Spoiler for Hiden:

Spoiler for Hiden:
As was mentioned Jack is openly Bi and when people bring this up in various episodes, he thinks they are wierd for not being Bi. This is based on his culture where he comes from.

Thanks. I am looking for PC only to use on my Lan. COH is on our list of possibles, GRAW sounds good, but I think we all finished it in SP mode already.
1243  Gaming / Multiplayer Madness (MMO or otherwise) / looking for a list of co-op games on: January 20, 2008, 03:44:21 PM
I'm looking for a list of 3+ player games with co-op preferred.
FPS's and RTS's primarily, plus anything else you think would be interesting.
My friends and I just finished R6 Vegas and are about halfway through SWAT4. We also finished the maps in World in Conflict.

thanks in advance.

1245  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Sooo.... Cloverfield...(Most likely spoilers at some point) on: January 20, 2008, 05:44:05 AM
I'm surprised there is no post about this. What did everyone think?
Overall I was disappointed. There were a few good parts in it, but having shakey cam throughout the movie was a huge mistake I think. This could have been a really good movie and about 80%-90% less shakey cam would be a start. I would have preferred a 4 part movie. 1 part shakey cam and 3 parts regular. All from different vantage points and intermixed maybe.
I also think the beginning was too long and nowhere near enough action.
and forget the ending...bah....
I don't think I would recommend it to anyone, but it will make a bunch of money this weekend. all showings were sold out by me...

Maybe...and I'm stressing maybe....if they got Legendary Entertainment to do the work and got the right actors and screenplay.  There is enough meat on the storyline to justify a movie - my fear is if they say "Let's make Bioshock!" and then don't use the game story but instead invent something new.

It will be something new, but in an effort to appease fans, they promise that there will be water somewhere in the movie....and Big Daddy will be a pimp played by Samuel Jackson...

I believe that turning it on and off everyday will shorten it's life span faster than leaving it on. The little jolt of electricity the PC gets can do damage to it. I leave mine on 24/7 except when I am going away for several days.

Questions:

1) Tals, what is your guild on Ceti?
2) Victoria Raverna, what is the info on the OO guild?
3) Is there a tech/research chart somewhere that shows, build this to get this?

I started on the Alpha and Ceti servers and it's a decent time waster. Ceti is past the trial time, alpha has a day or 2 left. Leaning towards subscribing to both servers, but not possitive yet...
1250  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: Stupid &^$&&% busted pipes! on: January 07, 2008, 11:27:51 PM
Just to show that you don't have it too bad, here's my broken pipe story....

We put our house on the market around June 06. Sometime around Oct 06, after lowering the price a bunch of times we found an interested buyer. Long story short, there were a bunch of delays and we weren't even close to closing until aroun Mid Jan 07. We were waiting for one or two final things only so we decided it was time to start moving. We ended up moving out by Feb. We left the heat on around 60-65. Around mid Feb we still hadn't closed on the house yet. I got a call from my realtor. Public Service had been over to check the meters and called them to say they heard running water. I rushed home and as I pull in, I can hear the water from the driveway. I open the side door and I have a nice waterfall coming down the stairs. I go into the 1st floor apartment and there is water everywhere and still coming through the ceiling. I go to the basement and there is about 5 feet of freezing water in there. 1st floor is totaled as is all the appliances in the basement and the 2nd floor kitchen (where the pipe broke) and the flooring on the 2nd floor.
The NEXT day I get a call from my attorney that everything is ready and we can close next week.......
They ended up buying the house anyway and we all dealt with the insurance and whatnot (what a nightmare).
They ended up with a much better house then they originally thought. I could have sold it for more after the repairs, but we just wanted to be done with it.....

1253  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: Hi-Def War to end at CES 2008...? on: January 07, 2008, 06:01:35 PM
In order for DLC to work it would have to :

1) Have a way to redownload your movies whenever and wherever.
2) There would have to be uber net speeds for everyone.

I don't think DLC will work for a while yet. Most people aren't going to want to wait 20+ minutes to download a movie, not to mention the fact that you'd have to have a server that would be able to store the downloads in your house. Most people won't be able to do this.

We've had a Tivo for years and was recently going to cancel the one with the monthly subscription, but they agreed to let me do a lifetime one (They stopped offering these and I never realized it. This was the only bad thing about it.) and I signed up for it.

I also ended up building a Tivo like PC with a total of 4 Tuners in it. This works pretty well, but for some reason the signal doesn't come in as well as the Tivo.

Most dentists won't do general for basic stuff and the last time I had a tooth pulled and went under, the general cost around $500. Insurance doesn't cover it at all.

It took me 4 tries myself so hopefully the 4th try is the charm for you as well.  The good news is that if you plan to keep going up the Cisco ladder the tests seem to get easier after the CCNA.  I've started working on my CCVP and have passed 2 of the tests already on the first try.  I think the CCNA is so hard because the test itself is so broad, it covers a lot.  The mid-level tests go deeper but are more focused on 1 subject at least.

Good luck man!

Sadly, 4th time wasn't a charm for me.  I gave up all of this time, pushed off all of my work, and studied for 6 days straight and netted myself exactly 1 point more than I did last time.  I don't know what to do at this point...

That sucks. Is it really just this insanely hard? Now I'm worried about come summer, hehe. Do they allow you use of notes or anything or is it all just hard core memory knowlege?
My understanding is that the Cisco tests are the only ones that actually mean something in the real world. A+, MCP, MCSE's, don't really mean much. I've worked with people that had those and some of them I would trust to plug my PC in....

Curious that the designers felt it was important to practice the motions repeatedly,
but not the use of the meter.

Yea I didn't get that either. The first few times I did a jutsu I didn't even realize about the meter. I finally get the stick combos down and then I have to get the meter timing down as well.... Then you have to do another button combo/timing thing to actually execute the jutsu, but at least there they let you decide what buttons to push.
