Okay I'm at the point where we've all been with rpgs. I have 311k and am thinking about buying a bow for my ranger........it costs 222k from the black cat merchant pre dragon fight.  
Thing is I can't figure out reliably if it'll make a difference. All I have now is a level 2 longbow. I'm only level 29.

if I store items with 'merchants' for use later does the storage inventory follow me to other areas in the game? Or must I return to the merchant who I originally stored the items with?

I saw this last week and liked it for what it was. Left the theater and thought that I could see it again later with my wife etc.

But now after reading this thread over the past week I am getting angry - no wait that is too harsh. I am 'irked' now that I have been drawing parallels between what I saw and what is being posted here. Boy oh boy did he ever flub it - I think that it may have all started with the re-write and adding that Lost screenwriter to the mix http://insidemovies.ew.com/2012/05/11/damon-lindelof-prometheus-life-after-lost/ That new screenwriter (Damon L.) stated in an early post link (above) that he told Ridley that there was too much Alien material (chest bursters/face huggers / aliens) in the original screenplay and suggested that the movie could be made without making the direct links that the fans want and need. What a douche! If I want artsy fartsy make me think I will head back to university and enroll in philosophy and sociology classes.

If they expect to make a sequel and make people happy they had better be prepared to answer all the questions and spoon feed the audience with explanations and details. Wrap it all up with nice paper and bows and ribbons.

Lost was frustrating yet entertaining - but ultimately I feel that the writers wanted to stroke their own manhood over and over.
This hubris came through with flying colours in Prometheus - I can still see Lindelof beating off in a corner like a maniac happy in his content that he stoked the cerebral fires again for those of us who aren't as 'smart' as he is.

Lindelof confirms in the article that the original screenplay author is 'OK' with the re-write - I call BS. I bet that guy is seething now that his potential Xenomorph Summer blockbuster has been relegated to something that needs a sequel to explain what ultimately should have been handled in 2hrs and a $13 movie ticket.

Listen - I am a smart man - but I don't need to weave a web to prove that I am a smart man. Fucking guy is so full of himself.

damn! just watched Adam Sessler's review and my graphical is nothing like what I just saw. the gameplay he used was from 360. maybe somehow my son chnaged my settings to 480i

I'm not trying to troll but I'm not blown away by the 360 graphics. coming from Tomb Raider type visuals this one seems a little flat.

I have read reports that NK don't have enough food nor fuel for anything prolonged.

I freely admit that I don't come from a military family nor do I think I could join up BUT I would really like to see NK smacked like the petulant child they are.
Just a big enough smack that they would think twice next time. 

I support and admire our troops and don't wish for an invasion just a couple rockets etc to shut the NK up.

I have a Traxxas Slash trophy truck style RC that is a ton of fun for just tearing around, jumping off dirt mounds and general bashing.  When I have somewhere good to go I prefer to do the solo relaxing thing as well, not really interested in competitive track racing or whatever.

Agreed - My son and I have a Slash 2wd each and they are tons of fun for bashing and racing around. Got them for last Christmas and because there was no snow on the ground we headed to the local BMX tack and hoped the fence and had a great time racing them around the course.

Hi all - I just moved from an ipad to a nice new Sammy Galaxy tab 2 and need help with a video streaming app.

on my ipad I was using Video Stream client and app to connect and stream movies from my external drive. video stream worked amazingly as it handled any and all formats that I threw at it. the pc client would handle the crunching and then stream via wifi to the tablet app.

the native video player has DLNA support to connect to my external drive (WD Live w/twonky media serv) but if cannot decode anything other than some avi files.

I tried a few options last night from the google play store like VLC etc.

anyone else doing this and have suggestions?

I found the  first one way funnier than the second installment.  That being said I'm happy to see that they're returning to Vegas.
 

Hark after our chat the other night I tried out the MP after beating the game.............

Initial impressions are not good at all. I haven't seen lag like that since dial up Half Life TDM on the PC.
Horrid character models, choppy animation and bland level design. Underpowered default weapons.... The list could go on and on.
I may try once more later this evening but for now it's a deal breaker.

Well I just finished the campaign. Very satisfying and happy to say that it kept me engaged the entire time.
Hard to say how long it was for me as I like to explore and spent time going back to previous areas. I would guesstimate that it clocked in at around 24hrs? I've had it since last Friday the
The game tells me that I completed it with an 85% completion record.

Was able to upgrade all the weapons save for the pistol. Never located the missing 3 parts.

Loving the exploration and the idea that you can go back to other levels to reach previously unattainable areas.

There was an update to the 360 on Friday night when I started playing too.

initial impressions from about 2 hours of game play.

Really like it. Graphics are great - level design is amazing tons of areas to explore with vertical options aplenty. When you have your torch lit I must say that I have yet to see a better representation of realistic fire to date.

Atmosphere is just right! ambient sounds and music are spot on -

you'll notice this first right after you get to the camp on the cliff side and you enter the Japanese bunker - the music from the phonograph is amazing

There are some issues with the camera at times - most of the time you are free to look around however there are some instances where it 'locks' onto just one perspective and feels like you're handcuffed. Kinda hard to explain but you'll see.

Enemy AI is OK right now - too early to tell. I am playing on normal.

Good use of skill points and scavenging options to increase your ammo capacity / bow strength / hunting etc etc.

You can fast travel between camps which is great if your the kind of player who likes to find EVERYTHING on a map before progressing.

And I'll say it again I really like the level design and set pieces - the ruined Japanese structures are really quite something.

You'll also have to be spot on with the QT moments - it seems pretty unforgiving so far.

Anyhoo - not much to say other than I am glad that this was my first time with Tomb Raider.

Edited to add: this game feels very much like my first few hours with Far Cry way back when on the PC. That being said there are a ton of similarities between TR and Far Cry 3 : mysterious island, Japanese emplacements , artifacts and notes left behind by soldiers.  

Also a nice touch that I've never seen before is that when she is walking in water she stumbles and plods along just like a real person does. There is no skating thru the water if you get my meaning.

I got mine for the 360 tonight - played about 40mins so far. too early for impressions but I like what I see so far.

I'm getting my copy of Tomb Raider tonight so I'll be playing this.
