I hope that there is a way to create new planets? I deleted 2 games I had started, and now the planets are completely gone....and I cannot figure out how to add new planets. Maybe I am just blind and not seeing how to do that?

something is strange. the game(s) have been updating and updating and updating some more. Silverfall took over 5 hours to update, and now it seems as though the exe is not even there. It looks as though the Earth Awakening exe has taken over. Now, that game is updating, has been for about 6 hours, and still needs another 2.5 hours to finish. I have never had problems like this with Steam....

Just purchased and installed Silverfall (and the expansion) from Steam. But, the game will simply not load up at all.

"Silverfall.exe has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."

That is all I get. Any ideas? I am running Vista...meet and surpass the other requirements. Although, not sure I have the Aegis PhysX stuff. Where do I find that?

Oh, I am loving this game. I am, by no means, a baseball fanatic. I do like watching baseball, but I just....don't. I started out pretty horrible, but now my guy is batting right around .300 somewhat consistently. This is a fun game, especially the Road to the Show mode.

I have 3 questions.

1. How in the world do I do a Hit & Run? I have had to try 4 times, and everytime, I end up getting the "Not Attempted" result. When should I try to run, and HOW do I run?

2. How do I draw 9 walks through 6 series? That is one of my achievement goals, and I cannot figure out how to force a pitcher to walk me.

3. Why are the Akron Aeros in the middle of a desert? I am playing for the AA team, the Akron Aeros, and their home field is out in the middle of the desert. Shouldn't they be in Akron, Ohio? As far as I know (and I lived there nearly all my life), there are no deserts in Akron.

I am loving this game, to be honest. But the Hit and Run thing is really messing me up, and needing to walk 9 times is something that I just do not see happening.

The game itself is nearly an entirely new beast. The basics are still there, but there are vastly new additions and new concepts.

For one thing, storylines actually mean something. Storylines are broken down by segments, and ending a storyline before completing it will cause a penalty.

Example: I have a storyline going between my #2 champion and one of the more popular guys on my roster. To start this particular storyline, I needed to figure out 5 ppl to be involved (the good guy/major role; the bad guy/major role; good guys main ally/supporting role; bad guys main ally/supporting role; bad guys hired gun/supporting role).

There are a total of 24 steps in this storyline, with the first one being "The arguement that starts it", with the 2nd step being "wrester 1 (main role good guy) defeats wrestler 2 (main role bad guy)". Both of those steps took place on my last show. The next step will be "wrestler 2 gets revenge for the loss", which will need to be an attack angle with the following roles: main role good guy is the victim, main role bad guy is an attacker, and main bad guy's ally is also an attacker.

Now that I have committed to this storyline, It will hurt my promotion and image if I just suddenly quit it. This forces the player to be careful about who he puts into storylines (wrestlers can be signed away). And, the type of storylines and angles are rated on what type of angles they are. In a traditional type fed, one based on more traditional wrestling (think from the 70s and early-mid 80's), then a sexual angle will most likely not go over very well with your fan base.

I seem to remember storylines not really meaning much in the earlier versions, but in the current versions.....they are important. Gimmicks are the same thing....some gimmicks simply will not work out very good in certain promotion types.

Other new things....

 - Owner goals. The promotion owner that you work for (if you do not own the promotion), will give you goals that you gotta work around. Right now, I have 5 owner goals....(1) my promotion must not fall below "small" size at any point (2) Shawn Gonzalez (one of my workers) must have reached at least B grade momentum by the end of 17 months (3) I cannot hire or extend the contract of any wrestler who has less than D- in Safety (4) I cannot hire or extend the contract of any wrestler who has less than D- in Charisma (5) and the last goal is, I cannot hire or extend the contract of any wrestler who has less than D- in Selling

 - a wrestler's past matches are recorded, even from other promotions, along with their former title reigns

Along with what I mentioned, there are lots of things he has done differently with the newest version. There used to be a topic on their forums of many of the changes and additions he had added, leading up to the release of the game, but I cannot seem to find it now....

But, yeah, the game is much "bigger".

I am getting this tonight (and I am on vacation for 9 days after tonight).

I downloaded the demo, and really enjoyed it. One demo game, went up to 7 innings. I had a guy on 2nd and 1st, hit what shoud have been a double, but the guy running to 3rd didn't continue to home, and the guy on 2nd got stuck, while the hitter ran on to 2nd, causing the 3rd out. Not sure what happened there....but I could have won that game....I was trying to get the 3rd baseman to run on to home, but it was a no-go for some reason.

wrestling fans in this game are very fickle, just like the wrestling fans in real life. Just let them sit....or use them as managers/valets or something along that line, maybe.....

as far as "personality" goes...not sure....you might find the answer to that on their message boards....

well, there is a help file that kinda is a tutorial. But, yes, I know what you are saying. The only reason I have any idea what is going on, is I have bought nearly every version.

But, this is one of those games that if you can make it past the initial "huh, what?", it is a game that delivers on so many levels. There are mods (or, there will be) that adds actual wrestlers. One of the best mods, in my opinion, is the Death of the Territories mod, which takes place right around StarCade '83 (when Ric Flair beat Harley Race for the NWA World Title in the cage).

The thing about this game, though, is that it is pretty wide open. You can play two games, using the same promotion, and each experience will be very different.

What is this game? Wrestling, behind the scenes. You are the "Head Booker", and you have to deal with pretty much everything in a wrestling promotion. From hiring & firing of talent, to setting up tv show deals, ppv deals, to setting up the matches/storylines on those shows/ppv's. You set the gimmicks and the push of the different talent....then you gotta deal with the "backroom politics" of professional wrestling. The different egos and attitudes, relationships, ect of the different workers.

I am really mixed about the game. I am having SO much fun....but there is just something that I just cannot put my finger on that spells not good. The game is great, mind you, but there is just something.....

I actually got Forged Alliance also (I got the Gold Edition). I am only wanting to run through the campaigns of the original. I remember reading in that long thread (I believe it was on these boards) that it was possible to change the UI layout....how do I do that?

I think I finally just got it all fixed....the GPG program downloader had to download, update, shut down a bout 10 times. I searched the net looking for the latest versions for Supreme Commander and Forged Alliance. I really only want the updated version of SC because I wanna go through the campaign. But it was still a bit hard to find it.

But, I think I am finally updated....finally.

I bought Supreme Commander Gold last night....and I have never had so much trouble trying to update a game than I have with this one. Everytime I go into GPGOnline, it downloads a patch, applies it, then shuts down. I go back into it, and it re-downloads the same patch, reapplies the same patch, then shuts down. Is there a trick or something to patching Supreme Commander or Supreme Commander Foreged Alliance? I am wanting to play through the campaign of the first game, but I cannot figure out how to update it. And as far as playing online goes, I cannot even get into the game because it keeps updating the game over and over again.

Anyone have any ideas?

how in the world do you leave a castle? I went into a castle to get a quest....and I could not figure out how to leave again....

Where is that page at? I sent them an email several days ago, and haven't recieved anything. I bought the game awhile back, but my pc crashed and died, and I simply cannot find the key (thought i had it written down with some other serial keys). I am at their site, but I cannot find a faq or anything....maybe on their forums.....will check that.

I am really enjoying it. I play some missions, then just go on a crazy driving killing spree....I finally got into the MP now that the PS3 MP deal seems to be fixed. Was having LOTS of fun in a Free Mode game (not sure how, but themissinglink and myself got into that same game), but then all of a sudden, I was booted out of the game, and into a game with only me. Perhaps there is somehow you can join a game that has someone on your friends list? Not sure....I couldn't figure out how to find that game I was in....

For some reason, I can't get MP working on the PS3. It just tells me that it can't contact the game provider, or some such.

Am I the only one with this issue?

And I am not sure why ppl are thinking that the PS3 is not getting any DLC. I have read several places that the PS3 will get DLC....maybe not the same thing as MS, but we will be getting something.

I am brand-spankin' new here.....but I have been following this thread for quite some time.

I pre-ordered the special edition last week at gamestop, traded in some games, and only paid $4.19 for the game.

I have a PS3, so I was thinking that all the PS3 players could somehow let each other know who we are. Maybe not its' own thread, but somehow, we should all get hooked up, since the PS3 is the minority.
