I ran into a few log in issues but eventually got to play a Demon Hunter thru the beta limit. I guess that after seeing the new starcraft, I shouldnt be surprised that theres nothing new here in Diablo3. It seems like a glorified expansion and Im curious as to why it took so long to get out the door. That being said it still has the old Diablo fun factor and once I got in it ran smoothly. Im also not too happy that they are forcing a single player gamers to face server issues. Anyways, if you liked the previous Diablos, youll likely like this one as well, warts and all.
While I admire and enjoy most (if not all) of Bliizzard's games, I believe that they are a victim of their own success. Having the luxury, budget, and all the time they want to make a game is not always a good thing. Edit: of course I'm buying it Lol we are too weak to make a stand for innovation. Bring on the demons!

Daughters kindle fire quit charging. less then 4 minute call to amazon, new kindle fire at my house in about 24 hours.
Best customer service I ever seen. And, I don't know why, maybe its the book reading and small package, but I love the kindle fire too.

I love witcher 1. Maybe better then 2. But yea, the two books I have read are actually short stories. Very good books too.
But anyways, I do not think the games stories have a whole lot in common, just like the books.
Your a witcher, you kill monsters, and you deal with the humans or the squirrels.. Throw in a wierd undead monster and the story begins, heh..

Since I am only on midway through level 2, thinking about restarting. Made some mistakes on my characters, like Dex being shit for my rogue archer.
On the mage I have spread out my points between the schools. I am thinking about rebuilding him and sticking all the points into one tree + spellcraft.
Like maybe ice + spellcraft or something. I am not sure if that is wise or not.
Then a pair of minotaur warriors for the front rank, this time putting a little more into dex maybe for the evasion, and perhaps splitting points between armor and a weapon. Seems like armor in this game has some pretty high penalties.
Anything else I need to think about before doing this?

I think it sucks that in order to play the new maps, you have to log into elite and they are just the new maps, not mixed in with the old maps. (On the PS3)
I would like them all blended together. I think I like black ops better because of it.

after some more levels the old school feel just isn't clicking for me; I need freedom to run around and not be stuck on a grid layout. back in the day I was all about the turn based RPG dungeon crawls, and when I first started I felt that wave of nostalgia but it didn't last. I guess I've just grown out of them.
Yea, I did not play lands of lore or anything. I played Wizardry and might and magic. But, I still have fun with it.

yea, I am going to put witcher 1 on hold and start witcher 2 and grimrock tonight. So, yea, just let skyrim sit there till we get bored. heh
They keep making it better while we wait. But yea, ruffing people up for thieves guild, and the whole sneaking around, murdering for the undead night mother / dark brotherhood, stabbing folks in the back.. might get you interested in the game.

I am so hyped for this game. Skyrim bores me to tears due to its lame combat (saying that hurts me as I've always been a huge Elder Scrolls fan, but I just can't get into Skyrim), but this game looks wonderful.
Thats ok. I am burnt out on skyrim due to sinking 150 hours into it or so. Results are the same, we need new games! How did you make it through 150 hours of bland swatting at things? Man, I am really bummed Skyrim never clicked with me. I will probably give it one more chance, but I am not hopeful. I should probably just plow through the main quest. If you own the game already, try this when you get the chance. Make a Khajit assassin/thief. Put your points into marksmen, one handed, and sneaking, etc. Go for the thieves guild and assassins guild. You do things like sneak around, steal stuff... assassinate people without anyone else catching you. Long shots with the bow, etc. It is really quite interesting.

I am a gog sort of guy, and it is not available there yet either. But, since I have to finish work / mowing the grass and cannot play until tonight, I am good.
If it is not on by 8 eastern I am going to post a shit fit post here, decrying something, cursing, bitching, crying, etc.

Black, I have not played anything like this, it does not sound like anything similar either.
But, I think I may be missing something. Maybe I will give the demo a try or something to see if it seems to grab me or not.

I have never played this type of SIM. Ermm, Never played any kind of sim for that matter.
I do however love strategy games, TBS my favorite. (And Kohan, but sadly, well, ugh)
This is good one to try out and cut the teeth on? Simlier to game like civilization, but without the war and such?

Is the game really that hard? Bleah. I don't mind difficult, but having to reload to play the same sections or boss fights over and over is no fun for me.
Yea, when I tried the first one, it felt like I had to keep doing the same stuff over and over again to get back to part where I died. It was a snoozer for me, not because of the difficulty of the fight or the fact that I died, but because of replaying same stuff to get to "the fight" to try it again. I do not like redoing things I already got passed. But, allot of folks love it, so I say have at it. If I ever came into a gaming drought again, I might give it a try again. But as it is, I am buried in games it seems like.
