Well i have my preorder headstart code, it arrived today and it supposed to be from Monday which is good news.
882  Gaming / Multiplayer Madness (MMO or otherwise) / Re: Warhammer - Euro stuff (Euro guild as well) on: September 12, 2008, 04:11:25 PM
Well just got home and my early access code has arrived by email so i can play on Monday.

I haven't played on a RP server before, is it much different from normal then? ANyways i'm happy to go one side on an RP server and the other on a non rp server.
883  Gaming / Multiplayer Madness (MMO or otherwise) / Re: Warhammer - Euro stuff (Euro guild as well) on: September 11, 2008, 09:32:26 PM
Well i have not played as much as i wanted but it is definitely a day one purchase. Biggest problem i will have is what character to play. The first problem is they all need playing to lvl 10 before they start getting good.

I didn't like Shadow Warrior but enjoyed the Magus, Ironbreaker and shaman. But only played to lvl 5+.

I defintely will not rush this, going to enjoy the playing rather than rush to level. I'm also tempted to have a Tank, Priest and DPS. In no other game have a played more than one toon but WAR may just change that, best not let my wife know though.
884  Gaming / Multiplayer Madness (MMO or otherwise) / Re: Warhammer - Euro stuff (Euro guild as well) on: September 10, 2008, 08:19:46 PM
No probs. We just need to make sure we choose the same server for full game. I have pre ordered so hopefully get some access on monday/tuesday next week.
885  Gaming / Multiplayer Madness (MMO or otherwise) / Re: Warhammer - Euro stuff (Euro guild as well) on: September 10, 2008, 05:19:50 PM
OK quick update

On

[EN]Karag Orrud as Order

High Elf - Shadow Warrior
Dwarf - Ironbreaker
Empire - Warrior Priest

[EN]Ellyrion as Destruction

Dark Elf - Witch Elf
Greenskin - Black Orc
Chaos - Maurauder

My main aim to try a few classes to lvl 10 or so if possible so it allows me to make a good choice next week.

So far i'm not enjoying Shadow Warrior too much but not really sure why.
886  Gaming / Multiplayer Madness (MMO or otherwise) / Re: Warhammer - Euro stuff (Euro guild as well) on: September 10, 2008, 05:15:51 PM
Thing is we need us keys and us client rather than eu.

Shame they didn't do it like EQ2 where you can play anywhere.
887  Gaming / Multiplayer Madness (MMO or otherwise) / Re: Warhammer - Euro stuff (Euro guild as well) on: September 10, 2008, 04:01:39 PM
OK im in game now, server is Karag Orrud and im on order to start with. Trying 3 toons Shadow Warrior, Ironbreaker and Warrior Priest. Toons called Reemul, Reemu and Reemule (original i know ;P)
888  Gaming / Multiplayer Madness (MMO or otherwise) / Re: Warhammer Online headed to Open Beta on 9/7 on: September 09, 2008, 04:34:09 PM
Well home from work and new account registration is down still. Anyways i managed to find a backdoor link and registered and entered my beta code but no emails at all yet. Looks like it's a wait and see thing.
889  Gaming / Multiplayer Madness (MMO or otherwise) / Re: Warhammer Online headed to Open Beta on 9/7 on: September 09, 2008, 06:14:08 AM
My issue is i can't even create an account as it's disabled, i have the client no problem, but no account and even those with accounts can't register there beta keys due to issues. This isn't really good with a week to go.
890  Gaming / Multiplayer Madness (MMO or otherwise) / Re: Warhammer Online headed to Open Beta on 9/7 on: September 08, 2008, 09:32:03 PM
Well it seems for the EU they aren't allowing any more accounts to be created until tomorrow at the earliest due to the back log of registering the beta keys. They are also showing that registering your key is unstable atm.

It is frightening that they can't handle an Open Beta 10 days before the full game is due to go live. If mythic aren't careful this game could fail in the EU due to how bad GOA and not on what the game is like or in the future is the support given is as bad as it has been people will happily go back to WoW. In fact i really can't believe they don't realise how important it is to get it right right away as they are already competing with mmo's that have had a chance to get it right.

I realise it's only an open beta, but if we had a month or so to go to release it wouldn't be too bad, but pre orders are getting access on Monday next week so they really haven't got long to get it right.
891  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: SPORE names (for content sharing) on: September 08, 2008, 05:33:48 PM
Yes i agree with this, making small changes to your creature gets him published as a different creature. Slightly different hands or feet and it's a new creature. Maybe you can click on each version and choose if it's published or not, i shall have to try it.
892  Gaming / Multiplayer Madness (MMO or otherwise) / Re: Warhammer - Euro stuff (Euro guild as well) on: September 08, 2008, 04:57:15 PM
Well at least i'm in when i wasn't interested so if i get some play time in before release i will be pleased. I have to admit the idea of weeding out a few classes by trying em early sounds good.

I have to admit i'm pulling the client down from a newsgroup and getting the full bandwidth on my 20 meg line, which is a heck of a lot better than the torrent was getting.
893  Gaming / Multiplayer Madness (MMO or otherwise) / Re: Warhammer - Euro stuff (Euro guild as well) on: September 08, 2008, 04:40:24 PM
Site is up and working but not for people who haven't yet created an account, that is not available yet so i can't register.

Same question here as other topic, anyone know where to download the client from or a torrent link?
894  Gaming / Multiplayer Madness (MMO or otherwise) / Re: Warhammer Online headed to Open Beta on 9/7 on: September 08, 2008, 04:35:59 PM
I just got a key, i just got a key woo hoo. LOL, i found a site which had 21 Beta keys left, registered and got 1, how lucky is that. Now i have to go download the client, sounds like i'll be playing by the weekend  Tongue

895  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: SPORE Impressions on: September 07, 2008, 06:17:50 PM
I'm just moving on to the Tribal stage and enjoying it.

It is a shame you just end up min/maxing certain things to get what you need rather than just designing stuff that is pleasing to the eye. I would rather they had just let you earn points you can put on to the body parts rather than having to use a head that has 5 for bite even though you'd prefer a head of 2 but won't use as it makes it harder to progress or even impossible. Multiple arms/legs/eyes really aren't worth it, neither are multiple mouths.

Also is it worth getting all the body parts at stage 2 or moving on with say 75% of them found?

I don't think you should be allowed to play in any sort of Beta Raz, cause i'm not in and you will have too much of an advantage over me when i play on the 18th  Tongue

what side are you going to be playing on, Reemul? I need to know, so I can choose the opposite, and smithe you! ;-)

I think Witch-hunter sounds rather fun, actually...the idea behind it, actually, and I'm always reminded of the witch-hunterss from Disciples! Best damn graphic art I've ever seen...eh, sorry for the derail

oh, and btw, Reemul, there's a ton of keys out there - some uk site had 50.000 a few days ago...Fileplay I think its calleD?

I've not really chosen a side or class so am happy to try pretty much anything.

Fileplanet seems to be usa, aus, nz for beta keys, anywhere else has none left. I will keep an eye out but it's only a 11 days till full release.

Aye, it's strange seeing the majority of you not being able to play it while us europeans can.

Now you know what it's like to be us an dit is very frustrating when you know you know the game is sat in the shop warehouse.

I have no idea why there can't be a same day release. In the UK all games come out on a Friday regardless,. Hopefully it means Warhammer which is due on Thursday will be available in store but there is a good chance it won't be as it's not a normal release day.

Well i will definitely be getting it but recently i just haven't managed to play anything at all. Hopefully with Winter coming and the nipper getting a bit older i will get some play time but not holding my breath.
902  Gaming / Multiplayer Madness (MMO or otherwise) / Re: Vanguard - free month for inactive accounts on: July 29, 2008, 03:20:44 PM
there's a low level quest line for Goblins that is bugged and you can't complete it which I find really irritating.

I had this, i'm a goblin, i petioned an dit was sorted in about an hour, well worth completing as well.
903  Gaming / Multiplayer Madness (MMO or otherwise) / Re: Vanguard - free month for inactive accounts on: July 22, 2008, 03:33:49 PM
Gop in to the options and click unlock the ui box and it allows all to be moved the when finished untick it and voila.
904  Gaming / Multiplayer Madness (MMO or otherwise) / Re: AoC official forum Dev Postings of note on: July 12, 2008, 06:28:31 AM
Just reading this makes me realise how much sin't in the game that should be an dhow much of it is just basic stuff, like tradeskills working properly, changing your tradeskill, lack of content etc etc. I still find it amazing that the games aren't shipped with what needs to work work.

It makes you realise that while Warhammer is dropping some stuff which would be nice to have in, surely it is better to ensure what is in at least works as intended rahter than having loads of features which need fixing and just annoy people.
905  Gaming / Multiplayer Madness (MMO or otherwise) / Re: AoC official forum Dev Postings of note on: July 04, 2008, 05:04:47 PM
Well when it boils down to MMO'S and DPS for many it is the holy grail and a difference no matter how small will be a major issue. In fact i can bet if you told everyone on release day that females had a lower dps a massive amount of people wouldn't roll female toons.
906  Gaming / Multiplayer Madness (MMO or otherwise) / Re: Vanguard - free month for inactive accounts on: July 02, 2008, 04:46:49 PM
ONe bug in VG is that on Vista rain doesn't seem to show up, all my playing in Kojan and i have yet to see any rain. I like the Kojan setting the most followed by Qalia then Thestra.

I'm playing a Necro, but i'm enjoying the Bard and DK as well.

The game has improved no end over release and while it might not last forever a free month of play at least is nothing to turn my nose up at the moment.
907  Gaming / Multiplayer Madness (MMO or otherwise) / Re: There just aren't enough AoC topics here these days. on: July 01, 2008, 03:51:44 PM

The other good thing is all the new players are low level, most didn't play it long enough to get any high level toons. So plenty of activity at the lower levels.

Reemul, I tried adding you,and last you were online, was 2007 according to the friends panel?

Ah Apologies, i forgot im called Reemu no L as the name was gone.

Saying that i'm enjoying the DK but not my starting area as a vulmane, i'm tempted to start again same class but different area.

Well i have rolled a DK on Seradon, i have a couple of toons on the EU server but it seems dead online compared to Seradon. Feel free to add me or let me know if you need some numbers to make a guild etc. Toon is called Reemul
913  Gaming / Multiplayer Madness (MMO or otherwise) / Re: Age of Conan Impressions on: May 25, 2008, 07:46:28 AM
Well i have picked this up and am enjoying it a lot.

it runs fine on my e6400, 2gig ram, gf7900gs on medium at 1440x900 with shadows off but haven't tried any higher settings.

Trying an assasin and he seems pretty powerful, i got hide at lvl 5 but so far seem to get spotted pretty easily even with the skill maxed out.

The combat is definitely different and takes a while to get used to but is defintely good and makes a change for clicking the same few icons over and over.

Can you buy moire bags for extra space as it doesn't take long to get overloaded

Yep for some people grinding is fine, especially if it's something you have enjoyed in the past. For me i just can't stand the grind, heck even in WoW i am so far behind the line when it comes to rep as i hate grinding.
916  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Snooker Game on: April 17, 2008, 09:05:17 PM
Similar to Pool but uses 15 reds and 6 coloured balls. You pot a red ball with the cue ball(which is white) followed by any 1 of the coloured balls followed by another red. Once all reds are gone you then pot the 6 colours in a specific order. Person with highest score wins.

Hi All,

I am after a decent snooker game for the PC. I have World Championship Snooker 2005 but can't seem to get it to run under Vista or find any sort of support for it either. Does anyone have any suggestions for another decent snooker game?

Umm, i can't agree, thought it was decidely short on the storyline itself with an abrupt ending. At least it can only get better.
