I will need (preferably shirtless) pics of all of you before I decide who is most worthy of a man-crush. I know I have an ATB post-marathon picture somewhere on my PC for you. Not shirtless but sweaty... Post it.

I will need (preferably shirtless) pics of all of you before I decide who is most worthy of a man-crush. Or if ATB posts a picture of himself wearing the skimpiest jogging shorts possible, with the picture emphasizing his svelte pasty-white legs. He'll get my man-love for sure then!

Ass-less chaps Mondays Not to bring OO silliness here but what are Ass-less chaps as compared to regular Chaps? Why is there a need to specify Ass-less? o.k. that was directly bringing OO silliness here. Sorry 'bout your luck. They let me in. Assless chaps are Lawbeef's favorite article of clothing. There's just something he likes about the ventilation, if you know what I mean. Plus, the easy access.

Where did you find the article with that picture?
It was posted up at DrudgeReport.com a few days ago, and the story was carried by Yahoo. The woman (named Doris) had intended to go into an Obama rally, but it was sold out. So she walked into a local diner to get a bite to eat and Hillary came into the establishment and started meeting the locals. Doris came up to Hillary very briefly to say hello and said she was embarrased as to the circumstances.

I've little to no interest in seeing this. It's a shame, but they made it so cartoony. 'IronMan' was all sorts of awesome last weekend, and its gonna clobber this at the box-office.

Man that is just messed up
Really, I had to check and see if I was reading it wrong. His daughter is 24 and he has had 7 kids through her? And two are 19 and 18. I'm not the best at math but... You have to have something wrong in there numbers-wise becaue she could not have a child at 5 years old which is what she would have needed to do for one to be 19. Elisabeth Fritzl, 42, says her father lured her into the cellar in 1984 and drugged and handcuffed her before imprisoning her. Yep. She was imprisoned for 24 years. That is not her age. Not that it makes it any better really. Heh, I reread that too. Still, gah. Yeah, she was 18 back in 1984 when she was imprisoned. Can you imagine that?! Living in a dark, tiny basement for 24 years. I was 11 years in old in 1984, loving my Transformers TV show and toys, and just being a kid. Think of all the world events that have transpired since--the fallout of the Chernobyl reactor (1986 I believe), the Berlin Wall fell (1989, I think), The Gulf War (early 90s). That woman has been 'down there' all that time. And of the kids that have been there their entire lives, never having seen daylight? Psychologically, those kids are from a different planet. Just a horrible situation to try to get your mind around.

Most check it out soon. I think it was released last Tuesday. If I can find a free minute this week, I'll pick it up. Here's RollingStone.com's take on it: It's been ten years since the world last heard from Portishead, the U.K. trip-hop trio, and they do not sound like they've spent the past decade going to therapy, listening to new music or making friends. Actually, they sound like they spent it locked in a tea cupboard underwater off the coast of Bristol, with a piped-in orchestral soundtrack from Dario Argento horror movies. Is this a problem?
No way — nobody ever listened to Portishead for their sparkling personalities or musical variety. What they're brilliant at is obsessively textured studio dread, and Third is an unexpected yet totally impressive return. Beth Gibbons still has her high-pitched trill ("Wounded and afraid/Inside my head," she sings in the opener, "Silence" — big surprise), but she's just another sound effect in the audio creep show of Geoff Barrow and Adrian Utley. "We Carry On" is a smashingly claustrophobic two-note electro riff, with heavy echoes of the Silver Apples' "Oscillations." In highlights like "The Rip," "Small" and "Machine Gun," Portishead mix up dub, break beats, cathedral organ, Moroccan drones and even surf rock into a headphone album for sour times.

Fox has an early, pretty rave review as well: 'Iron Man' Rocks: First Reviewhttp://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,352793,00.html"Iron Man" plays like an old fashioned hit, full of character development, witty dialogue, and a plot that plausibly makes sense.
The fact is, Favreau’s "Iron Man" is damn good, and should kick the summer box office with a bang.
Can't. Wait. Will be there Friday!

More evidence for why you should give cops the same fear and respect you would an armed criminal, and for the same reason: they might gun you down for no reason or any reason at all.
Oh indeed. If this guy had just stopped and obliged them instead of trying to run them down with his car they probably would have shot him anyway. In fact, I was mowing my lawn yesterday and a police car drove by. She saw me mowing, stopped her car, got out and shot me. Now you're just teasing us with fantasies. You're just saying that cause I mow my lawn in a speedo. no, i think it's more that no one believes you'd willingly perform manual labor of any sort... and windows95, that was an incredibly sincere and well thought out response. you have absolutely no reason to feel nervous for responding. i believe i speak for most of us when I say that no matter what happened, there are still many, many good cops out there helping people on a daily basis. Agreed. I didn't know you were a policeman, Windows, and your post does give me much to think about. It's good to get the perspective of a policeman on this type of situation. I will go on a record that I've no problem with police in general, just the (very) few bad apples.

Thanks for all your thoughts, guys. I snatched both 'The Movies' and 'Sins Of A Solar Empire' and they're on their way. I don't purchase games often these days as my rig needs upgrading (this summer, baby!) and I like to make sure I'm getting top value for my gaming dollars. Blackjack, I watched all the movies you posted and I was impressed. I liked the voicework in both 'Wars End' and 'The Rescue'. Although, I got a kick on 'The Rescue' at seeing Saturn in the background as the helicopters zipped. My guess is that was how that location was laid out by Lionhead'; still, pretty funny! Eduardo, I figure that for 5 bucks if I play the game for 10 hours, that's 50 cents of fun per hour. Not a bad purchase at all. I just finished playing the demo for 'Sins..' and that looks like a really deep, engrossing game. edited to add: Oh, and (of course!) I also read the Gamingtrend review--90% rating! That also helped make the 'Buy' decision.

PWND.
I didn't buy it when I saw it at Target.. so not pwnd. Thanks for the impressions, drake. Urge to purchase is rising. I'm also thinking of jumpin on 'Sins Of A Solar Empire', since I've been playing the demo and I found out that also runs on my computer. Maybe a two-fer purchase is in order. 10 hours left on 48HR Madness price. Looks like I'll have to make a fateful decision.

Sure, it's fairly typical tycoon style gameplay, fairly polished. With the bonus of movie-making inside. I'm sure I've seen it for $10 though. === Actually it's on gogamer's 48 hour madness right now for $5! Definitely worth $5. Damn, so Target is ripping people off?! But if I get at GoGamer for $5.00.. once you had the S+H it will be about $13.

I recently spotted a copy of 'The Movies' at Target for 13 bucks. I never played it on its initial release, and as a filmmaker, I'm intrigued by it. I think it will run in my older rig. But the question is, for those who played, was it worth it? Worth 13 bucks? I want to hear your opinions.

Well he had one good movie (Pan's Labyrinth), everything else he has done (that I have heard of) is pretty bad. So I am a little worried.
Have you actually seen any of his movies? Blade 2 and Hellboy, god awful bad. Pan's is amazing. I tend to disagree pretty strongly with computer game forum TV/movies likes/dislikes. I think most of what is popular here isn't even watchable. I am kind of a snob. Oh, No, You Didn't! The Re-education of Lee must begin soon.

Del Toro’s moving to New Zealand for the next four years to work with Jackson and his Wingnut and Weta production teams. He’ll direct the two films back to back, with the sequel dealing with the 60-year period between “The Hobbit” and “The Fellowship of the Ring,” the first of the “Lord of the Rings” trilogy. Awesome! Now that's a filmmaker right there. btw, Whiteboyskim, I really like the line in your sig about filmmaking. Someday soon I hope to be making such types of films.

I'm probably changing my driving habits this summer. Not only because of the projected increase of gas to 4 bucks a pop this summer, but because I've a developing parking shortage situation going on. Once I finish this class I'm taking this semester (which has me driving straight to it after work twice a week), I'm going to take the Light Rail 3-4 times a week this summer. That'll save me on gas costs and parking hassle.

Exactly. Think about the time it takes to unload that many shots (even with an automatic weapon). He even reloaded!
So I'm curious. Do you think they were just jonesing to kill someone? From what I can gather, they all testified that things went crazy. The guy who reloaded thought they were under fire. What's *your* explanation for the whole mess? You think it inconceivable that they reacted to a perceived threat and panicked? Hate to say it, but they are humans. If you thought your life was in danger I reckon you'd shoot 31 times time reload too until you felt safe. Was it a screwup? Absolutely. Should they turn in their badges and find another line of work? Absolutely. But you can't say how someone will react in a situation like until they are in a situation like that. This is a tragedy, but I don't know about all the outrage like they were a group of dirty cops who murdered someone for the fun of it. My response is in line with Remus'--They should be charged with negligent homicide and find a new line of work. From what I've read of the case (and forgive me if I lack 100% of the details), the poor man was trying to get away in his car when they just unloaded on him. The cops excuse was that one of their own was in the way of the car at the time. Still, 50 shots? The situation wasn't Vietnam or Iraq. Excessive force was used.

I like Wesley, but let's take a look at his quote: Snipes read aloud from a prepared apology, calling his actions "costly mistakes" but never mentioning the word "taxes." He said he was the victim of crooked advisers, a liability of wealth and celebrity that attract "wolves and jackals like flies are attracted to meat."
"I am an idealistic, naive, passionate, truth-seeking, spiritually motivated artist, unschooled in the science of law and finance," Snipes said. Come on, man. Anyone with a right mind knows they have to pay their taxes. He hasn't paid them since 1998! He stands to serve 3 years, btw.

Apparently. The controversial Sean Bell trial just rendered its verdict in NYC. And all three cops were acquitted... of pumping 50 rounds of bullets into Sean Bell. Bell was unarmed and one of the cops even reloaded his gun during the fracas. The poor widow of the man ran away in hysterics after the 'Not Guilty' verdict was read. Here in Baltimore, just two nights ago, an out-of-uniform cop was gunned down by one of his own (!!) after an altercation which took place (you guess it!) at 2Am in the morning after the local Haven strip club here in Pulaski Hwy and Haven st declared 'last call'. Boys and girls.. Well, er, boys only. Be very afraid of coming out of a strip club at closing time. That's when most shit hits the fan.
