this time you can uptick\downtick the clock .. as opposed to, you know, writing bogus rave-reviews in order to get an undesirable game to fly off the shelves to internet noobs on the recommendation of more savvy internet ne'er-do-wells

If you're interested .. here's Squirrel's YouTube overview of 1.6 .... with mention of 1.7 before Oct-31 (Volvo Pumpkin, anybody?) .. and the new Traffic AI in 1.8
Back in the day, when I played this, shortly after release .. I had NO CLUE how to build a D+D party. So I used the Neutral Good Party guide at sorcerers.net - ToEE - Walkthrough ... just open a page for each character name mentioned .. you have info for each level-up, points and feats
Spoiler for Hiden:
My first time through, I didn't realize there was a character editor (for attrib rolls) included in the root dir .. so I just tried to get my rolls close to the recommended #'s .. (you create the chars in advance so they are selectable at party creation, IIRC)
(regarding attrib rolls)
As my party progressed I could see exactly what the author mentions for feats coming into the own, (cleve, etc) as levels\attribs caught up. Without this reference I surely would have gimped my party ...
Note: avoiding that which you feel is a spoiler at the above link is left as an exercise for the reader ..
Quote .. Version 0.900 is finally ready. This version adds many new quests, a brand new map, lots of new villages and castles, books, AI improvements, gameplay changes and much more!
As usual, we release this version to you, our forum community before the general public, because it no doubt has its share of bugs and glitches and with your help and feedback we hope to fix those.
All members of our team worked very hard for this version. Our art team painstakingly modeled and furnished many new and great looking environments, Cem has implemented many new features and also added some AI code at the last minute, making the AI so much more effective and fun to fight against. Tassilo keeps perfecting and polishing the sounds. And Steve not only helped this version but he will have an exciting surprise for you very soon.
Finally, many thanks to mtarini for developing the method for creating good looking mountain ranges. He has developed many great improvements as part of TLD map beautification project and has a special surprise of his own as well.
QUOTE ... First official release of the software with limited IT support. Currently supports the following for Bman’s mods: Infinite Potion Stacking, Relics In All, and Show All Damage for all versions of Titan Quest from 1.01 to 1.30. Also Immortal Throne 1.10!
It's been a while since I've played it .. I DID enjoy it, but didn't finish it
Diablo is one of the few games that did classes right (IMHO) .. forcing you into a skill set .. and playing the game differently based on those skills .. some of the later patches seemed to have added cross class abilities based on equipment you might find
Div-Div .. allows a sword-wielder to throw fireballs if they wish ... choosing a class, such as MAGE will give you a boost to your Intelligence\Mana ... choosing WARRIOR will give a boost to strength, possibly +1 to sword skills ... etc .. (I played a fireball chucking swordie .. conjuration is helpful for tank and distraction)
there are some quest related bugs .. and you should try and find forums that address these
 I have a feeling that you're far enough into it by now that I didn't tell you anything you haven't figured out
I played only 5 minutes of BEYOND DIVINITY .. div-div 2 is a wait and see because of that
I've come to realize I should have gotten one with my last system purchase .. but I felt CD's were still viable ... This will just be for DATA archiving and storage .. and I'm up to my neck in Burned CD's
I don't need Uber-Leet Bleeding edge .. I just don't want to get something I'll have to replace in a year .. For example .. Comp-USA had a 16x Double Layer internal (MFR unknown) for $49.99 in their last ad .. not sure if it burns CD's as well
Is that what I need .. ?? .. and is that price in-line with the going rate .. ??
I'll shop around a week or so once I know what I'm looking for
and ... Memory upgrades thru DELL are going to be twice the money ... if you mean upping from 512 to 1024 is going to cost $100.00. The only benefit of doing this is the two sticks they sell you initially will be 512 MB .. instead of the 256'ers you will get otherwise
Pop into CRUCIAL or KINGSTON to check memory prices
You might be better off getting the DVD burner and Memory from New egg or something
I just added a gig of ram to the existing dual 256'ers DELL installed at about 123.00 shipped from New Egg (kingston re-directed me there for the sale)
I have a DELL 8300 and it has 4 memory slots .. 2 of which contained 256MB sticks ... I had to install in groups of two (to maintain dual channel functionality or something) .. so I opted to go a full GIG now rather than chuck memory later (ie .. sell to my brother)
and ... Yes .. you can save anywhere (Ctrl+S) ... but only the one save spot (you "might" re-load in the closest town though, I think I read that somewhere)
The loot system strikes me as being better than DS1 (although it's been awhile since I played it)
When you factor in the "Difficulty Selection Screen" .. that you have to be a certain character level to qualify for .. 1-30 .. 31-50 .. (or whatever the scale is) ... then it stands to reason that there is loot available for those higher ranks as well
Character development is better fleshed out ... but not necessarily as well as Diablo-2 tree
but ... party contol seems to be a choice of RAMPAGE = attack at will on your own ... or ... MIRROR = attack what I attack
I wasn't successful selecting One party member and moving them away from the party to set up a tacticle ambush ... etc
Party size is strangely dependent on UNION rules ... you have to have paid the inn-keeper a fee to enlarge your party to 3, 4, 5 etc .... so if you come across a lone warrior standing along the path (ala Dungeon Siege 1) you won't be able to recruit them if your union card says "a party of two" ... and your dance card is full
*** My views are based on the PCGamer Disc "Beta" .. and is at least 2 months old due to magazine lead time
I was playing this a couple months back and enjoying it immensely ... and then the mission guy sent me to a base being held by super mutants ... and I immediately knew I wasn't strong enough and was low on ammo to boot
and sure enough I didn't get far and put the game aside ... I imagine the ammo will take care of itself if I begin knocking them out of the equation ... but they wiped the floor with me
About the only thing I feel that D2 did wrong was to keep such a tight fisted grip on the uber-goods and set items in the Single Player portion of the game
I realize there are MODS to address this .. and I run the "expanded stash" mod of olde .. but, ATMA doesn't deal with the expanded inventory block very well ... and neither did jamella's editor
So I just DL'd PlugY mentioned by Cofcos in another thread .. and this will give me opportunity to try it out
PS .. I'm amazed at how they support this game after so many years ... I realize they've sold "Muy Grande" units ... but Battle.Net doesn't make them any money does it? (banner ads?) ... I've never played Online
