Love my Nomad Zen Xtra, but the choice is ultimately up to you. I don't think you can really go wrong with a Karma, Ipod or Zen..

Yep. A few of the first games I bought that were not first party for my Atari 800 were in Zip Lock Bags. It was kinda a pac man clone, I think by Sierra..

Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / HL2 has no manual

Cheap. Not that a FPS absolutely needs one but basically schilling out to Prima to "Sell" your manual is low. Of course, this does not single out Valve. Seems like they're all doing it these days...

Non-Gaming / Hardware / Software Hell / Good & free AV software?

I used to use AVG, but awhile back It seemed like I could never get thru to update. So, On someones suggestion on the old forum, I tried Avast! I like it alot better and it seems to offer a better feature set, even without the ability to schedule scans (That I can see). Its free, updates itself with great frequency and the price is right. Nortons is now way too bloated for my taste, at least in the AV Market. Ghost 9 OTOH, I <3 that , but of course that may be because its now basically driveimage pro

I'm no CL Fanboy, but I have no problems with my Live! 5.1 on my new Asus P4T533-C MB. Perfect! Now on my old Abit KT7 (Via Chipset) it was enough to make me want to stomp the card into dust...

I had a chance at a really nice priced 9800 Pro but at the time the budget wouldn't shoulder the cost. I do like the card but I realize its not the fastest thing. Its not really let me down and I think its viable for a little while anyway. The DOOM3 Demo was definately playable at 1024 medium quality, and looked fantastic when it wasn't so damn dark Gotta get a monitor before anything tho, this one's days are numbered..

Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / HL1 in Source not all it's cracked up to be

I'll wait till GoGamer has the Import DVD and buy that. DoD source and HL1 Source probably wouldn't get more than a cursory glance from me anyway, and its not like there won't be a buttload of new mods for HL2 anyway. And I like having the Media anyway (And the imports usually come in a DVD Hardcase. I <3 those

Space is limited and I do need to print in color, so the laser would not be my first choice, I'm in a studio apartment and don't have room for both. What I do like about the canons is the individual cartridges . My first inkjet was a Canon BJC600 I'll take a look at the 960...

Pentium 4 2.53 ASUS P4T533-C Mainboard 512MB PC1066 RDRAM (Samsung) ATi Radeon 9600 Pro 128MB SB Live 5.1 30GB IBM Deskstar and WD 80GB (8mb Cache)
I'm looking to play some of the newer games (Mainly Pacific Fighters and Brothers In Arms) but don't need them to be full eye candy, even on Medium I'll be happy)
I would like to go to a GB of RAM if I can find some matching RAM at a reasonable price) and would like to replace the IBM Drive with another WD 80 or larger.

OK, My Lexmark Z51 is ticking me off, Had it for a few years and it simply doesn't impress me anymore. Getting sick of the expensive cartridge changes and less than stellar print quality. Anyways, My ink is running low, and it would appear that I can upgrade to a better model printer for just a few bucks. In the latest Computer Shopper (Thanks GG Bargains Forum for the free sub ) They seem to like the Canon i560 and said it was reasonably priced, but I can't find it available anyplace. Anyone got reccomendations on a Sub-100 dollar inkjet thats pretty nice quality and is available? PS. Don't bring HP into the thread

I have installed (And use most of em) AdBlock, Download Manager Tweak, IEView, FoxyTunes (Use that one in Thunderbird as well) , Smoothwheel, Tabbrowser Extensions, Bugmenot , All In One Gestures and Minimize to tray.
Based on this thread I think I'm going to try Right Click, Spellbound , Download Them All.
How can I block tubgirl BTW, I hate when that pops up in forums

Wasn't aware of that, Thanks for the link. The verse I used I saw on a greeting card, and I didn't think much about it. I won't use it again, now that I know. I didn't mean it in a mean or vindictive way, just picking on jpinard for talking to himself

The silver option is very very tempting, but I have such a backlog its not funny. I'll probably pick up the import DVD version of the base game and not look back. The more I think about it the more I realize I'll never play most of the stuff included.

Anyone have any good resources about these that are gamer friendly? My 19" CRT is about to take a dump and I'm looking for a reasonable priced 17" Flat Panel to replace it with.

S'ok, I'm just getting my feet wet, Sent the PDF off to kinkos to print, and reading the official forums. Had to figure out earlier how to manually update punkbuster, was getting kicked. Ended up having to manually update it and entering something (?) in the console. What a PITA. Of course that was on top of E&E training..
