I wish you were able to access all the cards that are available in Origins.  There were some amazing cards in decks you fought against that will not be available to you.  One bug that annoyed the crap out of me was when completed and won a game, it stated I was disconnected from the network, and it wouldn't let me reconnect to the network even though I have an internet connection.  I hope they can correct this and continue to make more and more cards available.  I was glad to learn a bit more about each of the planeswalkers in the campaign though. biggrin

So I finished up Knights of Pen & Paper 2 today, and came away fairly disappointed.  The humor was occasionally good and the retro-graphics were neat, but there was nothing terribly engaging about the whole thing.  I never found a crafting recipe other than the initial ones that were provided, and experimenting never came up with anything.  There wasn't really much need to grind, and the only bosses than gave me any sort of trouble were the last two.  There were hardly any options available to improve the game room.  Things were poorly explained in-game, or just not explained at all.  I only found one additional class.

All in all, it felt like a game that was released waaaaaaay too early.  I've heard they pushed the Steam release back to November, and I'd certainly recommend waiting until then.  It's not a terrible game as-is (I still put about 8 hours into it), but it's not one I'd highly recommend either.  C+ grade, if I'm being generous.

So far I am still debating on whether I will finish the game...I can't find extra classes and the game is rather lackluster compared to the first one.

By the way, turning down the foliage effect will greatly help performance.

Going to give that a try!  I just suffered through some of the stuttering but will turn down the foliage effects and see what happens  thumbsup

This is sitting on my wish list...I think I am going to purchase the game and then do a quick-look video review.  Too many other games are currently begging for my attention.

Holy shit.  Welcome back dude!  Haven't seen you around in ages.  thumbsup  Both Fearless Fantasy and KoP&P2 are fantastic iOS games.

I finished the campaign in ESO last night.  I played it like a big single player game that happens to have other people running around, and it's fantastic that way.  I couldn't speak to any of the MMO aspects (PvP, raids, end game content, etc.), but would highly recommend it as a solo PvE campaign.  Probably my favorite ELder Scrolls game, took me about 100 hours to finish.

Good to be back!  I finally have a bit more time to play again and missed interacting with everyone here. I need to find out if Tals and crew are still posting here too biggrin

How in the world do we still not have an iOS version of the HOMM series?

I believe there is one called Pocket Heroes or something like that.  I will have to check out the proper name when I get back home.

3D is the biggest gimmick in my opinion.  I love how Nvidia's drivers screwed up The Witcher 2 performance until you removed the 3D driver.  *sigh*
17  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: iPhone and international traveling on: May 28, 2011, 06:31:32 PM
It depends on where you go.  When I went to Japan, I didn't need to jailbreak my phone.  I was able to purchase a sim card at the airport and use it with my locked phone.   Check with the carriers where you go to see if it works.

The rumors get more absurd as there has been no information leaked on the 5th iPhone.  I do hope they announce something cool during the World Wide Developer's Conference.
19  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Crysis 2 on: March 28, 2011, 08:39:23 AM
Finally beat the single-player campaign.  The game was amazing.  Also, I didn't encounter any of the bugs that were mentioned in this thread (luckily) but one thing that pissed me off was the unskippable splash screens at the beginning of the game!

I just switched over from AT&T to Verizon (Picked up an iPhone) and I have been so much happier.  Their service (both customer and cellular) is much better than what I have had to put up with on AT&T.  Poor Tmobile frown

Vinda-Lou, I think your best bet will be to go to GoG and just pick up a boatload of games from there.  Are you running Windows on there too?

Looking to get $400 for the Nexus S.  It comes with a case, the original box, the phone, and what not.   It is new and rarely used.  I will pay for shipping of the unit to a US location.  I will get a picture up later tonight smile

Also adding in an EVGA 460 GTX OC with 1 gig of vram.  Looking to get $160 shipped for the video card.

I think I need to reinstall them and see if it's different now that I have ATI cards.

From reading various forums it appears the problems are with the latest Fermi based NVIDIA cards (460, 470, etc).  I don't know if Obsidian or NVIDIA needs to patch something in but I hope for a quick resolution.
Yup, I have issues with my 460GTX...ugh frown

character creation is interesting, of course they let you change stuff around to your liking.  I started out in hardcore mode, you can turn it off at any time but there's supposed to be a special reward if you play all the way through with it on.  I also picked the 'Wild Wasteland' trait; it's described here.

thanks for the link...I didn't know what that trait actually does.
