EULA that DID NOT include some of the more intrusive and obtrusive conditions - i WISH the us were more respectful of the consumer / user when it comes to digital rights so long story short - im out - which is a bummer have fun on the plains for me! You actually read the EULA? What exactly changed that makes you want to give up on the game?

There's nothing I hate more than the over use of quick time events, especially when they involve super human button tapping requirements. RE 4 and 5 used them but didn't over do it, but it sounds like 6 is far worse with their use.

2 was okay. 3 was better and had better scares. Slip your wife an Adderall before the movies. This. 2 is worth seeing, but 3 was really good, IMO. You need to see 2, though, since there is a mythology going on. To me, it's impressive that they have been able to take the mere hints of back story in the first one and really flesh it out. I can't keep part 1 and 2 straight. Which one is the one with the pool and the little boy?

I don't catch many NFL games because I'm primarily focused on the CFL.
This is the first time the above sentence as been uttered in the history of mankind. He probably watches WNBA too More likely he's Canadian. I bet lots of Canadians utter those words. There are lots of Canadians?

This is the first season that I have watched this show, so I jumped in cold at season 5. Some thoughts:
1. I find it weird that they are bad ass bikers but have nice well kept houses instead of messy shacks and trailers.
2. Ron Pearlman as usual is awesome.
3. These guys have more issues than Bo and Hope on Days of Our Lives.
4. It's nice to see cussing and sex scenes on regular cable.
5. I can't wait to see Chuck Zito rip someone's head off.
6. Last but not least, where the hell did the kids go when all the grown ups ran to the whore house?

Lol Autistic. Guess we will see. You shouldn't claim to know where I get my information though.
Definitely not Maddow, Olberman and those bafoons that is for sure.
I don't know that anyone would claim to know where you get your "information". I don't know Eco Logic but I'm going to guess he lives in a red state that isolates itself from moderate political discussions. It's probably right wing all the time, thus his view that the polls are somehow different. This is just a guess though since he hasn't offered up anything to back up his poll stance. I'm honestly interested to know if there are valid poll numbers showing Romney hanging in at a tie or even having a lead. When Fox News starts posting articles about how Obama is pulling ahead in swing states you know Romney is in trouble.

I'm pretty sure your baby is just as ugly as you are.
This reminds me of the ugly baby episode of Seinfeld when no one would tell the couple that their baby was ugly until Kramer finally saw it and almost fell over. Great episode. Oh and congrats Lee.

I'm waiting for the 7s to come out, my 460s in SLi still do a good enough job to run everything Ive thrown at them at higher settings. I have a feeling once the next gen consoles launch we will see the PC Ports really demanding new video cards. That new Unreal Engine will need a 6, but I figure if I wait for the 7 I will be in much better shape.

I finally picked this up. Still $199.99 at Best Buy, they had 7 or 8 in stock. If you're lucky enough sometimes they have "open box" versions for $149.99.
Everything from the box to the monitor itself this thing looks awesome! It works fine for 2D, and 3D is a nice bonus. I didn't notice much of a glare at all. So far have tried SOCOM 3 in 3D, which was fun but not sure it's something I'd use all the time.
Haven't had the chance to try a 3D movie yet.
According to the box you can use it as a computer monitor as well. Haven't tested that either as my ancient computer lacks an HDMI port.
Over all it was worth $200, IMO.
I would love to hear how it looks as a comp monitor because I really need a new one and that's a great price for everything you get with it.

There is the Gamecube version which is a better looking directors cut. As it stands I would think they would need to do a real texture overhaul to make the game look decent compared to other HD collections. I'm thinking an upgrade like Ocarina of Time got on the 3DS.

It seems like Dish has their feet firmly planted on this one. I doubt they'll change their mind anytime soon.
Yeah, I actually logged into my Dish account yesterday and opened up a chat box with a customer service Rep. I should have copied and pasted it to save it. But it went something like this: Dish Rep - "Sir we are the good guys, we are saving you money, AMC is trying to rip you off, they have commercials in their movies and all of their programming can be found online". My response - "That's not a good excuse, I don't care about commercials, I care about watching Breaking Bad, Hell on Wheals, and the Walking Dead, and my internet connection is so slow that it's not practical for me to watch them online. If you don't offer AMC then I will have to go back to Directv." Shortly after that the customer service rep just disconnected from the chat. He didn't even say goodbye or ask if there was anything else he could help me with. I have a feeling they are going to get brutalized over this one. I live in the country, I literally have only two options for cable programming, Dish or Directv. Everyone in my position should be pissed at Dish.

Clint's act played well to the house, but it didn't go over so well on TV. Not his best performance.
I like Eastwood so much he could have a stroke and I would still listen intently to everything he has to say. Also, does anyone else laugh anytime Repulicans rail against liberal Hollywood? It seems like every year they do their best to bring out conservative celebrities and then don't see the hypocrisy when they cry about George Clooney or Suzan Serandon.

During tonight's climax of the Republican National Convention, Clint Eastwood took the primetime spotlight so he could snark at an imaginary, foul-mouthed Barack Obama that he should have checked Russian history before going to war in Afghanistan. The audience laughed and applauded their approval. Conservatives are awesome!-Autistic Angel Actually I took that as more of a jab against GW, and found it funny that all of GW's supporters laughed and didn't get that the jab was directed at them.

Ohhh zinger
Plenty successful (around $50m under management for what its worth) just stating my opinion. If steps are not taken to decrease the debt problem in our country we will not be far behind Europe. That is basic math and if you don't get it I can't help you.
And this is my main problem with Romney, his plan (If you can call it that since he isn't offering specifics) calls for three things at this time. Reduce taxes, reduce spending on social programs, INCREASE spending on defense. This plan is exactly like our previous Republican president and look how that turned out. Let me know when a Repulican is serious about cutting spending and not just towing the party line and I will vote for them. In short I don't think Romney is really conservative, at least not in a pre-Nixon kind of way.

Anyone still interested in joining a guild is welcome to join House of Thunderbottom Ale ( www.thunderbottomale.com ) on the Ehmry Bay Server. Just send me an in game tell Hanton.1307 Even if you don't like grouping up I find that our Mumble server is awesome because all you have to do is ask a question and chances are someone in the guild will be able to answer it really quickly. So if you can't find that last point of interest or need some crafting advice it's right there.

Switched to DirecTV.... Fuck Dish, not missing this.... Icing on the cake too I got a free season of NFL Sunday Ticket.
I'm locked into Dish for another year, and I am going to raise holy hell if they don't have AMC back by October. I suspect they will catch a ton of shit for it. Breaking Bad and Hell on Wheals is bad enough, wait till the outrage over not having the #1 cable show on TV.

I think Exploration is actually one of GW2s strong points. Unlike most MMOs if you see something in the game chances are you can somehow climb to the top of it. All of the buildings have things attached to them that let you climb them, hills and mountains all have some sneaky way to get to the top. Most MMOs that I have played allow you to jump, but they will place invisible walls that prevent you from jumping on things. In GW2 if you can jump high enough or far enough then you can land on something, there is no invisible wall.
Highlighting this are all of the scenic view points sprinkled throughout each level. Go ahead and find all of them in the starter area and then tell me if you think the exploration is lacking.

It may be the savior of mmo's until people get tired of it and move on, just like everything else. That being said, for me it's just about the perfect game. The pvp and combat mechanic is fun, the stupid little mini games like keg brawl are addictingly fun, the classes are well thought out, the game rewards explorer-types, you get experience for just about anything you do, the world is extremely expansive, the personal stories are actually good, the crafting is rewarding, and there is no monthly fee. Pretty much hits every note for me.
The one thing that has me worried is the end game content. Compared to other MMOs this one doesn't seem that complex in terms of importance of character build and strategy. For the most part the best strategy seems to be throw as much damage at it as you can. So I'm wondering how much long term appeal there will be. With that said my highest lvl guy is only 19, so I have no idea what the upper levels are like, I'm just speculating.

I logged in immediately, and someone had already taken my name. I'm more than a little irritated. Strange. USMC Kato, Kato, Katos are all taken I had the same issue with a few of my names, and then it hit that perhaps its the linking of Guild Wars 1 accounts, that is the reason for this? My characters name is often Khargol, and its the one I used on GW1, but it was taken, which is a first for me - Would this be the reason you think? Other than that - What a gloriously great game! The biggest problem is that once a name is taken on any server, it is taken for them all. Bad idea IMO, but that's why names are not available. I got all of mine in because I logged on as soon as the game went live and reserved them.

My nice and nephew met a cast member (spoiler?) over the summer. He's living in their neighborhood south of Atlanta (same place that 'Shane' was living in last year). He bought some Lemonade from my Nephew (he was running a stand) and posed for pictures. My nephew gave him the bunny ears behind his head for the picture...kids got balls! He was super cool according to my sister.
That is awesome. But how did he grow the hand back?
