Only one NA server.

Everything is done with user ID rather than character name.

@redfive if you need an invite.  Several others can invite as well.
2  Gaming / Multiplayer Madness (MMO or otherwise) / Re: Elder Scrolls Online on: April 07, 2014, 08:04:46 PM
I'm pretty sure you can pick it or at least view it any time.  Hit 'L' or choose the Alliance war icon and there is a button to push to view/select campaigns.

The game gives you an in game notification when you hit 10 about PvP as well.

I would be down with an ESO forum at The Wanderers.  I *think* everyone or mostly everyone in our guild right now posts or has posted at The Wanderers in the past.

Would keep from having to check three sites for guild news.
3  Gaming / Multiplayer Madness (MMO or otherwise) / Re: Elder Scrolls Online on: April 07, 2014, 06:41:25 PM
There are several campaigns for PvP.  It's the way they manage population with one megaserver.

We are unofficially (or officially I guess--I missed the boat slywink ) choosing the Dawnbreaker campaign so we all have the same home campaign.

If you've chosen another you can still guest on Dawnbreaker and then switch once you've accumulated 15k alliance points.

Harkonis I hope you don't mind--I posted your mumble server info. over at the Wanderers since there seems to be posting activity for our guild at three sites (here, OO, The Wanderers)
4  Gaming / Multiplayer Madness (MMO or otherwise) / Re: Elder Scrolls Online on: April 01, 2014, 12:35:24 AM
Do you guys have a guild started yet?

We created one with OO yesterday, Ebonheart Pact Alliance.

Not sure what the feelings would be here, but I'm pretty certain anyone would be welcome, in the interest of more people playing together.

You can also be a member of 5 guilds.

id name is @Redfive  please feel free to add me.  I'm definitely interested in PvP at some point as well as PvE.

I feel pretty certain (without knowing one bit) that if there was and actual need to speak to people in orbit regularly that it would be a simple matter.  I can call someone on the other side of the world with my phone if I wanted.

Also, I never saw Kirk playing Angry Birds on his communicator.

Of course tri-corders are a different story--though I bet we'll get something very similar to that tech well before 200+ years from now
6  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: Cool future technologies that have come true on: August 30, 2013, 01:49:02 PM
I find it interesting how much more advanced our cell phones are now than the communicators they used on Star Trek ToS

Had a lot of fun tonight with Hark, msteelers, and Hadron Smasher.  Sorry for the abrupt departure...xbox locked up hard..first time that's ever happened.

Will be back tomorrow night for sure.

I'll be on later this evening..plan to play for quite awhile.  Feel free to msg me or join a game.  Wonderpug sorry couldn't accept your invite..was just getting a quick round in before logging for a little bit.

I'd like to do those unlocks as well..and turns out I'm not that bad flying the helo (was an ace in BF 2 but that was mouse / keyboard).

So how do I attach an xboxlive ID to my ea account? ( I know I'm an idiot.)

No, not so much.  I can't figure it out either.  Even if I follow the step by step directions on Origin, it tells me to click buttons / drop downs that aren't even there...

I *think* you are supposed to go into your account settings where allegedly they allow you to link your Gamertag to you Origin account...this is where the wheels fell off for me.

I was under the impression that I could only join the platoon through Battlelog.  I have to admit though, I haven't read the whole thread.

I'm juggling between trying to get Battlelog access (I really hope this is an Origin issue because this is making feel like a complete n00b), confirming that the servers are, in fact, down right now, and finding some friends to play with.
15  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Battlefield 3 on: October 27, 2011, 11:18:05 PM
Sure would like to join...been playing for two days and still can't log onto Battlelog.  Worst part is I can't tell if I'm being a dumbass and doing something wrong or if it's Origin's issue.  It just says 'Account is not allowed to login'

Cool pics... I loved you in School of Rock by the way--definitely your best effort.

The difference in number of employees (assuming the Bioware # is still correct) astounds me.

I guess I had no idea how many employees it took to maintain a fully operational MMO.

I don't have the energy to photoshop a horde insignia on top of the Death Star

I have a few thousand cards to I'd like to get rid of.  They are all at least ten years old though.

Online game is great though I tried it in beta for the current set a few months ago and leagues were broken.  Leagues are outstanding so if they are fixed in the current version I would highly suggest you give it a shot.

Well worth the $10 even if it's limited.  About 8 players into the campaign and haven't lost yet against the Plainswalker AI.

And here I thought this was going to be about the opening 'area' in either BG1 or 2. biggrin

I could never get into the first Baldurs Gate because I kept getting my arse handed to me in the beginning, and BG 2 took about a year of aborted attempts to finally click with me (pretty much once I got passed the opening area), so I'm guessing you're both right.

I was the reverse.  I got all the way to the end, and couldn't win the final fight.  By the time I got there, I was in no mood to go back to some other area and level up more, so I just stopped playing.

This was me.  Got all the way to the end and the final fight beat me down.

Well you have to take into account they we are still paying roughly the same amount we payed for games 15-20 years ago while the cost to produce them has gone up for the most part so something had to give.

I would argue that we were being overcharged then  icon_smile

Thanks

How does ToV run compared to vanilla CoH?  I don't suppose there were any engine changes or such?  I'm thinking of having my Dad pick this up with me but I'm not sure his rig would handle it were it any stouter than CoH.

Hell you can probably pick up both 2142 and BF 2 for around $40.  That should keep you busy.

nother note on 2142:  They never really did iron out some of the performace issues, especially when inside one of the capitol ships.

I just picked up and am installing the BF2 complete collection in the background.  I paid $30 for it.

I tried reinstalling my original BF2 the other day but I only have the disk and the CD key must be in a box in the garage.  I figure it was worth the $30 to get access to the whole collection and BF2 has always been one of my favorite games of all time.

This game seems cool, I just wish I could get it to run without crashing frown

I have the same problems, sometimes it causes my system to do a memory dump and restart.  Error message flashes up about an IRQ number being less than.... (I don't have time to read the rest).  There are times I've played for a few hours without a crash but yesterday I got maybe 10 minutes in before it dumped.

Meh.  I use F5 for quicksave to save my games and I've been doing it often so as not to lose too much progress.  This time it crashed on me while I was saving so my save file is corrupt and the last auto save was an hour or two earlier in the game.

I have too many games and too little time for this.  Bummer too because this game looks to be very cool.
