We are working on our next feature item - it'll push this interview off the front page.  I just don't know what else to say other than how frustrating this is...

Well, perhaps take note of the reactions you are getting? It all depends on the audience you want of course.

As for it being industry news, I must admit its not something I've seen on any site that I follow.

Lastly, again, the Porn industry really isn't something I'd like to support in any way.

124  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: 38 Studios/Big Huge Games Problems on: December 16, 2013, 08:38:00 PM
Besides being fantasy its one of the least clicheed games I played of its type. Gnomes trying to create clones to cheat death, you being able to alter fate and destroy it , immortal faeries which recreates their legendary stories every day, over and over, and so on, being divided between Summer & Winter Court and so on. Really, if its guilty of anything, its trying to go beyond the tired stereotypes we see in pretty much every other single player MMO out there. It had a huge Jack Vance feel to it, and he certainly wrote stories that were more fairytale than fantasy, and thats what much of this tried to do.

Yeah, someone else mentioned this to me as well about Titanfall. My only hope is that my superfast laptop can handle it then :-)

What I mean, is, you`d have to get the XB1 to play next-gen, or you could play it on your 360.

Also, relevant link is relevant.

I'm not sure I follow - From Titantfalls website : http://www.titanfall.com/game-info

Titanfall is scheduled for Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC in Spring 2014.

... and your OP (as well as the one I quoted) has you buying a PS4 to play it. biggrin

Yes, and I then wrote I was aware of that fact now, and hoped my PC could run it? You then wrote I had to get an Xbox 360 or Xbox One which is why I was confused.

128  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Games you are looking forward to in 2014? on: December 16, 2013, 10:39:10 AM
I posted this in another forum as well, but thought I'd like to hear from you guys as well.

So, we are nearing the end of the year, and I'm kinda curious what games you are all looking forward too in 2014, since I really know very little of what comes out.

Personally, there is a few games that I really want

Watchdogs (PC/?)- Can't wait for this! My only issue is if I need a console for it, but hopefully by then PS4 is possible to get.
Elder Scrolls (PC!) - I'm an MMO-Whore and I know it. I usually get my monies worth by just exploring and having fun in games like these, especially if there's decent PVP which I hope this haves. This will be on PC
Wasteland (PC) - I havent bought into the kickstarter but this is something I really antiticpate!
Titanfall (PC) - I hope my PC can run it, but otherwise I'll have to get a PS4 for it! Since being utterly disappointed by Battlefield 3 and 4, this is something I hope will be great
Everquest Landmark (PC)  - Anything creative gets gobbled up instantly by me since the idea of creating Homes in games is something I find extremely interesting and an area that is severely lacking.
Elite: Dangerous (PC) - This came out of nowhere and looks utterly, utterly interesting. I'm unsure whether it will come out in 2014 though.

What are your great expectations?
129  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: What are you buying this week? (12/16) on: December 16, 2013, 10:29:34 AM
Nothing for the rest of the year.

I do wonder what 2014 will bring though -I have a ton of unfinished games labelled Beta or Early Access that I have high hopes for. They just take a LONG time to get done.
130  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: OCD. Anyone else here live with this curse? on: December 16, 2013, 10:05:30 AM
Sorry to hear about that, Harpua3 - it does sound exhausting. I don't have anything like that, but have a mother that suffers from severe schizophrenia. Mostly its treatable with medicine, or rather, its possible to make it less severe at times.

Is there no kind of medication that alleviates the issue?

To be honest, I feel the same way as Wonderpug, and its very distressing. I realize that you may not think so, but when several of us has this perception, then no matter what your intent may be, this is the reality some of us perceive. Now, there are several solutions to this, and one of them is us not participating in this discussion anymore I guess. I'll leave the other options up to you.

Interesting that this close to christmas, you find units sitting around in stores. I can tell that in Denmark the PS4 is COMPLETELY sold out, as in people have preordered it like crazy and only half got it on release day.

I am slightly thankful though, even though I enjoy being a firstmover, that others get to handle the headaches of software and hardware issues first. Yes, I try hard to be positive about not having any of these new machines yet! ;-)
134  Non-Gaming / Forum and Site Feedback / Re: Pornhub interview - Random thoughts on: December 13, 2013, 05:32:13 PM
I agree - that felt really weird. The porn industry is an extremely exploitive industry of women, and mainstreaming it by writing humorous articles about it on the front really is a bad idea.

How is that even possible? Isn't there records you are supposed to have, birth certificates, birth registrations, personal ID numbers and so on?

In Denmark, each citizen has a unique number we receive at birth to identify us throughout our entire life.

141  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Xbox One Discussion on: December 11, 2013, 08:25:37 AM
Well, they do make the decision rather easy then. I think a lot of that has to do with all the extra content besides being a gaming console it has to be able to do. The Xbxo360 never really good any of those features launched in Denmark at least, and I'm pretty sure that is the issue here as well.
142  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: 2920 Days until launch. Which system are you getting? on: December 09, 2013, 01:42:43 PM
I think what most of us are arguing is that it just serves absolutely no purpose to be "calling someone out" at this point, or at all. It just furthers the aggravation.

In terms of soccer "Go for the ball, not the man". It would be a lot easier for everyone if we just discussed the issues, and not post histories, persons or anything like that.

Unfortunately, I kinda agree. The first movie was rather magical (to me), but the second and third one was lackluster at best. Its a shame because there's tons of good material in the books, but unfortunately, that gets eaten up by special effects and dumping down content to lowest common denominator so often.

I'm surprised too. I never bothered to watch any of the sequels. Lame-ass fantasy series.

I don't understand this kind of posting - you don't see me coming into the Nymphomania movie thread and shitting over that, do you? Even though I have strong feelings in that area, I respect that others enjoy and look forward to his movies. Please do the same here.

Sorry, but no. That's my honest opinion of the Chronicles series. You don't get to dictate what opinions are posted on these boards.

My sincerest apologies - I misread your post at first and reacted badly to it, thinking you never even saw the first one, which I see now was implicit in your sentence. Of course you are entitled to your opinion (Even if its wrong ;-) )

He did more for peace and the world than most others I can think of, and with great personal risk added to it . It will be interesting to see what will happen in South Africa now, since he's been a very stabilizing factor in the region.

Rest in Peace, Mr. Walker.
154  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: Joe Abercrombie's First Law Trilogy on: December 02, 2013, 08:45:03 AM
There is a lot of potential for movies here, but it also depends on the actors I think. His books are based on strong characterizations and it takes strong actors to push that through.

I love pretty much all his books, and mostly for his memorable characters. Glotka of course comes to mind as someone who is REALLY well done. I also really like how the characters are used throughout all his books, both as major and minor characters, and sometimes from others viewpoints. Interesting stuff. Heroes springs to mind here, as one of his strongest books I think. So damn great.

EA Canada used to be Distinctive Software and made the Test Drive series as well - awesome times!
