Finally played the demo this weekend. Wow. I can't wait. The only question now is which version and which format. ultimate to play early and get all the things? Digital to be playable on the PC as well? I'm having a hard time spending $100 and having no trade-in option vs $48 on amazon and being able to trade in for $20 when I am done with it.
Either way I will definitely be playing.
Well if you are getting it from Amazon anyway, you can get the Ultimate Edition in disc form for only $80.
Did you mean the 'Deluxe' edition? That's the one that shows up as $80, the Ultimate edition is $100.
Just as an FYI. Delayed one week, all others on sale.
We're hugely sorry to announce this, but Sorcery! 4's launch date has had to change. The epic finale to the series will now be going live on Steam, iOS and Android on September 22nd - one week later than originally planned.
After such a long journey - four games over four years, and nearly one and a half million words of content - we want to be sure the release is as good as it can be.
Once again, we hope you'll forgive us the delay. To help soften the blow, we've put the first three Sorcery! games on sale on the App Store for their cheapest price ever - just $1 each. So if you're missing any installments, now's the time to pick them up.

Wait, I thought you could only do the Play Anywhere thing with digital titles?
I own the digital version, yes.
Oh, when you said it "showed up today" I assumed you meant the disc showed up in the mail.
Sorry, just meant it was released. And somewhat that when I cranked up the XB1 it said it was ready for me to play. However that turned out to be not the case. Any tile that said "Play" on it would launch the title screen, sit for a moment and then open up the store page. Which said you own it, so "Play". Lather, rinse, repeat. Finally had to check where updates live and manually launch the 'update' that actually download the full game. Fun. Then wait while it loaded for reals... and wait... black screen, spinning thing... wait...
Whatever pre-order stub it downloaded seemed to confuse the crap out of it. But we good now.
Figured I might as well start an official topic for this since it showed up today and I wanted to move the discussion out of the 'what are you buying' thread. I pre-ordered this on the Xbox 1 and the first thing I noticed were the dang wait times for loads. Other than that not seeing any issues so far but it is early on. Downloading it now on my Windows 10 machine, since I can 'Play Anywhere' maybe I'll try the first boss battle there. I'm hoping the graphics will be a wee bit more better there as the XB1 version could use a little anti-alias love or something.
A list of fixes and workarounds is on RPS and also has the instructions on how to get the "experimental" version of the game on Steam that TiLT mentioned. Comments were on topic until someone said "My main issue is gameplay" and it was all downhill from there.
The official story I heard was that after working all of this out and getting everything agreed to sans parachute, "they" wanted to force him to wear one after he got on the plane. His worry with the canister it apparently sits in was that it would cause him harm when he hit the net. They... negotiated... and he left the plane without it.

Moving files/docs/pics/etc.. are simple to move. Keep in mind though, that you can't move any programs and these need to be reinstalled from scratch.
I know in the past I've used utilities to move installed programs to new locations, ones that also update the registry entries at the same time so you don't have to reinstall. However, it's been a hellofa long time ago... do they not still exist?
Thanks. Silly question perhaps in this day and age but now I'm wondering if there is anything in the way of a manual or guide for the game? My character is fully aware of the current situation and what the zones are - red, yellow, whatever - but me myself, the person playing the character has no freaking clue yet. Just hooked up with the underground folks, have a gun and am going out into a "Red Zone" for the first time. Anything you found that helped?

It seems to me that unless you are going the VR route, or really really really want upgraded resolution (4K rumored), staying with the current PS4 is fine. Im still on the fence for VR, as I haven't seen games/apps that make it a must yet. Still, looks like the consoles are embracing it.
We'll have to see what the reality of the games is for different platforms.
Even without a 4K TV, if you can get full 1080p resolution at 60fps with higher resolution textures and better post processing on the NEO I would be happy with that over a regular PS4 being slightly downscaled from event the current PC build.
I'm still finding this whole situation offensive.
Meanwhile, the PS4 is still facing a storage issue that needs to be fixed last year.
While they should upgrade the base store model, the PS4 storage is easily upgradeable at a low cost.
Up to 2tb internally, no limit externally. I see a 4tb 2.5" drive, and at the same $/GB price as the 2tb drives but it's too thick (15mm vs the 9.5mm HD bay)
That was one of the first things I did with mine, swap in a 2TB drive and it was entirely painless.
Sadly, I pretty much only turn my Xbox One on when there's an update. My biggest issue with them is they have been focused on the "social" aspect of the console, that or the TV integration, neither of which have hardly any use for me. Yes, that makes me a non-social does not party or multi curmudgeon of a single player gamer, but hey... that's me all over.
So leaving out crap like "Facebook Friends Finder", at least this time they addressed some non-social aspects of their silly interface:
Manage my collection was really needed Alphabetic groups helps Ready to Install moved to the left pane My Games and Apps on the home screen Combining stores on Xbox and W10
Oh, and Cortana. I have a Kinect but have never had much desire to talk to my Xbox. However, it is a positive step and as they noted, brings consistency across their three platforms.
Holy crap, origin and end all in the same episode... and rhetorical question in this 'verse but is no-one safe? Figured they were pretty well f**ked but wasn't expecting that. And what was up with the killing of a White Walker with what I thought was just a crappy little spear? Valerian steel tip? Made by The Children for that purpose? Was shocked when she chucked it and it actually worked.
With my limited gaming time, I can have a hard time if I don't stay on top of a game and instead indulge my "ooo, shiny!" instinct and hop around to other games. I really appreciate when one takes the extra effort to give me a synopsis of "the story so far", or what was going on and what your goals were when you saved / stopped.
I had a bit of a problem with DOOM and its large levels at first but that was because I wasn't checking the map like I should have. Once I started doing that, with all of the information it brings, I spent less time wandering around lost. Less.
Hearing enough good things about Doom that I may give it a shot. Trying to decide between PC or PS4 though...
PC it is...20% off at GMG was too much to resist. Downloading now.
Funny but when I went to GMG on Saturday for the discount it was "out of stock"... and not knowing when they would get more keys I just did the "stop by BB after lunch and get my Unlocked discount on a DVD with no game on it plus the Steam key on a piece of paper" thing. LOL
