How is that even possible? Isn't there records you are supposed to have, birth certificates, birth registrations, personal ID numbers and so on?

In Denmark, each citizen has a unique number we receive at birth to identify us throughout our entire life.

I love both Bad Boys movies - They run frequently on various channels here in Denmark and I always leave them on. Great chemistry between the actors and a ton of fun dialogue. Good stuff!

So yeah, someone really want a BB3 :-)

167  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Xbox One Discussion on: December 11, 2013, 08:25:37 AM
Well, they do make the decision rather easy then. I think a lot of that has to do with all the extra content besides being a gaming console it has to be able to do. The Xbxo360 never really good any of those features launched in Denmark at least, and I'm pretty sure that is the issue here as well.
168  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: 2920 Days until launch. Which system are you getting? on: December 09, 2013, 01:42:43 PM
I think what most of us are arguing is that it just serves absolutely no purpose to be "calling someone out" at this point, or at all. It just furthers the aggravation.

In terms of soccer "Go for the ball, not the man". It would be a lot easier for everyone if we just discussed the issues, and not post histories, persons or anything like that.

I see why this in R&P now. On my FB feed there is a thread from a fundamentalist Christian friend of mine about how Mandela was a terrorist and that "Our Dear Leader" president is scum for praising him. Lots of likes and comments of agreement.

I am sure most of those actually have no idea what really happened back in the 70's in South Africa, nor care.

172  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: [movie] The Chronicles Of Narnia: The Silver Chair on: December 06, 2013, 09:14:48 PM
Unfortunately, I kinda agree. The first movie was rather magical (to me), but the second and third one was lackluster at best. Its a shame because there's tons of good material in the books, but unfortunately, that gets eaten up by special effects and dumping down content to lowest common denominator so often.

I'm surprised too. I never bothered to watch any of the sequels. Lame-ass fantasy series.

I don't understand this kind of posting - you don't see me coming into the Nymphomania movie thread and shitting over that, do you? Even though I have strong feelings in that area, I respect that others enjoy and look forward to his movies. Please do the same here.

Sorry, but no. That's my honest opinion of the Chronicles series. You don't get to dictate what opinions are posted on these boards.

My sincerest apologies - I misread your post at first and reacted badly to it, thinking you never even saw the first one, which I see now was implicit in your sentence. Of course you are entitled to your opinion (Even if its wrong ;-) )

Anyways -sorry for misunderstanding and reacting poorly!

He did more for peace and the world than most others I can think of, and with great personal risk added to it . It will be interesting to see what will happen in South Africa now, since he's been a very stabilizing factor in the region.

Rest in Peace, Mr. Mandela.

The first movie in this series was very, very good. Its a childrens book / Young adult book, so take that into consideration, but the pan-flute moment was pure magic - so well done, with great actors.

AHAHAHAGHAHA.... They can't be serious, can they? They are trying to remake Gladiator, realized it was too early, and slapped the Pompeii name on it instead, and set the movie in the backdrop of that disaster.

Wow - that is hilariously bad. Its also somewhat telling that it released in February.

So sad! I loved his movies, especially Running Scared which is my favorite movie with him.

He was also a guy who really tried to make a difference in the world, which is more than most of us have the time / inclination to do in our everyday lives.

Rest in Peace, Mr. Walker.
180  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: Joe Abercrombie's First Law Trilogy on: December 02, 2013, 08:45:03 AM
There is a lot of potential for movies here, but it also depends on the actors I think. His books are based on strong characterizations and it takes strong actors to push that through.

I love pretty much all his books, and mostly for his memorable characters. Glotka of course comes to mind as someone who is REALLY well done. I also really like how the characters are used throughout all his books, both as major and minor characters, and sometimes from others viewpoints. Interesting stuff. Heroes springs to mind here, as one of his strongest books I think. So damn great.

Yeah, I've always found it interesting that the studio that designed the original Test Drive games ended up creating the Need for Speed franchise, which ended up being a rival franchise. The original 3D0 version of Need for Speed was a lot of fun.

EA Canada used to be Distinctive Software and made the Test Drive series as well - awesome times!

Aha - I was just curious because the last time I tried to make a giveaway thread, I made the same argument (I wanted as many people to have the chance as well as possible), but my thread was forcibly removed and much discussion ensued, in which I was rather disappointed. I'm still sore from that whole experience and was just curious.

This probably doesn't help the XBox's chances in Europe.

Quote
The Xbox One's TV integration suffers noticeable judder in the UK, tests have revealed.

Website HDTVTest.co.uk first flagged up the problem, which occurs when you run a live TV feed from your set-top box, such as a Freeview HD, Sky or Virgin Media box, into Microsoft's console using the HDMI-in port.

The UK and Europe use a 50Hz broadcasting system. The Xbox One outputs at 60Hz, so if you feed it a 50Hz HDMI source, one out of every six frames will be a duplicate, causing judder.

Since they already have put out at least one console in Europe previously, I'm pretty sure they know about this. As whenever Sony or other TV makers sell their products in Europe, they don't suddenly forget we use PAL where others use NTSC for instance. It'll be fine I'm sure.

If you want something damaging to MS when they do decided to release here in the Nordic countries, it will most probably be that pretty much none of their apps or their extra content has any use here. I'll be happy to be proven wrong, but...I'm rather sure I'm not.

I'm unsure whether it will release on Xbox at that time as well.
190  Gaming / Multiplayer Madness (MMO or otherwise) / Re: LotRO: Helm's Deep on: November 23, 2013, 03:12:36 PM
Don't buy this. The Big Battles are insanely boring, and just consists of you running from one end of the map to the other, clicking on people. Thats it. Its just reskinned skirmises, but without you do combat in them. There is no new armor, no new anything other than an area to quest in. Of course, quests by now consists of doing grinds, fed-ex's or kill X of some monsters in LOTRO expansions.

The updates from Turbine are getting worse and worse, I'm afraid. The landscape content is...not good right now. Pretty much every single class can wade through it without breaking a sweat by now.

There is an ugly rumor right now about Ryse featuring a lot of Microtransactions in-game. Crimson Dragon apparently also features this. I can't view this video review myself due to video not working on this computer, but apparently he reviews Ryse and tells about these Microtransactions. (http://n4g.com/news/1397497/xbox-one-review-adam-sessler-reviews).

Anyone have any idea if this is true? I really don't want my console games to have this crap as well, especially not after I purchase games for full price. I know this is a completely different discussion, but I feel the industry is going in a direction I really don't want, with microtransactions, and in-game purchases for real money, even in full-price games. It started with MMO's (Or rather, Horse armor from Bethesda), and it should stay there, and no creep into my single player games.
