What's this "Halo 3" you speak of?

Ever since I picked up Eternal Sonata I haven't had time for anything else... is Halo 3 like it? Do all the characters have big round eyes? Are there fairies?

I played through about an hour of the campaign on heroic last night and I like it pretty well so far, just gonna take a little getting used to with the slightly different button layout. Graphics wise its very pretty, not quite as pretty as GoW, but very good none the less. Lots of detail in the environment as well. Hopefully I'll get some more time on it this evening if the heathens will behave long enough for me to play lol.

FYI, the Halo 3 themed 360 I got on the 16th has  a manufacturer date of 2007-08-07. It is much quieter than my other 360 which has been sent in once for the RRD syndrome, been fine ever since though.

Bought a Halo 3 360 yesterday & put $10 down on two copies of Halo 3. My son's finally getting old enough to play (dont care what teh wife thinks anymore lol) so I picked up a second 360 so we can throw down without going split screen. Gotta refresh my console FPS skills since I havent played at all since I picked up that bad habit called WoW two years ago (finally kicked it to the curb last week and cancelled my sub. I"M FREE  ).

Bummer... Still cant update as of this morning. Stops at 4% and then errors out after a bit. Not a great first impression of a $500 console if you ask me.

Anyone able to get this to download? It craps out just 4% in when trying to update from the PS3 and only get's to ~10% when trying to download it to my laptop from the link below.

LOL. Just checked ratshack and they had a $700+ HDMI cable. And just like CompUSA the cheaper HDMI cables were web only and they only carry the over priced ones in the stores. Oh well, guess I'll just order one from monoprice.

Got my PS3 today and the damn thing didn't have any hi-def cables... So, my TV has a HDMI input, does the PS3 use a special HDMI cable or will any old HDMI cable work and where is best place to get one thats reasonably priced? I've seen the ones listed at gamestop and CC and they range from $60-$100 which is crazy IMHO.

I just unboxed my 60gb one that came today from the 150.00 rebate deal when using the sony card, and.... WTF. It only came with composite video cables... How hard would it have been to put in one of those cables thats has both (component & composite).

wOOt. Just got mine on order, although they are backordered now.... For some reason I didn't get an instant approval back when I last posted, and then today the card shows up in the mail, go figure.

How long does it take for them to approve you? I was planning on getting a PS3 in the next few months and this just pushed me over the edge.

What did you get? I got an E1705 about a month and a half back and I love it, havent even fired up the desktop since I got it. I did wipe Vista off and install XP though . It makes for nice evenings setting in the recliner playing WoW and watching TV. The only thing I regret is not waiting a extra month and being able to get the 8600 video card instead of the 7900GS.

That sucks... I've killed same faction lowbies in the IF AH before and never even got a warning about it... My pet had the debuff from Emeriss and I re summoned him in the AH and quite a few toons fell over dead from the AoE poison. I laughed until I cried  .

I dont believe a used copy would work for ya. The reg code would be tied to the other persons account and you dont get a free month with a new copy of it. If you already have a WoW account just go download the free 10 day trial.

If its a problem with XP not being able to recognize the full size of the drive before SP2, the following should be able to fix you up. What it does is create a XP install CD with SP2 already integrated into it.

I've tried every class except Warrior, and I have to say that Hunter is really the most fun overall.

My Hunter is my favorite class as well, and this is the entire reason why I'm so pissed at the constant little changes to the Hunter class. I want a pet that is different than the rest of the pack. I want a fast attack speed (or hell, a fast approach speed) pet, and I can no longer get that choice.

I'm just glad I quit playing WoW as of last week, I only have one 60 (hunter) and we are getting nerfed pretty good. Not the reason I quit, but Fuck You Blizzard....
