Well...we are an extremely hardcore guild - we expect people to be level 100 or at least reach it within a week at least..and we...eh..sorry, not true ;-)

Of course you can...the guild isnt done yet though, but, I'll get a hold on you as soon as I can in-game!!

New RP-PvE Ruleset available on first server

With the launch of Age of Conan in Europe we introduce another ruleset which has been requested by many players for quite some time now: RP-PvE.

The first server available of that ruleset is Hyrkania (European English region). We will keep an eye out for that server to see how many players actually are interested and will consider more servers if needed.

Here's some more grist for the rumor mill - PC Gamer is promising a top-secret cover story next month that's "so huge we had to go to [CENSORED] to get it".  People are speculating that the censored bit is "hell", meaning it's Diablo 3.  Of course, their last big exclusive turned out to be nothing, so this is could end up being the same.

So, having had a lot of troubles with my Age of Conan account, I wrote funcom about it, from their own account area.

9 days later - "Its not our area, you have to write to " another funcom division..

nice, so I did that, and got an answer 2 days later...about one full page of standard answer, that had nothing to do at all with my trouble.

so, I wrote that back to them, 4 days ago...and..nada! nothing...nothing at all has happened yet...

I've tried this before, and the only time I've EVER had a meaningfull response, was with World of Warcraft..Blizzard is, in all ways, a company that takes itself and its reputation seriously...

But other than that - has anyone EVER had Consumer service that actually was worth a damn?

It's pretty easy to travel from one starting city to another, doesnt cost a thing, and you just find a dock guy to take you there.

So - after having some virus attacks a while ago,which I beat with threadfire, I know find myself in the curious situation of having NO joblist anymore...

Also, once in a while, windows asks to be startet in "repair mode" after a restart, but, when I select the option, nothing happens, andI have to just start windows normally

Interesting- Here in Denmark we've only gotten to the semi finals, with about 3 weeks I think till the big showdown...even so, every major newspaper published today the winner of AI2008... makes the rest of the show a bit...boring to watch IMO...

after much consideration, I'll start on a PvE server - just need to find an RP-themed one. I.e. the unofficial PvE-RP server in europe - unfortunately, Funcom has in its wisdom decided that I CANT visit the damn forums, until I have the key for the retail version...very very strange. People arent allowed to see what others write about the game, before they bought it themselves?

I got it as well, and wasnt in closed, only open beta... but have the CE bought as well, although..eh..they can't know that, since, well, I havent gotten the box or the code yet :-D

It's a well known fact in europe, that Americans dont understand things as well as Europeans, as can easily be seen by how they take european movies and run them through hollywood filters...so, why not do the same to games...

We're just not at the same level it seems ;-)

I have the CE as well, or rather, will friday when this game comes out in Denmark then. I'll be happy to distribute any buddy keys there might be in it to the GT crowd then :-)

So far it's been what I expected, which is to say great fun!

It makes exploring much more interesting, and since I've gone in with the mindset that ganking WILL happen, I've had no problems when it did. I've been ganked 2-3 times, but I've managed to get sweet revenge in two cases, and in most cases people seem to have a reasonable set of ethical values in terms of who they attack and why.

It's just the only way I can see myself playing - at least for now.

Are you soloing or running with a group?

I'm soloing for now - until the official release where I'll be joined by the GF and a few friends hopefully.

On the PC front, I feel like I want to nominate something from Thief but it's been so long I can't think of a particular dungeon.

If it counts as having dungeons, I'll nominate System Shock 2.  Still the king as far as invoking tension, fear, and a deep feeling of isolation.
