A digital only model will not work in the US at this point or anytime in the next 3 years. The reason is simple, there is a large percentage of the US population that don't have access to internet service that is fast enough to make the download option more appealing than the disc based option. Until high speed internet is widely available to most of the population this will not change.
Heck I still don't have a Netflix subscription because I have no way of streaming the service at a fast enough rate.
The one exception for me is Steam. I can put up with Downloading a 20 gig game at 120k per second when the game is 75% off.
She fought to steady her hand as she lowered the blade. It almost dipped to the ground, but she refused to drop it. It was hers; she had purchased it, practiced with it, bloodied it, and eventually killed with it. They had a history, Kate and this sword, and no man in a green suit was going to separate her from it.
Another joined him and pointed a gun at her. He spoke, but she had trouble processing the words. Of course she wasn't bitten; of course she wasn't one of them. The words came out in a jumble, slurred and bereft of conviction.
“Have you been bitten?” the other man screamed as he chambered a round. Why do they always do that? she wondered in some vague region of her mind that was still lucid. Why do they always chamber a round to emphasize a question? It was enough to point a gun at someone’s head; you didn't have to be a dick about it.
She tried to reason, to tell him everything was okay, but those words didn't come out. Instead, she said the only thing that she wanted to be remembered for.

How come no one is talking about mental health and the steady decline in the numbers of folks institutionalized who actually should be institutionalized. This kid is one of them.....
I just spent a good ten minutes trying to find a source for your assertion and failed. Can you please link us to evidence of the medical diagnosis you're talking about?
I don't know about on a national level, but locally for me it has declined significantly. There used to be several "homes" that while not technically insane asylums, did act as institutions where people could live who had mental health problems. Now all of those homes are gone, due to a cut in funding. And all we have left are Mental health facilities that are very limited in what they can do for people who don't fall into the severely mentally disabled label. This also means that a mentally unsound person is much less likely to be properly diagnosed, much less treated. It's a real problem where I live, and one that I deal with through my work.
Again this is locally, I can't say what is happening on a national level.

This sale sucks so far...
That Darksiders Franchise deal was amazing. Best deal I have ever seen in Steam. Especially since part 2 is a really good game. Also the Grimrock and Orcs Must Die 2 deals were pretty good (I already have both though). I did pick up Amnesia for $5 which I thought was good.
I want to believe that once Kimmel goes on at 11:30 it will hurt both Jay and Letterman. The move to Fallon would be NBC admitting that they need a younger guy at the helm. Honestly Fallen and Kimmel are miles better at the late night thing these days. The old guard is running out of steam.
I really don't have high hopes for this movie. The book is decent enough, but turning it into a movie seems like it would be really boring. Unless they turn the sessions at Command School into real looking space battles, and even then the characters would seem so detached. Not sure how they are going to pull this off without spoiling the end.
Also, Card is an asshole. He gives religion a bad name.

I decided I would pick up the "deluxe" version of this only if I stumbled across one but I wasn't going to go out of my way to track one down. On a whim, stopped in my local BB on the way home and they had one left from the shipment that got that day, along with a good number of the basic system. Snagged it about 30 seconds before someone else showed up looking for one and also picked up ZombieU. Got started late with the setup and gave up on the system update at midnight after two hours of "downloading". Woke up this morning to find it had failed.
Guess I'll repeat the update tonight and see how it goes, then perhaps actually play a dang game. Or try to transfer stuff off my Wii...
I saw both versions at a local Target yesterday. On a whim I looked up what the system is going for on Ebay and it seems like they are selling for near retail. So even though the sales numbers are strong I wouldn't say the demand is too far ahead of the supply.

CK,about that Huntress spoiler
Spoiler for Hiden:
I didn't see that mask on her underneath the Helmet,or is that pic from a later episode? the pic isn't from an episode that you guys have seen yet, right?
as i just found out,the UK is only 6 days behind(at this very moment,4th Dec they have both shown the same episodes)
Still enjoying it though,i know it has been picked up for the full season, but how is it doing in The States?(i don't want another cancellation of a series i watch)
The last numbers I saw had it being the highest rated show on its network, and then it got picked up for a full season. I haven't seen anything to show that the ratings have dipped at all, so I would say this one will get picked up for season 2 for sure. So far it's getting higher ratings than Smallville did in season 1 (Which was on the same network here), so that's a good sign.
Apparently the Republicans in Congress have learned nothing since the beginning of the month.
I imagine Boner's thought process went something like this: "Hey why don't we continue with the GOP status quo and appoint a guy to chair the science committee who actually refuses to believe the scientific community. Americans will love us for it."
GOATS: This is a toss up between Diablo 3, ME3, and Guild Wars 2.
GW2 just did not click with me at all. The lack of actual classes that matter, the fact that every single map is a square made up of a bunch of small towns in a circle around the square, the lack of a good storyline, It was just a huge let down for me.
ME3= The ending
Diablo 3 was fun for one or two play throughs, but it got old really quick, even when playing co-op with friends. Diable is not supposed to get old quick.
Howard Stern has been ripping on these guys for a couple of years now. He sends in a reporter to ask the obvious questions. Next year the organizers are promising to kick the reporter out as soon as he gets there. Should be interesting.
I'm a Persona noob. And since 1,2,and 3 are all $9 on the PSN right now I was thinking about getting one for my trip this weekend. So is it ok to start with part 3 and is part 3 better than part 2? Which one should I get?
I'm still waiting to see an explanation as to why this should be such a big deal from those that think it is a big deal. Other than the "well if this had happened to Bush then you would be screaming" rant, which was more than soundly shown not to be true.

LOL. I will pretend this is not a typical brettmcd troll about weight.
You can be as PC as you like, but if you think image doesn't matter you're kidding yourself.
Thinking that people shouldnt be negatively judged and humiliated because of their appearance and or weight is trolling now? Grow up.
Seriously Brett, face reality here. Becoming president is all about making people feel good about you and making them have a positive image about you. It is very hard for people to have a positive image about obese people. Call it unfair, call it whatever. It's reality. The dude is WAY over weight. If he wants to run for President (I hope he does) then he needs to lose some weight. He doesn't have to be Paul Ryan fit, but he needs to at least be no worse than Jack Black.

Anybody watch the Karl Rove meltdown last night after Fox called it for Obama? Comedy GOLD
Please god tell me you have a link for that. I did catch Tucker Carlson desperately trying to blame the outcome on the White House making abortion an issue (This was around 9pm eastern, well before it was called). It was laughable.
This morning Fox Radio's spin was that immigrants are being duped by the Democrats to vote for them and that they should really be voting for Republicans since Republicans serve their interests better. Again completely laughable for everyone but the Fox Bots listening.

That being said, I also have to agree with Eel Snave when it comes to pretty girls. I agree that I am the prettiest, of course. But I've always believed Scraper's avatar is intended to throw people off and that he's almost as pretty as I am. I'm also convinced that Purge and Ceekay are acid burn victims, that Razgon actually lives in Peoria and NOT Denmark, and that Issie is hiding in the crawlspace of my apartment most of the time.
Over the last couple of months, you have appeared throughout the country, Governor, on behalf of Mitt Romney… (W)e hear that perhaps Mr. Romney may do some storm-related events. Is there any possibility that Gov. Romney may go to New Jersey to tour some of the damage with you?
Christie’s surprising answer:
I have no idea, nor am I the least bit concerned or interested. I’ve got a job to do here in New Jersey that’s much bigger than presidential politics and I could care less about any of that stuff. I have a job to do. I’ve got 2.4 million people out of power. I’ve got devastation on the shore. I’ve got floods in the northern part of my state. If you think right now I give a damn about presidential politics then you don’t know me.
Glad to see someone has their priorities straight.
I don't know much about Christie, but what little I have seen I like. He comes across as a very real person. Now if he would just lose some weight he could be a serious contender for the Presidential stage.

Rick, it does not apply to any of those.
I said I Kid, sort of, only because I think there is a larger percentage of Obama supporters that really should be tested in some way before voting. Controversial obviously, and I realize and respect why that will never happen. Still though, after watching and listening to many interviews of Obama supporters this past year the thought entered my mind for the first time.
Similar to the time I was almost hit head on by a 90 yo lady going the wrong way on a one way street. Elderly people should really be tested occasionally after a certain point to determine whether they're capable of driving safely. If I were 80, I'd want to be tested .
Most people think that other people are stupid. But it's the smart people that know that they are a part of those "people". Saying that Obama supporters need tested and not other groups is just ignorant and shows an inability to analyze yourself and your fellow party members.
