Alice in Chains - Don't Follow. A beautiful, haunting song that is even more powerful considering what happened to the artist (Layne Staley died of a heroin OD).
Awesome song, another favorite (about/by layne staley) Mad Season (Layne on vocals) - Wake up "Slow suicide's no way to go"

I always figured MS kept the Games on Demand prices artifically above market so as not to piss of the retail channel, especially the preowned game market where most of the profit is.
This, except the bit about pre-owned. I'm confident most publishers would rather sell one new/download copy at $5 than a used copy at any price.
I think Sony does the same thing. Full (new) games cost about $20-30 more in the PSStore than the retail price. (EU, in DKK)
I've only bought old games that were on sale or same price as retail, but I'm not gonna pay 30% more just because of convenience
17 years on and nothing else compares to it. It opened my mind for tons of other bands/genres and helped shape my taste, and it still rocks more There are tons of other artists that I love, but there can only be one #1 :p
"I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry, and that's extra scary to me. There's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside. Run, he's fuzzy, get out of here."
But seriously I'm amazed that people are still trying, and that there are actually some people who beleive videos/pictures like these aren't fake.
I have a squeezebox duet (with remote) and run the server software on my qnap nas. It works great. You need to run logitechs own software on the server though. I have the remote with display but I tend to use my phone more than the remote though since the software is a lot better (exists for iphone/ipad/ipod touch/android).
Personally I would get a Squeezebox Touch (if I was buying today) since it won't need any software on the server/pc, just a shared folder (correct me if I'm wrong) on a server/pc/usb.
Sonos is supposed to be the best there is, but it also costs about 3-4 times more than a squeezebox. Never tried it, but everyone says it's a lot better than squeezebox, but too expensive for me
I'm considering getting a PS3 as I sold my Wii recently. What I want to know is if it is possible to display the video through HDMI and have the sound go out through analog red/white connections? The speakers on my TV are fairly poor and currently I have a blu-ray player sending video through HDMI to the TV, but the sound goes directly to my sound system (iFi from Klipsch) that only takes red/white connections (sort of, only has line in that I split to accept red/white).
If you use hdmi for picture and analog for audio ("red, white") you might get some delay on the sound. But since it works on your BR player I guess it might work on the PS3 too. I've just never been able to get it to work properly. I had mine hooked up with hdmi for the picture and used the analog for audio out to my amplifier (because it doesn't have hdmi). The sound was delayed a bit (enough to be annoying), I beleive it's because there's a slight delay on the analog signal.
Some hifi/tv experts can probably give a better explanation
Grooveshark is just like pandora, probably not as good as Pandora (been 5 years or something since we've been able to use it here, but I've heard Pandora is better ) but it does a decent job: http://www.grooveshark.com
I've heard Spotify (http://www.spotify.com/) is good too, but I haven't tried it since it's not available here. But I think it's available in the UK.

I am assuming that the OP is talking about playing MP3s in his car vs playing CD's in his car. From that I would infer that perhaps he's playing tunes from his iPod.
I think most car stereos support USB sticks/mp3 cds these days. But you're still right
On my homestereo I can hear a big difference between a cbr 192kbps mp3 and the original cd. But if I rip at better quality, it's not noticable. So go 192vbr+, anything below that is craptastic
I'm 99% sure the games are region-specific, so she wouldn't be able to just take her US games and play them on a system bough in Egypt.
The games are region specific yes.
I'm quite sure you use a NTSC console on a PAL tv. I've heard of a lot of people who have imported their consoles because they usually take ages to be released in EU.
I could play NTSC games on my modded PAL-PS2 with no problems (same with movies). So PAL tv's can definetly show a NTSC signal, and new tv's (LCD/Plasma) don't use different signals afaik, so I can't see why it should be a problem.
I really wish google made an 'iphone-killer' but from the reviews and impressions I've read it still seems the iPhone is the better phone. My plan was to get an android phone (Nexus if is it was released in Europe fairly soon off course), but it seems I might be better off picking a iPhone for now.
I'm gonna get some shit for these White Stripes : Seven Nation Army <- forced to listen to way too often for a year or something. Loved the album to begin with, but now I can't listen to it. But this song is the worst Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody <- As with the above song, I've been forced to listen to it and sing a long to it waaay to often. After many years of drinking and singning along to this in highschool I just can't stand it. This was one of the "we put it on a few times a night and we HAVE to sing along each time"-songs. And yes you can be forced to singalong
I also wondered if studios got a cut from concession sales at the theater, which I doubt but could be possible.
As a teenager while working in a movie theater I was told that concession sales are the only thing keeping theaters in business since they get such a small percentage of the ticket sales. I don't know if that's actually true though.
I think that's true. I can't see any other way a theater would be able to make any money.
The Princess Bride. Mainly because I had never heard of the movie and then I saw someone mention it (here I think), and it sounded like something I would like, and sure thing it's now one of my favorite movies
Been meaning to ask this and I guess this thread is as good as any Is there a comparision list somewhere what is available in US,EU,JAP stores ? or is the US store allways to the place to go ?
This is absolutely one of the greatest shows on tv atm. It's definetly the best 'new' show. I really hope they have a solid storyline for Season 3, since it seems pretty easy to mess things up at this point.
