I just asked my wife to read Pete's response and she has agreed to watch ep1. Just settling down now and will report back in 1hr.  thumbsup

Great success (a la Borat)
She wants to move on to ep2!!!!! Thanks Pete for a well written post. You wrote what we have all been and continue to go through.

If this works we can start using it as a trend where everytime our significant others disagree with something, we get multiple people to put up posts defending our side!

Over the April 9, 2011 weekend, some of our Dragon Age: Origins content servers experienced an as yet unidentified failure. As a result, users began to experience error messages when attempting to access their downloadable content, indicating that the DLC was unauthorized.

We apologize for the inconvenience and are currently investigating and working to resolve the issue on our end. We will update this thread once we know more.
It's ok though since their DRM kept the pirates out all this time....  ninja Kind of glad I didn't pickup DA2 yet....

Was a little puzzled why KPA are carrying M-4s rather than AK-47s or something. I guess the idea is they've either confiscated it from the U.S. or from South Korea.

This was explained in the book and some of the intro videos I think... They had this planned out and started training on US equipment before the invasion and yes, ended up confiscating a lot of US equipment..

Also...
Spoiler for Hiden:
These are supposed to be real, so if the film was left on the moon in a hostile area, how did it get back to earth? It wasn't being transmitted.... At least with BWP, you could see someone stumbling across it in the woods, how many people go for strolls on the moon?

My only issue with the plot -- the part about the Apollo 18 mission never being revealed -- is wouldn't it be just a little hard to cover up a Saturn V rocket launch?  smirk

"Uh, that's nothing! Um, we're launching a satellite! Yeah, that's the ticket..."

I saw the trailer in a big theater before Battle Los Angeles. It sounds grimly fun enough, though I'm not sure why big parasitic alien spiders (or whatever) would want anything with the moon. There's nothing THERE, not even a plentiful enough supply of humans to munch on.  icon_razz

Spoiler for Hiden:
"Uh, that's nothing! Um, we're launching a satellite! Yeah, that's the ticket..."
I think that's the actual answer they gave...
Spiders were about half/quarter "Facehugger" size. They never explained why they were there. They only existing on the dark side of the moon...

Also, a question not too spoilerish I think, but just in case:
Spoiler for Hiden:
There are parts where they go into crater where there is no light, but they do not use a normal flashlight device... They use something that acts like the MiB memory eraser or a camera flash... it flashes for a few seconds and stops... Now I can see why they did this for the movie, but does anyone know if this is an accurate item and if so, why the hell would they use that and not a constant light to see?

The characters are pretty thin, but the cast is solid imho. I would've liked just a bit more detail on why the aliens are slaughtering us. Oil? Gas? Silicone breast implants? There's no explanation at all.  icon_razz

Spoiler for Hiden:
I believe that they mention in the film that they are here for our water.... They even mention that the water levels are dropping rapidly... The reason they are slaughtering us is because they are possibly trying to colonize as welll and we are in the way....

Just finished seeing this.... I was excited going in, not so much coming out.....
Some possible big spoilers
Spoiler for Hiden:
First off, if you have seen the poster, ignore it..... It has just about nothing to do with the movie.... The poster makes it look like like a predator type film.... no..... not even close..... The "monster"? Rocks....Sentient rocks.... ROCKS!!!! WTF?!? Rocks that transform into spider type aliens, but rocks none the less.... Also, I think you see them in about 3 scenes..... This is Blair Witch Paranormal Project in Space... Hell, there is even a scene very much like the ending to the Blair Witch!!! The movie was also VERY slow going...... I kept losing interest in the beginning and even towards the end.... I really liked the idea behind the movie, but the execution? not so much...  I was really looking forward to it and while it wasn't horrible, I am glad I got to see this for free.... Probably not bad for a rental....

If it's dead, then you may be able to get it for about $1,500 through Staples. There is no charge to attempt it and it's through Seagate Recovery Services. If they can't get it back, they don't charge you. If they can only get it partially back, they check with you first.
In the interests of full disclosure, I work for Staples...

However, I am not a Western type of movie watcher (Other than Blazing Saddles) so that probably had something to do with it... I suppose if you like Westerns and enjoy comedy, you may like it better....

Even if he felt he was being honest, Rob knows it would have meant more if he didn't wait until tribal... i say rob splits the votes again... phillip and kristina... one of them goes and kristina may use the idol, leaving her open for the 3rd tribal if she doesnt go...
