The box felt so hefty: I was hoping for a burly manual with lots of unit info, but 90% of the weight is a NOTEPAD!! Not one shred of info besides a story, which doesn't interest me in the least. Anyways, it's SCII, so I'll forgive and forget for now....

All of this talk makes me think that the 3D home TV craze will flame out quickly. Although, maybe it is just an industry-pushed gimmick rather than being spurred by any real consumer demand. It seems like people have just been moving up to large flat screen TV's in the past few years. I don't think many are ready to fork out the bucks for a 3D TV yet.

Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / 3D Movies: Disappointing so Far

I'm no expert since I've only seen three 3D movies, but so far I'm underwhelmed. The first one was Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, but that was so long ago I don't remember details, but recently I've seen Toy Story 3 & The Last Airbender.
Toy Story 3 was a complete waste in 3D. I'm glad I had two free tickets to it, so it only cost me $17 for four of us to see it. It was a good movie, but the 3D effects seemed like an afterthought.
I just saw The Last Airbender today. Another good flick, and the 3D was better than Toy Story 3, but I was still left unfulfilled.
At Toy Story 3 & The Last Airbender, they both had some previews that used the 3D effects better than the movies. I'm talking about the stuff that comes out at you and makes you gasp or duck. That's what I want to see in a 3D movie.
So far I give the whole 3D movie thing a big "meh". Am I just not going to the right movies? Who's seen a movie that really puts the 3D effects to good use?

And once again Russell survives. Poor Rupert - I was hoping he and Colby would get some support to boot Russell.
Gutsy Sandra tells Russell she's against him! You go girl!
Is Colby next? If so, then Parv or Sandra will win.
Don't forget it all ends THIS SUNDAY!

Did you see the smiles on Rupert & Colby's faces when Russell didn't get his way at Tribal? AWESOME!!
I continue to loathe Russell, but it just wouldn't be the same without him. Every week I hope he gets voted out, but he figures out some way to avoid it. Can't wait to see if he gets the axe next week.

BTW there was this tidbit from Jeff Probst blog:
"Next season it will take more than just looking under a rock to find a hidden idol. I won’t give away what we’re doing, but in planning our creative for next season we coined a phrase, “The Russell Factor” and it influenced how we will play the hidden idol next season."
Those idols jump right out of the ground when Russell walks close to them. You gotta give the guy credit - this is the second season he's done it, so it ain't a fluke. When they hide them better next season, nobody will be able to find them unless Russell comes back.

In my inner reading voice I'm seeing you start out your rant down low with some guttural notes and slowly building to your line about the recording deal at which point you are screeching at the top of your lungs. Fortunately I don't vote for anyone on the show so I'm safe from your vengeance. I do think it is surprising to some degree that Big Mike (the quicker picker upper) and Elementary School Student Aaron lasted longer than Siobahn, both are extremely boring to me and Siobahn was anything but. Exactly.

Another foiled attempt to get rid of Russell. That guy is impossible to get rid of. I was glad to see him play the idol and waste it. Obviously there's little trust left between the Villains - Russell wouldn't tell them about the idol. Maybe some of them will at least temporarily side with some of the Heroes and vote Russell out. If not, they're a pathetic bunch of wimps and need to be eliminated.

First I'd like to apologize to Siobahn for not voting for her. I watch the show 1-2 days late, so I can't vote. I just lost interest in the show. Siobahn has been my favorite even though I didn't think she would be the winner, but she shouldn't have gone home this week. I'd like to take a spiked baseball bat to the people who voted for others instead of her - I hate you all. You're a bunch of stinking rotten low life scum bags. I hope she scores a big recording deal and gets filthy rich - far richer than any of the remaining 5 people who I couldn't care less about. Next week is Sinatra?!? That oughta be a recipe for disaster and help someone do a craptastic job. But what do I care. Vote off all five of them.

5 days later, and it finally arrives, only to find out beta lasts till the 17th. lame
Downloading now. I saw the same date in the email, but when I entered my key on Battle.net, it says it's good until the end of the beta. I'm wondering if the May 17 date is for downloading it....

They're setting it up next week that Russell is in trouble, but I'll believe it when I see it. Exactly. Russell is like the roach that survives after a nuclear holocaust. I won't believe it until Jeff is snuffing out his torch.

That double idol play was slick! Didn't see it coming and it totally screwed JT.
Kudos to Rupert for seeing through Russell's smoke and mirrors act.
Even with Heroes: 4, Villains: 5, the Heroes may not be screwed. The previews make you believe Sandra is going to conspire against Russell, which means her plus the 4 Heroes could do it. No idols floating around - 5 votes for Russell, we'll see...
Should be interesting - let the backstabbing begin!
