That's got to be a joke. The Human Torch is one thing, but casting Batman as African American would put the fanbois into a tornado sized shit storm.

Yours isn't that far off mine. Here's how I would rank them:

-Marvel's The Avengers
-Iron Man
-Iron Man 3
-Thor
-Thor: The Dark World
- Captain America: The First Avenger
- Norton Hulk
-Iron Man 2

Although I've only seen Thor: The Dark World once so that one may move up or down depending on subsequent viewings. Too me the real stinker out of the bunch is Iron Man 2. Cap 1 was ok, but I felt like the first hour was slow and then the final showdown with Red Skull in the plane was a real letdown.

Blackjack I'm curious what rank you would give all the Marvel U films. Ironman 1-3, Cap, Thor 1-2, Avengers, Norton Hulk (I didn't miss any did I?). 1 being the best.

Anyone know which party's judges went in favor of this?

Predictably it was the conservative judges. They routinely rule in favor of big business. That's dumbing it down a bit, but essentially that's what they do.

I'm the opposite, I hate the group movie watching experience. The one exception has been the Hobbit movies in 48fps 3D. Man do those movies look amazing when watched on the proper screen. Even then it has nothing to do with the group experience, if I could I would watch it in the theater all by myself.

Not sure who else is still watching, but is it me or has the show finally hit its stride for the past 3 episodes or so?

To me it has, and even the directing had gotten better, with snappier cuts and dialog, well only a bit more.

I fully understand why many people stopped watching, and are skeptical though, it's been a slog. However, things are ramping up, and I guess the whole Captain America movie coming out this week forced an upping of the stakes.

I wonder if the TV cast will make cameos in the movie.

I haven't watched this week's episode yet, but it does seem to be getting its groove.  Plus Amy Acker is going to be on soon.

This weeks episode is probably the best one to date. The cast is finally starting to settle in and the story line really came together. Having Bill Paxton as a featured actor doesn't hurt either.

Spoiler for Hiden:
How cool was it when you saw Deathlock with the infrared, he looked just like the comic book version.

If I have a book in Prime, it means that the ebook can only be sold on Amazon. I can get as many as several hundred borrows a month on Amazon and I actually see more, in royalties, than I do from a sale.

Nice I guess I will just borrow it when I'm done with part 1.

I think we were supposed to draw the connection between their storm-trooper herding trap and Rick's bunny trap earlier in the episode.  Given that, it's plausible that Rick deliberately gambled that they would be led to his friends.

There was a fairly abrupt cut between the scene where they were scoping things out and when they all just jump over the fence, so I'm guessing they had some sort of contingency worked out before leaping in.  Certainly they had time to think things through a little better than what was shown on screen (Rick burying the extra weapons).

Also side question, did they show a bunch of baby formula on the ground somewhere, and if so, where was that?  Were we to assume/guess Judith and gang are already there as well?

So what you're saying is that Rick is Jedi Luke and Terminus is Jabba's palace? It's a good theory. My guess is that Rick and Co have some weapons hidden on them somewhere.

Ok I have finished both the good and evil play throughs. I know one of the big complaints about the game is that evil or good doesn't change the game all that much, but I disagree when you are talking about the storyline. This may be especially true if they make part 4 follow the decisions you make in part 3.

Spoiler to discuss both endings:

Spoiler for Hiden:
The endings couldn't be anymore different. Good guy Deslin returns to the Tribe as a hero and saves everyone. Bad Guy Deslin really takes a turn to true super villain when he kills the tribe. I honestly didn't see that coming. I thought he would slink off and just start terrorizing the rest of the DUPs, but when he jumps up to do the power bomb on the hall and he smirks at the camera you know he has lost every speck of good he had in him.

As for gameplay, yeah your choices don't change much, but I do think the TV power was a hell of a lot better playing as evil. Especially if you power the invisibility and power blades sets up all the way. The he becomes over powered even on Expert difficulty.

Is there an easy way to look up books that can be borrowed for free with Prime? It seems almost impossible to find books that I want to read that are free with the membership. It seems like Amazon should have a link to every book that is included but I can;t find it anywhere.

Also I primarily use my computer or my Android to buy books on Amazon, and for whatever reason when I use those devices I cannot find a spot to look at just the books that can be borrowed.

I beat the game over the weekend as a good guy. Now I restarted on Expert as a bad guy. This second go around is definitely much faster and the expert mode really isn't all that hard. With about 4 hours in my second play through I've already unlocked the third power set. The Platinum shouldn't take me that much longer to get, assuming I keep skipping all the optional content.

Much as I like the show they have so many story threads it seems like more get diminished and forgotten. Malcom Merlin pops back alive with the secret father link but then poof he's gone. The city politician that's running for mayor who moonlights looking like scarecrow(don't know if that's who he's actually supposed to be) while working with Slade but he's disappeared too. Also they kinda wasted Summer Glau as a guest by having her just bat a few eyelashes and trade some barbs with Oliver. The writers could do a better job planning the story out and not leave so many dangling plotlines.

I agree that they have a ton of side stories going on, but my guess is that both Merlin and Summer Glau are build up for season 3. My best guess is that Glau is somehow tied in with the League of Assassins, which would also tie in with Merlin and will create the ongoing story for season 3. Remember we still haven't seen how Sarah becomes the Canary. We know she was trained by the league though.

As for Brother Blood, I was also wondering if Slade killed him off screen or not because he hasn't been on the show for a while. Also this is what Wikipedia has to say about the comic book version of Brother Blood
Quote
The first Brother Blood encountered by the Titans was the eighth to bear the title. Seven hundred years earlier, a priest in the fictional nation of Zandia named Brother Sebastian killed another priest to gain possession of what he believed to be Christ's prayer shawl. The shawl gave him invulnerability and reduced his aging, but the priest he killed cursed him to be slain by his son before his hundredth birthday. Upon doing so, his son became the second Brother Blood. He, in turn was killed by his son, and this continued for seven centuries

I found a parking lot on the west side of town near the water where there were 10 or so cars parked next to each other. The trick is to hit all 5 within 5 seconds. It was easy there. Just jump in the middle and do a slam.

I can see where doing the side mission stuff would get repetitive - it's the same problem that plagued AC4. However, that's a little bit self-inflicted. Last night I decided to just stop the side stuff hamster wheel and hit the main missions again, and that broke the monotony. It's still really fun though. Unlike Assassin's Creed, I always feel in danger when entering combat.

I usually spend about half my play time collecting side stuff and the last half doing story missions. It's a good mix for me. But then again I obsessed over all the collectibles in ACIV as well, so this is my type of game to begin with.

Exactly! smile

I was not expecting it to be the second coming....just a fun superhero type game that looks awesome. I loved the other games in the series (and so did my wife), so I am perfectly fine with it being similar to the others. What exactly were some reviewers expecting?

It's the same with Titanfall, which unfortunately seems to be what everyone is comparing it to, even though they are completely different. I went into TitanFall expecting a fun multiplayer shooter and I got that. I understand that MS wants people to think it is the second coming, but I wasn't expecting it to be, and I had fun.

Overall, I think people just need to stress less over reviews. They are just opinions and everyone just has to learn to relax and enjoy the games. smile

This same thing happened With Batman Arkham Origins. Reviewers universally bashed the fact that it didn't do a whole lot new. So I went into the game thinking I wasn't going to enjoy it very much. But guess what? I loved Batman 1 and 2, and I loved Origins just as much, if not more (Mostly because I really liked the Joker vs. Batman Origin story). So the fact that InFamous 3 doesn't deviate too far from the previous games is just fine with me. Especially since I loved both InFamous 1 and 2.

Are you playing with the unlocked sphere grids so you can experiment more with your character builds, or do you fall into the camp of people who believe that just removes the safeguards preventing you from hobbling your party?

-Autistic Angel

I went with the standard grid.  Partly because I didn't want to accidentally gimp my characters, and partly because the unique roles each character plays is a big part of the story.  Messing with that and making Yuna a melee fighter or Kimahri a healer would just mess with the core of the game, IMHO.

This is exactly why I went with Standard.  I think I had started to play this on PS2 but got rid of my PS2 and didn't play very much of it back at the time.  However, I have no memory of the beginning of this game...for some reason I remember it starting on a beach or something and it starts in a city.  At any rate, anxious to play both of these HD remakes to play these two games I never played.  So far, they look good on Vita.

I'm in the same boat. I started X on the PS2 back in the day but never got past the two hour mark, even though this type of Final Fantasy is my favorite. It seems like a mix between the PS1 era and XII and XIII. So I picked it up on the Vita, this time I vow to finish it. X-2 I'm not so sure about, but I will definitely finish X.

I picked this up for the Vita as a digital download from amazon for $15. So far the game has surpassed my expectations. Since it is a 3DS and Vita duel release I assumed the graphics would be bad, but they really aren't. The game looks like it was originally designed for the Vita and it appears to use the Unreal Engine.

The game play is a mix of the Arkham games and Metroidvania. It's a 2D platformer, but almost all of the controls are identical to the console versions and the fighting system is exactly the same. At the same time it has the same 2D exploration system found in the Metroidvania games. It even has a separate story line from the Origin games on the consoles.

The only downside to the game is that there isn't a leveling system. There are tons of unlocks to find and new weapons to find, but no leveling up.

It's easily worth the $15 I paid on Amazon.
