I have to ask everyone if they are planning on getting the console version this month or waiting patiently to get the rumored PC version later this year.

I can't make up my mind. I know I would prefer to play it on my PC but patient and gaming don't mix.

Opinions?

This might be the game to get me to buy the next gen Xbox. I love the story telling potential of a TV series along with the actions sequences of a game. I am worried that the story telling might suck.

Any idea when this is scheduled to be out? Certainly not by launch.

Are there any good launch titles?

I'd like to play a Gand BodyGuard named Poill.

Poill's last client died suddenly and Poill has no purpose at present. Poill would enjoy putting his meager skills to work for a worthy cause.

Turtle. I am definitely IN!

I've got my own copy of the beginners rulebook and I can't wait to see your interpretation.

This is now out.

I'm willing to run a play by forum game if others are willing to play.

Turtle, count me interested in a forum Star Wars game. I'm particularly fascinated by the story telling potential.

You can also tell it is a more advanced squad too. In the original at some point you squad gets enough experience to where it can hold its own but the early missions were meat grinders. I expect more of the same with the new game.

Friggin cant wait.

There is nothing I wouldn't do for Clementine. She is such a sweet little girl that I am terrified what could happen. Oh, and screw Kenny.

Hey Guys: Sorry I have been away.

I have Zaheed at Lvl 11 and on the Imperial fleet and all ready to do the first flashpoint down to Drond Kas if anyone is interested. Arkon is already in for Tuesday at 7:00 pm.

BTW, I choose my spec to be Sorcerer and I've going to be doing biochem. Hope that works with everyone else. Can't wait to get the gang all together.

Hey Jaddison. I added you on steam. Have you created a character yet? I'm still working my inquisitor through the starting planet and like Arkon I can't skip
Quests either. Hopefully one of you becomes Sith Warrior so we can group
up.

Great!~! Thats four. Lets start the adventure.

It seems that everyone would be okay with playing the Empire side. Lets start on Monday and then discuss our best days while online. If everyone is okay, lets use voice on steam. My steam name is scoop20906.

If there are no objections I will create a character on the Rubat Crystal server.

I will be online at 8:00 pm tomorrow night. I will post my character name here so we can find each other.

Preferred Side/Class: Empire/Bounty Hunter.
Preferred Days and Times: Mondays and Tuesdays are likely my best days

Steam UN: Arkon

3

Preferred Days and Times: Mondays
Time Zone: Texas
Steam UN: ??

4

UPDATE:
Arkon chose a bounty hunter so since we are on different start worlds we decided to level until we get off the starter worlds and can join up. When drifter and Jaddison create their characters we can come back and help you guys level up. We still need one Sith Warrior and one Imperial Agent.

We can talk about how to craft our characters so we become an unbeatable team.

20  Gaming / Multiplayer Madness (MMO or otherwise) / Re: Star Wars: The Old Republic (dev posts, news items, fan sites etc.) on: April 06, 2012, 09:57:21 PM
Hey:

Cool!! I'm not pressed to play for hours every night either. I just want to enjoy my star wars time and I've found group play is actually ALOT of fun in star wars where it seemed more annoying in other MMOs I have tried.

I'm eastern time as well. All I suggest is that we all agree to pick two days a week and a time that works for us to play our characters together. If someone can't make it its no big deal. Those of us there can decide to reschedule or play some quests and when the other member comes back we can re-run the quests they didn't get.

My best days are week nights mostly Mondays and Thursdays but I'm open to anything but Fridays. I'm thinking 8:00 or 9:00 pm is the best time to start. We can do an hour or two and then hit the cantina.

I'm open for either Empire (Bounty Hunter or Sith Inquistor) or Republic (Trooper, Jedi Knight, Jedi Counselor). I'd like to have a core group who build our characters and adventure together with the occasional higher level ally joining us for Flashpoints and stuff.

Lockdown, you can just start with us and then play when you can make the time. No expectations even if you are gone for a few weeks.

So, if you want to join our cause please leave the following info:

Name:
Preferred Server:
Preferred Side/Class:
Preferred Days and Times:
Time Zone:

I will go first:
1
Name: Scoop20906
Preferred Server: Rubat Crystal
Preferred Side/Class: Republic/Jedi Knight or Empire/Sith Inquistor
Preferred Days and Times: Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday starting at 8:00 or 9:00 pm

2

Hey guys: I'm looking for anyone who would like to start some new characters and build them together.

I have found I really enjoy the stories more when I share them with another character. Also leveling together feels fairer instead of getting a higher level player to kill everything for me on a tough mission.

I can usually play in the evenings for about 2 hours 2 to 3 times a week. I like to use steam to coordinate and communicate.

Anyone interested?

Blarg!! I can't even play the game. I went to import MY Shepard and the game says it can't import his face. How did this get though their QA?????

I saw they are working on a patch but how long will that take? Earth is getting hammered!

26  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Jagged Alliance 2: Reloaded now Jagged Alliance: Back in Action on: January 15, 2012, 06:36:45 PM
I am absolutely excited and terrified. Since this is a remake how much of it is "EXACTLY" like the original? While I'm excited to play an updated version of one of my all time favorites will it be so similar that I get bored because its "been there done that".

Also, all off the combat video is of the mercs only shooting the enemy. I see no example of how the enemy AI works or reacts. Without good enemy AI this may suck greatly.

I need a review or preview before I can buy this but I REALLY want to get it.

I liked the interactive trailer. I'm thinking I will enjoy this game. Looks like it controls pretty well. I'm hoping it has a deep campaign which slowly levels up your powers and forces to choose paths instead of giving you everything at the end. Touch choices makes good games.

Funny you should ask:

Quote
August 16, 2011: Ogre 6e Status Report: 2012

I haven't done a good enough job recently of communicating the status of Ogre 6th Edition. The status is: Still planned, still the super-fancy as per the prototypes you can see on that page (and which I expect will show up in the display case at PAX in a couple of weeks) . . .

And definitely still not on track for 2011. I warned everyone in May that it might not happen in 2011, and now I can say it definitely won't. I knew that at the end of June, before I took July off, and I should have shared.

There's no sophisticated marketing reason (and, for that matter, no sinister financial reason) for the delay. It's just "not enough hours in Steve's day." Ogre takes a certain amount of concentration and "getting into state" to do right. It's fun, but it's a lot more demanding fun than, say, making up Munchkin curses.

I continue to get more mail about this than any other upcoming project (definitely more than for any single Munchkin projects, probably more than for any two). I know you want it; I want to do it . . . it's just going to take more work.

Thanks Issy. I don't mind waiting.

Yeah, the dated graphics bothered me a bit but the potential for storytelling and free forum exploration look to be there as well as trying to survive. I wonder if they will go the full route and have you have to find food to eat and get sleep every 12 or so hours only to get woke up from a zombie attack. I'll have my eye out for the PC version but not sold just yet.
37  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: [XBLA} Hydrophobia on: February 02, 2011, 09:08:18 PM
I could tell the difference now the game is patched. The game play is much smoother now and the remapped the jump button to A. Surprising how much of a difference this type of thing makes.

This is NOT a must buy game. Its a nice deal at $5.00 however and I encourage people to pick it up you are inclined.

Gameplay is like a disaster story. You are running around with explosions all over and water flowing and throwing you around every where. Some fairly simple but fun puzzles and the game flows better once you get past the demo.

The plot is alot like diehard but I'm okay with that.

Again, I don't advise people to buy this as it is nothing super special but I am enjoying it for the $5.00 I payed for it.
