I'll pass on this. While I enjoyed Crysis 2 the lack of an actual boos fight at the end left me befuddled and betwixt as the end simply caught me off guard. Add to that th 5-6 hr estimated and its simply not worth my 70$ what with Tomb Raider and God of War on the horizon.
Finished the game the other day and on the whole I really enjoyed it. I have always liked every DS game and this one is exception.
While at first I thought that the crafting was a little too 'difficult' to master I cam to really rely on it.
Sure there were frustrating points - every game has them. For example:
Spoiler for Hiden:
very near the end - in fact leading up to the final battle when you are racing along the path while the moon is coming apart I was constantly dying! why? Because I failed to understand that the path behind me was breaking apart and I did not have enough time to beat the monsters before the time expired!! Very frustrating.
Anyhoo - despite that I am playing newgame+ and liking that I am a killing machine now!

Out. Black Ops 2 is the last for me this generation, I fight lag more than other players.
I'm pretty sure that I am with Kato on this one. I am tired of seeing death replays showing me either not shooting and/or seeing my death in a place where I was not like around the wall / being circle straffed when it did not happen like that on my screen. I could grin and bear the last few titles because I liked the camaraderie but there is only so much smiling I can do.

About 5 hours in now and I'd say it's no more action packed than any of the previous DS games. It pretty much has the exact same formula as the other two.
Couldn't agree more. This game is DS plain and simple. Really liking it now more and more. It says I am about 26% in and 7.5 hrs thus far - I like to explore
Played a little more today and got to just after chapter 5 I think. Now it's starting to click again with me. Bench is a little easier now but will take some time. One thing I don't like is that it will let you assign circuits to guns even if they won't work. Eg: I added extra clip to the lower rail on my cutter. Thing is that I have the rotate axis option. It allowed me until I realized that there was no reason. Just poor decision and understanding on my part
I am liking it better and better now. Glad I stuck with the series ( so far ......)
saw this a few weeks ago and I came away with: "Meh. I'm glad I saw it" kinda feeling.
For me at least it seemed to lack the magic of the FoTR and the rest of the LoTR films. It felt similar to HBOs The Pacific in so far as trying to live up to what Band of Brothers was (and still is)
Anyhoo - like I said I am glad that I saw it and look forward to the other 2 installments.
Don't fuck around. Try to take in fluids. If you can't keep them in you need to time the times between intake and......we you know. If you can't keep them in that look to the professionals for help like the doctor or the hospital.
I had food poisoning 8yrs ago and lost 20lbs in one week and was hospitalized because I was a few hours away from organ failure. Nasty nasty time.
Yes I have been playing - got my copy Thursday afternoon and the servers came online Frioday afternoon or so. At its core it is COD and I am enjoying it. Sure bullets still hit you around corners but what did we expect? The perk system is cool - right now I have 2 level 3 perks in one of my builds which means I have to sacrifice my secondary (for example but you can chose) and I also have 3 attachments on my primary. Let me just say that then FAL with auto select fire is godly!!
Thus far SMGs are ruling the maps my only real gripe thus far is that all the good assault rifles are starting at like level 30 or so. Never had a COD title make us wait that long.
I went to my 20yr HS reunion this summer and it was a blast. I was of the same mind about the contacts that I decided to keep via Facebook the same way you have. However it was still great to see many many faces. I had a great time and was very surprised that I had as much fun as I did.
I like the game. As I said before I enjoy the Halo universe etc etc
Graphics are the best I've seen for the Halo series and the new sounds from the battle rifle, pistol etc are all very nice. At its core 343 nailed the overall game-play. I also think that they borrowed from other studios/games (Gears & Crysis) I can't be positive but I don't think any Halo thus far has done this. What do I mean? Well I will spoiler what I am about to say
Spoiler for Hiden:
Why I mention the Crysis is because I find that the new Promethians are very much like the Aliens (CEPHS) from Crysis. I mention Gears because of the insertion of a huge derrick like vehicle about 2hrs in with turrets on either side that you have to man and take out the attacking Covenant forces with while you drive to your objective - sound familiar Gears 2 fans?
Now that being said I am enjoying the game I just wish it was a little more unique - but how can you do that in today's market? I also like some of the death animations - remember when Blade(movie) first came out and when he dispatched the vampires they would 'burn' and dissolve with glowing ember/ashes? well there are a few weapons in this game that have those effects. Speaking of weapons - some of the Promethean weapons are quite cool when you either reload or initially pick up - you'll see what I mean. There is also a new grenade that I can't quite master - you'll know it when you throw it as it creates a red bubble around itself? There are also a few abilities that you can pick up- jetpack, promethan vision, sentry etc etc. The sentry sounded cool until you realize that it is stationary..... don't like. Anyhoo - I am far from a reviewer so I will leave it at that. Enjoy.
Managed to get an early retail copy this evening and played for about an hour or so.
First impressions are that the game looks what can best be described as more mature in terms of graphics. It just looks so crisp and clear. The weapon sounds have also changed and sound more 'realistic' and less 'cartoony'. All in all I am very impressed. I like the SP aspects of the Halo franchise and am not into the MP stuff. I hate all the jumping all shooting.
big wind and rain here just outside Toronto. Halloween decorations removed from trees and front yard just in case. No need for panic prep on this end- its just rain and wind.
