There is always going to be issues. Under 1% is excellent, sure it sucks for those involved but there needs to be some realism around it rather than an excuse to bitch at Sony.

For anyone who didn't bother to click the link: Canuck's post is a joke. Tongue

In other news, the guy who posted about getting the Xbox One early (and got console banned immediately after) revealed that he had to fully load a game that was in standby mode after 20 minutes, using a bunch of other apps in the meantime. That kind of defeats the point of the standby mode, in my opinion. I hope the PS4 implementation works better than that.

Edit: Note that this is in no way an official confirmation. It could be a misread of the guy's tweet, or some other kind of misunderstanding.

The gut that has an Xbone early doesn't have the day 1 patch.    The box is supposed to be almost unplayable without it.

Continuing your Xbone negative shit mongering I see.

Now that's fanboism in it's finest. I just can't wait for release days and all the pathetic console rivalries and attitude. it will be like all the mature posters turning in to 12 year old boys with stiffies they can't get rid of

What about Lloris getting knocked out and staying in the game? That would no longer be acceptable in the US.

Regardless of safety concerns, not sure why you would leave in the game when he must have had a splitting headache. Can't be good for a goalies reactions.

He got a standing ovation after the game, while I understand it, it's a bit silly. The Brits will come around eventually on the safety concerns.

I will say this again, it was not a Brit, it was that idiot Portuguese manager that kept him on. Absolute stupidity.

I was going to tell you basically the same thing as Wonderpug.  For DSLR its either Canon or Nikon.  Theres a great selection of lenses for either one and they are priced well.  If you choose Canon look into getting the Canon EF 50mm f/1.8,  its a fast and very clean lens that runs around $100.  You can get great portrait pics with it and the price is unbeatable.
I have a canon set up myself and love it.

This is everything that is wrong with photography these days. DSLR is not always where its at now or just Canon or Nikon.

You have CSC, cameras now, compact system cameras that are half the size of dslrs but with the same size sensors so picture quality is as good.

You have point and shoots with massive sensors that take slr quality pics as well.

Sony, Samsung, Panasonic and Olympus are the go to for these. Nikon and Canon have not managed anything decent in these.

The main thing with a camera is you use it, bring it with you as much as possible. Slrs are big and a large portion of people end up leaving them at home becUse of size and weight.

If all you are going to use is the lense that comes with the camera, kit lense then you also miss out the best slrs have to offer, apprently 90% of dslr users only have the kit lense.

I will point you to a topic on Octopus Overlords that is all about photography that is really worth a look at and can help with choice.

Personally i would go in a camera-shop or two and try some out, its all about feel and weight, comfort and finger grip and spacing and really how it feels.

Saying Nikon or Canon is like saying when buying a car get a Ford or GMC as if the is nothing else out there. There is a massive choice to fit need and the quality of some of the stuff out there is amazing.

To add i use a Sony Nex 7, myndext step will hopefully be the Nex A7 which will have a full frame sensor.

To add cost varies greatly but for $300 you should be able to get something decent. It may also depend how
You wish to spend, the more you spend the better choice you will have.

I think I'm about 5 now.  getting in hasn't been a problem for me, getting good jobs going has.

Spent 4 hours today trying to get in from the UK, never managed to get to the first race, tried solo, crew and all the other ones, tried changing my broadband connection among other things and sod al. It sucks l

Really? I guess when you walk onto the pitch and take the abuse from the fans, you know the end is near. Chairmen pull the trigger too quick.

That is not what i meant. Normally when things go bad senior management normally give them time especially new managers who have a different or new vision. Normally they have 2 or 3 games more before the chop. However as they have Liverpool and then Man Utd maybe the thinking was we could lose those anyways so we have a few weeks to get things in place.

Also 14 new players was way too many in 1 go.

Trying to hold out for the PC version.... but man, I'm honestly shocked how good these pics look on the current gen systems. Makes me giddy for the PC or next gen versions.

Don't feel too bad waiting for the PC version.  You can definitely see many areas where they had to cut back on the console versions.  Object pop-in, low res textures, terrible aliasing's nowhere near as good looking while playing as the videos and screenshots make it seem.  Just running on PC at higher res with more memory should do wonders for it.

Well if you are a graphic whore maybe. The game is amazing and looks superb. I mean shit pretty much any game you play if you sit there anally looking for all this shit sure. In photography we call it pixel peeping.

Just enjoy the game and stop looking for issues, it sure wont improve your enjoyment of it at all.

Any impressions of the PS3 version? I had issues with GTA4s framerate and crappy aiming while on PS4.

The reports indicate that there is a small difference in shadow and foliage quality between the two versions, with the 360 coming out on top. However, the difference is microscopic compared to what we saw in GTA 4, and the framerate is identical between the two consoles.

Actually this is incorrect. The digital foundry comparison says the PS3 version is the one to get re image quality, apprently the textures on roads and foilage etc is blurry on the 360 and crystal on the PS3.

Link here

I am still getting the 360 version.

While Ozil is agreat player and signing Arsenal are just way too light on numbers. A fcew injuries and they are pretty screwed. No higher than 4th and could even be a battle for 4th with Liverpool and Arsenal.

Well us Brits said no and that really is how the majority feel. We definitely want some form of punishment for the use of chemical weapons however the always us seems to have run its course.

There are many nations in the world and many who could step up and deal with it yet they don't. It seems the US feel they have to when they don't, where is the rest of the world in this.

It is about time other nations of the world got involved in these issues.

A slice of cheese on each side of the meat helps to glue everything in place. I put the red onion on the bottom, where it won't slide around as much, and the tomato and condiments on the top (for no particular reason).

A slice of cheese spoils the taste, cheese on toast not on meat. Even worse if its that cheap crappy cheese.

Another must is a toasted bun nothing worse than a soggy bun.

Been over 30 degrees for 5 days running in the uk, last time it did this was 2006. While not really really hot we aren't set up for this sort of weather. My house is all set for cold weather with cavity wall insulation, double glazing etc but now it's like a furnace. Good sleep has been impossible for the last week and no sign of it letting up.

At present I am sitting by the patio doors and it's roasting out there and in here. Still makes for great weekends with the kids, we have a big family garden party here on Saturday, about 40 of us playing games, sport, barbecue etc.

How anyone can say Con Air is not that great a movie is nuts, any film you cant pass up when on late night tv is a classic. Oscar material no, great entertainment, definitely and what more could we ask for.

While I agree i still wonder what people were expecting, generally summer movies are not oscar material or high art or anything else.

Generally i dont go to the cinema to watch them as thats what they are, i went fully prepared for what it was going to be and got what i expected.

Maybe the Batman trilogy spoilt people and they were expecting something similar.

This is awesome and sums up so many of the thoughts I was having while watching the movie.  So much of it didn't make sense!

Good god, yes.  That hits so many nails on the head, but this bit in particular is the biggest issue with this reboot:

Zod:...“Dark and tortured” and “Superman” never belong in the same sentence, unless that sentence is “Superman met his dark and tortured friend Batman for coffee.”

Superman: That’s not fair! People love Batman, and he’s dark and tortured. So why is it bad for me to do the same thing?

Zod: Because that’s the exact antithesis to what Superman is supposed to be. He’s supposed to be better than us, to inspire us, to not make the same stupid mistakes humans do. He’s supposed to have every reason to be dark and tortured, given his origin and the evil he’s seen, but he never loses his hope and optimism — not just for himself, but for the entire human race!

Also, it brought up another thing that occurred to me:

Spoiler for Hiden:
The solution to the villain plot is literally deus ex machina.  God in the machine.  The god-like Kryptonian who is an AI in the ship gives the way to defeat Zod to the human.

Its no wonder you didnt enjoy it if all that stuff is going through your mind, normally i sit down with a note pad jotting down all my thoughts, pulling the film apart etc etc, rdeally adds to my enjoyment  drool

Um, I'm not trying to think of anything while I'm watching a movie, the movies job is to make sure I'm NOT thinking - "what?  why the hell wouldn't Clark just go get the dog?"  "whoa!  Shouldn't Supes be thinking of the people in that building he just knocked over?"  When someone says something really dumb to you, are you able to just turn off the part of you that realizes that what was said was dumb?

Of course, I mean it's an alien flying round in a suit.
