Just reading this makes me realise how much sin't in the game that should be an dhow much of it is just basic stuff, like tradeskills working properly, changing your tradeskill, lack of content etc etc. I still find it amazing that the games aren't shipped with what needs to work work.
It makes you realise that while Warhammer is dropping some stuff which would be nice to have in, surely it is better to ensure what is in at least works as intended rahter than having loads of features which need fixing and just annoy people.

ONe bug in VG is that on Vista rain doesn't seem to show up, all my playing in Kojan and i have yet to see any rain. I like the Kojan setting the most followed by Qalia then Thestra.
I'm playing a Necro, but i'm enjoying the Bard and DK as well.
The game has improved no end over release and while it might not last forever a free month of play at least is nothing to turn my nose up at the moment.

The other good thing is all the new players are low level, most didn't play it long enough to get any high level toons. So plenty of activity at the lower levels.
Reemul, I tried adding you,and last you were online, was 2007 according to the friends panel? Ah Apologies, i forgot im called Reemu no L as the name was gone. Saying that i'm enjoying the DK but not my starting area as a vulmane, i'm tempted to start again same class but different area.

Well i have picked this up and am enjoying it a lot.
it runs fine on my e6400, 2gig ram, gf7900gs on medium at 1440x900 with shadows off but haven't tried any higher settings.
Trying an assasin and he seems pretty powerful, i got hide at lvl 5 but so far seem to get spotted pretty easily even with the skill maxed out.
The combat is definitely different and takes a while to get used to but is defintely good and makes a change for clicking the same few icons over and over.
Can you buy moire bags for extra space as it doesn't take long to get overloaded

Similar to Pool but uses 15 reds and 6 coloured balls. You pot a red ball with the cue ball(which is white) followed by any 1 of the coloured balls followed by another red. Once all reds are gone you then pot the 6 colours in a specific order. Person with highest score wins. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snooker

Hi All,
I am after a decent snooker game for the PC. I have World Championship Snooker 2005 but can't seem to get it to run under Vista or find any sort of support for it either. Does anyone have any suggestions for another decent snooker game?

You should start coming upon more and more fellowship quests in the 20's. Some are just not possible to solo or do with two people - even when they turn green (damn you Return to Weathertop!). But I found when one area has quests that either turn to fellowship reccomended or are too high level you can find another area that will be just right and have plenty of solo quests.
Yeah i have read there will be more coming, but thankfully there are now a few zones with plenty of lvl 20-25 quests. Now the game is a fair few months old there are a few guides and help available to solve the problems of where to quest solo.

Well i have just levelled 1-20 solo on my Hunter with virtually no grouping, it is now very soloable and Book 12 due in Feb is adding even more solo quests in as well.
The only time i group is for certain storyline quests the rest has not been a problem.

I've played a fair few mmo's and i know where you are coming from.
None of the MMO's have grabbed me long time ever but TR while fun is one of the few i play for a bit then don't log in for a week or 2 then play a bit and repeat. I played WoW to a lvl 60 then stopped got the add on and never liked it when i went back to it. EQ2 i have a lvl 70 got the last add on and have oncve again struggled to play again. COH/COV i only managed low lvl toons but it is something i would like to play more but just doesn't seem to grab me.
Now on TR i have a lvl 17 and a clone at 15. When i play it i love it, but i don't miss it when i stop or don't log in for a day or 2 unlike WoW or EQ2 when i was levelling up and would look forward to playing an hour or 2 most nights. For me no MMO has ever held my attention when i reach the level cap and i then struggle to come back when stuff gets added and i think TR will have the same problem but even more so when it only has a lvl 50 cap that isn't hard to reach.

I used my 1st clone at 14.9 and that gave me a Commando and a Ranger. I then completed my ToO with my level 15 in the wilderness. I went from level 15-17 doing the outstanding missions and the instances all solo and got another clone credit so now have 2 for hitting level 30, giving me the option of spy and sniper.
I shall also be doing the same with my commando except i need to do all of the ToO but seems to be worth it xp wise anyways.

I enjoy his attitude, sure it stinks but he does stick it up em regardless.
One thing that really gets a lot of people, is if his games were done properly they could just be the holy grail of space combat games we all want, instead we see a great idea ruined by a mad UI and some over complicated ideas. If it was just another FPS we would all ignore the games or him but it's in that category of games we wish there were more of and were as great as we want.

I mostly plan to play this solo, is it still worth playing it online rather than offline as it seems more likely that patches and fixes will filter through online much quicker than offline?
The online game will definitely be patched quicker than the SP one. And keep in mind that you have NO multiplayer options period if you go SP, so if you're at all interested in playing MP at any time, go play on the MP game. Yeah, there's a slight bit of lag, but it really doesn't affect much. And yes, the quirky banter (especially the insane fool at the beginning hub) has been removed. I thought it was an immersion killer anyway, so I'm glad it's gone. OK thanks for that, will do multi think, So far i have tried Guardian and Marksman and prefer Marksman atm but not too far in.

Reemul, can you comment on how extensive/necessary the UK manual is? I preordered through Gogamer but they've delayed my order until the end of this week and it looks like the UK version can be bought through digital distribution now so I might just go ahead and go that route if the manual isn't that important.
When you install the game it installs a PDF version of the manual as well, so i assume you can access that rather than need a paper version, also if not i can always supply the pdf version to anyone that needs it. It isn't a must have but it's not a bad manual weighing in at 80 pages long.

Yeah got the hotfix and made no difference. It seems on the offical forums it's only Vista that has the issues we are seeing. I have had Vista for a while now and had absolutely no issues with any games up till now. Very frustrating this morning i played for 30 minutes and had 5 crashes. I even ran full defrag , virus scan, played with Nod32 turned off, ran CCleaner etc and recleaned my system up. From the offical forums it seems to be a memory issue but for me crashes at random for lots of different things rather than one or 2 things over and over.

jersoc, I don't think he was attacking how easy the game is, just the apparent simplicity of it's gameplay and similarity to other rhythm games.
True but he's way off base either way. The controller is the game really, this game and all the other versions would never have sold well if you had to use a normal controller.

Reviews from Europe Joystick review 9/10 + Megastar award “Forget everything you know about RPG’s. Intense and deep…The Witcher is the new reference for RPG’s” PC Jeux review 90% + ‘Hit PC Jeux’ award A couple of my thoughts are below, posted elsewhere and copied over because i am feeling lazy. I picked it up today(released in the uk already). Patched it to version 1.1 but i'm still getting random crashes and with the long load times it is a bit of a pain in the ass. Loving the game though, looks good, i like the mechanic behind it and the storyline is enjoyable. I also like the art, Geralt and his companions actually look like hard bastards that would kick yours and anyone else's ass rather than a wimp with a sword who would faint at the site of blood. I also like the CGI cut scenes and freely admit to watching the intro a fair few times as well. The gameplay is good, the fight mechanic is different, click once to start attacking then you need to time your click to increase the damage and do more hits. I love the finishing moves, from choppping them across the middle to decapatation. Not gone on to the magic side of it too much yet as normally i prefer just hitting stuff with a big sword. Graphically it looks good on high setting and seems to run really well. Th espeech and vocies are fine, nothing cringe worthy yet either. Personally i'm loving this, hence getting up at 8am to post and play a bit on a sunday morning I would recommended it highly apart from the never ending crashes that Vista seems to give. On the latest patch with drivers and all the things recommended fixes and still crashes every 15 mins or so which = constant saving. Hopefully they will sort something out soon
