Congrats Ken, glad to hear it!

For me, work blocks access to gt. It's nice to read during the day, so tapatalk is my method!

230 hours in found my first legendary. Lvl 61 staff with 600 dps or so, unfortunately 2 handed. Looks like people are selling for all kinds of stupid prices. Setting mine much lower as based on the stats I have no clue who would want such a low dps weapon.
44  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Re: Diablo III --Impressions start on page 36 -- on: June 27, 2012, 06:17:03 PM
210+ hours on my Wizard yet to find a legendary or set piece. Found my first plans which go for about 5k on the ah... Blah. Lack of loot worth selling is killing me.
45  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Diablo III --Impressions start on page 36 -- on: June 19, 2012, 09:46:42 PM
Oiy... don't know how this will play out. My DPS has dropped considerably, though I had no ias gear.

From looking through the forums (which are 99% complaining right now) it seems sparkflint was showing a 30% increase in damage instead of 15%. I can't confirm or deny.

Act 2 doesn't seem less difficult to me on inferno.

My first repair bill was 26,000 gold. At the point which I repaired, I had made 12,000 since starting. This does not equal out. Gold drops seem dismal.

Confirmed 1.0.3 is out today! Hoping to make some progress on Inferno past act 2.5 tonight!

I will echo Ricks thoughts... Words don't do enough, my thoughts and prayers will be with your family.

You're absolutely right about that and that's one of the reasons I would not spend a dime on the RMAH. Blizzard has said the changes to ias will be retroactive so its not like they are letting you have the items as they were bought or found. I think that part might be a mistake... It effects the balance to not retro change those attributes but you risk seriously pissing off a customer who spent real dollars to acquire the item.

While I don't like the idea of a RMAH anyway, blizzard created the demon and needs to play fair by it.

Sucks for those who dropped money on the RMAH for high ias weapons and gear, heh. Fortunately my wiz has no ias gear so that huge nerf won't hurt my character.

I'm just looking forward to being able to continue inferno. 35k HP and 27k dps with 60% res to all (can push to 70% with prismatic armor) and act 2+ inferno still annihilates me.
50  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Re: Weekend Playlist - 06/15/12 - Father's Day edition on: June 15, 2012, 08:28:53 PM
D3 and perhaps some black ops on the 360.
51  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: Re: Has anyone had Ebay work in your (the seller's) favor? on: June 15, 2012, 04:54:43 PM
Id return their money minus your shipping costs. They asked for a cancellation after shipping, they're on the hook for shipping costs.
52  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Re: Diablo III --Impressions start on page 36 -- on: June 11, 2012, 04:05:05 PM
Yeah, there is really no point in farming act 1 as you have zero chance to get gear for act 2+. Sure you can farm gold and lower level items, but grinding for gold so you can spend millions on the AH seems awful.

I'm leveling a demon hunter and a monk in the meantime, both seem like pretty fun classes to play. I've all but stopped playing my barbarian, just can't get into the combat with him... Shame it took me 40 lvls to figure that out.
53  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Re: Diablo III --Impressions start on page 36 -- on: June 11, 2012, 01:52:43 PM
I read this morning that they hotfixed the mob damage modifier for having more players in your group. That's a step in the right direction at least...
54  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Re: Diablo III --Impressions start on page 36 -- on: June 09, 2012, 12:49:16 PM
Is anyone else stuck? I'm through act 1 inferno, but act 2 is an absolute slaughterfest. I tried it last night with my buddy who is a barb, geared out quite well with millions of gold worth of ah gear and we got smoked.

I've got 24k dps, 34k health with 55%ish resistance to all.

I have no interest in chain rezzing to fly thru the levels... Or grave zerging.

At this point I'm kind of done with inferno til the patch unless we are totally missing something here?
55  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Re: Diablo III --Impressions start on page 36 -- on: June 07, 2012, 04:09:40 AM
So glad to hear they are addressing the damage boost crap. It makes no sense. I don't gain more HP when I play with friends, so why punish me for it?

Also looking forward to the loot tables being updated. Almost 70 hours on my wiz, 20 on barbarian and I've yet to have a legendary drop or find a rare worth much on the auctions house. Into inferno now and trying to gear myself is painstaking when I'm getting crap drops still.

I ran into invulnerable minions in act 1 of hell. Can't imagine if they were invulnerable mortar or something. It was not a fun 5 minutes of kiting.
57  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Re: Diablo III --Impressions start on page 36 -- on: June 01, 2012, 04:14:40 PM
Roman you should continue on. You haven't seen all the effects of runes on your skills! The game gets to be a lot more fun as stuff opens up as you level.

60  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Re: Diablo III --Impressions start on page 36 -- on: May 27, 2012, 10:31:41 PM
Yes, I'm 100% with you on the drops. I actually resorted to buying from the ah earlier because my gloves were so awful for my level.

I've seen two epics or legendaries or whatever, but have not gotten one myself. My wizard is at 43 and my barbarian is at 38. Im lucky in that I've had a good group of friends to play with and we have had more success finding loot for each other probably then finding it for ourselves.

I really have noticed an uptick in the amount of rare loot in nightmare but certainly not an uptick in quality of that loot. Just keep trucking along I guess.
61  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Re: Diablo III --Impressions start on page 36 -- on: May 27, 2012, 06:52:55 PM
You have to craft a staff to access it. It's kind of a jarring experience from the rest of the game.... And that staff is not cheap. A buddy of mine spent a few hours farming for the crafting mats needed. Didn't seem to be worth it, imo.
62  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: Re: Centurylink 40 meg line - worth it? on: May 21, 2012, 12:02:57 AM
Getting out from Comcast in any way possible is a win in my books. Fiber won't hurt you either.

Just make sure its fiber all the way to your house. ATT tried selling me "fiber", only to find out fiber only went to the closest routing box. Copper the rest of the way... Chumps.
63  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Re: Diablo III --Impressions start on page 36 -- on: May 20, 2012, 10:33:59 PM
Gratch, imo its worth leveling the monk up to compare. I feel pretty much opposite what you are saying about the barb and monk. I am digging the monk, but the barb much less so!

Playing with a guy who has his monk in the high teens, he seems much more durable and has higher dps than my barb of the same level.

You could have them buy something from you, trading you all their gold in the process. Then you level your smith up as high as possible and craft items for them as needed.
65  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Re: Diablo III --Impressions start on page 36 -- on: May 20, 2012, 03:40:47 PM
You just right click on those items to identify them... Nothing else needed.
66  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Re: Diablo III --Impressions start on page 36 -- on: May 19, 2012, 04:59:28 AM
From what I've seen the demon hunter is incredibly powerful as a dps character.

I've got a wizard at 16, a barbarian at 18 and a monk at 9 so far. I will echo sentiments of each class being distinctly different and a good change of pace.

Just getting going with act II right now and so far the game seems great!
67  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Re: Diablo III --Impressions start on page 36 -- on: May 15, 2012, 09:18:17 PM
There is no excuse for these queues. You implement this shit and yet don't plan appropriately for usage. Blizzard is effectively selling paperweights or coasters until they get their shit sorted out.

Had something go wrong with my digi download. Tried to use downloader to scan/fix whatever was broken and didn't work.

Restarted download four hours ago. 2.9/7.6 gigs. THIS BETTER FINISH AND BE RIGHT BY 8 AM.

Last time I do digital download otherwise.  crybaby

75  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: Re: The 2012 Health Improvement Thread on: April 25, 2012, 12:10:33 AM
Start by squeezing in a walk at lunch. Any chance of taking the kids for a walk after dinner? If that can't happen, about the only other thing I'd suggest is summoning every last ounce of your willpower to squeeze in 30 minutes on your treadmill before bed. I'm guessing some of your exhaustion is due to the weight gain, so I'd hope as you got into a routine of working out before bed things would get easier.

I'm trying to think of things to do outside the gym... I am fortunate enough to be able to work out during lunch so this is tough. Any sports teams you can join up with on the weekends for an hour or two of workout?

Try a used Vw jetta TDI if you're after gas mileage, ive got a 2010 and love it. Probably average 50mpg on the highway. Another buddy of mine just bought a 2006 used version of the same and would echo my sentiments. A roof rack is an easy install on it, too.

Agreed with Pete here. There are beer leagues for softball and then there are competitive leagues. It really depends which you're participating in.

I work out at work with a buddy three or four times a week.

I just finished a session of broomball and will be doing a Kickball league Monday nights, softball on Sundays and another softball league for church on a yet to be determined week night.

Another three months and ill probably get back to soccer. I've not played organized soccer since my acl surgery 12 months ago, so I'm dying to get back on the pitch. These other sports have been fun to do in the meantime, but I'm ready for soccer again.

Also just got my mountain bike back from the shop today... And I've logged about 200 miles so far this year on my road bike (giant advanced a1). I dont have any races planned though I may do the zoo-de-mack if the wife clears me for a weekend away slywink
