I find it odd that Adv. Warfighter is there. Take it with a grain of salt, but it IS from MS's site. I went there while going to win an xbox360 from the canadian pepsi promo.

UPDATE: They took down that page. Hrmm.

Also, they announced (via an email ) that Xbox.com was changing along with live for yesterday; it seems this is truly the case.

Looks like I got a peek up their skirts.. let's see if it's still in my cache.... I doubt it though; the list was a scrolling animated setup, not static html.

Quite right. I've trusted EuroGamer for a while now and they tend to have similar tastes and opinions as I do. Last time I saw this was at my first and only E3 many moons ago. smile

...and as I recall, you were pretty damned stoked about it.. that and PCSD2 (Pirates of the Caribbean Sea Dogs 2 : The Renaming).

I'm not much for hospital shows, but I'm really liking the characters in this show. I recommend giving that one a chance, if anyone out there is jaded. smile

Aw cripes... we're going to show our faces online? Or did you say feces? (seems more appropriate; no one would notice with all the crap already on the internet).

As to EMERGENCY! what is it? I have never heard of it. Ever. Does someone have a relevant link to both description of the show, movie, etc? How about links to rehabilitation facilities (it may help StarShifter out). biggrin

Wasn't there a problem with the game when you get to the fire-based arena? I played it for a while (got to the 2nd or 3rd map unlock) but had to give the game back.

It's very FF Tactics meets minigame extravaganza. biggrin

Gears of War was never announced as a launch title. I know it looks a-frickin'-mazing though; I'm chomping at the bit for it.

It's because 3 years isn't enough time to sink a PC game. Look at how long it took Daikatana to make us their bitch. slywink

Oh, and Ron, there's a big misconception in the states.. it's European, not "Yer-a-peein' "  :twisted:

If you've ever played the launch the penguin game, this one is a more crude version. (as you can't get perpetual orbits a lot of the time; the border interferes).

First try got me ~2700 (don't remember exactly).

There are screenshots of the 360 controller with a RIM style keyboard on it. I dunno if it was doctored or not.
16789  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / What games do you wish you'd never sold/traded in? on: October 21, 2005, 04:11:33 PM
SCUMM games :
DotT, Sam'n'Max, Full Throttle, All of the Monkey Islands.

These are PC games I miss. I thought I gave away my Wing Commander Prophecy; found it in an old box last week. Woot! I still have all the ultimas (although 8 and 9 could go up in flames at any point and I wouldn't care). Diablo 1 and 2 are gone, and I am sad. The Incredible Machine still taunts me with memories of entertaining bliss. Eye of the Beholder 1 and 2 (3 is NOT missed). Final Fantasy XI was sooo good. I may just end up playing it on Xbox360.

As to consoles, I miss many, many games.

The original Metroid. I have the Zeldas, but I miss the first 3 breath of fires, and Kung Fu Chaos. That game is just so much fun. Dammit.

Final Fantasy 1,6 and 7, Dragon Warrior, Streets of Rage, SMB1, 2, 3, Super Mario World, Mario64, Bionic Commando (damned hard), Panzer Dragoon Orta.

Cripes, I'm filled with regret.  :shock:   :?  :cry:  crybaby

1-9 = 1-9
10 -> 15 = a, b, c, d, e, f

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hexadecimal

Erm. Let's not forget the important character 0.

decimal is from deca (means 10)
hexadecimal is from hex and decimal (6and10 or "16")

smile Normal math (common use) is decimal or Base10. Basically, it means each character is out of a possible 10 combinations. Hex extends it by 6 characters to be a total of 16 values in one character. Since there isn't a common character following, they substitute letters to mean :
0 = zero
1-9 = one to nine
A = ten
B = eleven
C = twelve
D = thirteen
E = fourteen
F = fifteen
There is no sixteenth character; 0 (zero) counts (although it's just a placeholder for null).

Remember grade 4 math, with the "ones" column, the "tens" column, "hundreds" column, etc? This is how it breaks down:

Base10 is 0,1-9  ... so the number 4023 = (4x1000) + (0x100) + (2x10) + (3x1)
Base16 is 0,1-9,A-F ... so the number FB7 = (15x16) + (11x16) + (7x1)

FB7 is the Hex form of 4023. You can doublecheck by running windows calculator, and turning it to scientific. Type in 4023 and then on the left click on the Hex radio button.

or chloroform. slywink

Shortening the separation procedure may also help. You're doing the bath, story and then staying with him until he's asleep. That's a lot of full-time attention and it may be setting the expection contrary to reality. Maybe give him some time between events to be alone and just play (so you'd be starting your process earlier). I'd also suggest trying to put him in bed, give him a loving kiss and telling him goodnight, and then leaving the room and closing the door. He needs to develop the skill of going to sleep on his own.

On the other hand. the games you mentioned would also be cheaper in the future. You can also rent em and be a little more discerning on your purchase. I can tell you Burnout Revenge is really good, but it doesn't feel quite as fun as Burnout 3.

When you talk to her (she's likely to call; I mean, she DID kiss you goodbye)... be into her, but keep the conversation short. Make her want to see you.

Say something like I don't have much time right now Jessica, we'll have to make this quick... that way she feels like she's got to put a bit of herself into the conversation. Don't be afraid to end the call before you get all mushy or get to the "uhm, so howya doiiiin'" lulls. End it on a high note, and be very inviting during the call.

She's going through the EXACT SAME crap, or if she's more practiced she's already figured out what she wants to do.

Good luck LE.. I'd laugh if she turned out to be one of the 12 people responsible for the messages posted under U2K/General. slywink Remember to keep the conversation short, cite busy-ness, and that you'd like to get together. Keep a sense of humour about this, and don't worry if you don't hear from her for a few days. I'd call again 2 days after I left the voicemail... you don't want to be forgotten.
