Okay, bought the game, and tried it..eh....

I have no clue whats going on! no manual, no tutorial, no nothing... Am I supposed to swing and then somehow use another rope to go higher? I cant seem to make a rope, unless I'm on ground/plants... and whats that thing I have to find on the first level? and how is it hidden? And how do I Unhide it?

I'm flabbergasted!!

loved the game, and would like another like it, just like the OP stated... Also, I seem to remember that the tech text was actually always accompanied by some speak, right? With someone who sounded a lot like Morgan Freeman?

awesome!  Although I do have to say that, in part where Dumbledore is fighting the Inferi, he looks alot like Gandalf.

they are cousins, trice removed..

anyways, love the movies, and the books, although, I couldnt get through the 6th one, so, I'm excited about this movie - first one where I DONT know what's going to happen

That being said.... They basically say, they are working on making the game a full game soon, right?

anyways, I'll probably try this out again in 4-6 months

eh, Batman did say he'd save "Rachell", but how the hell did the Joker know who Batman was, to orchestra something like the reversal of the adresses???
7772  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: First review of 'The Dark Knight' on: July 30, 2008, 09:42:00 AM
soooo...went to see this movie last night, and...well, it was good, not the incredible, awesome, over-the-top-experience some have stated it to be, but it was good nonetheless :-)

Heath Ledger was a brilliant joker, and (besides the obvious that I lament any persons drug-induced death) a bit sad, that we wont see this again from him... he was just so..different and disturbing, that he carried the movie a lot.

Batman was...well, not the main person in this movie, not even secondary main person, as I saw it, and wasnt that strong as a character either. He actually struck me as a a bit sad this time, the characters eh, character...much more of a "normal vigilante person" than in any of the other movies I've seen with him.

And i really didnt understand half the explosions, or why they were there...for instance,

Spoiler for Hiden:
Batman on his motorcycle after the crashed, blows up a lot of cars...why? and how did he know they werent peopled? and why are there empty cars in an underground tunnel??

Harvey was great as well, although, the ..ahem

Spoiler for Hiden:
Turning him into a bad guy was a liiitle bit too easy in my opinion...just claim "I didnt do it, they are evil, was a bit on the light side

anyways, good summer movie, decent, but not making film history

this however, doesnt seem to be it...

7776  Gaming / Multiplayer Madness (MMO or otherwise) / [Vanguard] How many actually play/make a guild? on: July 29, 2008, 03:10:50 PM
So, how many actually play this game right now?

As of right now, there isnt a OO/GT guild, but, seeing how many people seems to play, if we could just get 6 people online at the same time, we can make a guild easily

oh, and remember, join the GT channel by typing /join GT and we can find eachother easily in that channel :-)
7777  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: Getting wisdom tooth pulled- any words of wisdom? on: July 29, 2008, 01:39:49 PM
Disarm - could you please space your text a bit..I Get a headache from trying to read that :-)

Other than that - we still need to know if its in the upper or lower jaw the OP's op is going to take place...i.e. will it go smoothly, or will he be suffering like hell ;-)

they had a story?

Soul Reaver!  Heh, yeah, the series are *quite* different.

It seems to be a national thing - in the us, Mamma Mia hasnt done that well, whereas in the UK its the number one box office hit so far...4,5 million pounds so far.

Americans are...generally speaking, hollywood fixated, movie-wise, and mamma mia smells very european I suspect, thus not generating that much interest.

thats my take on it, anyways

Not to mention the fact that ABBA sucks.

thats one opinion, certainly - but the pure cold fact is, that ABBA's music spoke to millions of people, and they were, at their time, one of the top bands ever to make music....

People STILL like their music, enough to make a movie like this succesfull (or semi in the states, if you count a third place semi-succesfull), and enough to have a LOT of people still go see the musical this movie is based upon...

Full anesthetic.???? for a wisdomtooth removal?? ookay, well, I've never heard of that before - In denmark its just local anesthetic, goodbye tooth, and you'r good to go home... no trouble whatsoever..

of course, you've just had minor surgery, so common sense is to be observed...

Btw, beware if its in the lower jaw - the lower part of your jawbone has to as strong as the entire upper part of your skull, making it a bitch at times, and it may hold on pretty well to your tooth. Anyways, that should be caught by any decent dentist.
7787  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Soul Caliber IV - Are you buying it? on: July 28, 2008, 06:25:36 PM
We gamers are a funny sort-a-bunch... others (non-gamers) may see our games as totally unrealistic, but we dont, since we understand the world they are coming from, and THAT is why Yoda and DV doesnt make sense like this....

its kinda ruins the immersion...

One thing I wish with this game (along with Conan) - every race can't be every class. I SO loved that with EQ2. It really needs to be the standard nowadays.

And it's interesting - while playing EQ2 the other day, the conversation somehow diverged to Vanguard - a lot of people said that Vanguard has the best combat system out of all the MMOs today.

I dont understand what you are saying - in Vanguard every race CAN'T be every class...as it CAN'T be in EQ2, and in Conan as well...

you'r probably thinking of the Disciple - the melee oriented healer - he uses the same basic attack style (martial arts) as the monk

As for secondary, he's actually a damn good healer, while also able to punish foes incredibly...

eh...Darth Vader?? Yoda??? WTF??

Didnt Soul Caliber games use to be rather cool japanese style games, with a great story, or am I confusing them with something else??

anyways, looks boring pure fight-till-one-drops-like, with 10 gazillion ways to do things, and in the end, you can just crouch and hit someone and they die...

and..eh. DARTH VADER? YODA??? WTF??!

now, granted, I dont know much about nuclear plants or anything, anything more than, I guess, most of the other semi-educated unwashed masses....but, seemingly they should be extremely safe, but...hastn there been quite enough nuclear plants accidents since they were first built, with somewhat serious results?

As for the stalker game, well...that actually happened in russia not so many years ago ;-)

Thanks all!! smile

Sooo....you want Elite in extreme? hell, you and me both! ;-) but actually...I dont think that game exists. perhaps Eve can rock your boat a little, but, didnt do it for me, but thats a bit close to what you want...

Heagemonia, Iron Legion...thats what you'r looking for...

and the other games in that series, cant remember the names right now...

IMPERIUM GALACTICA! one and two! thats exactly what your looking for - you start out with one small fleet, some basic tech, and then you get to command larger and larger ones...
