I'm having a  retard moment in the area just after the mine car where two guys each patrol through those four red force fields. I get under the first four and open the hatch but can't seem to get the timing or the technique to go left past the second set. A spoilered hint would be most appreciated.

From what I've seen, your 'accuracy' does improve as you level up but I don't think there's an upgrade. It's just that if you pull the trigger and don't override the targetting with the right stick (let it go) he'll do a pretty good job of automatically locking on enemies.

The slim can bitstream some codecs the original model couldn't but haven't heard much other than that and that seems to fall into the 'audiophile camp' IMHO. Oh, plus it supports Bravialink, for whatever that is worth. And I don't really see much chance of "slim only" games as there's no architectural differences between the two - not that Sony is immune to stupid but that would seem pretty stupid to me.

Sorry if I'm missing this, but what happens to our scores from before?

They carry over.  For instance, on mine you'll see a +73 when you look at my profile.  Click on Trade Count and you'll see a single entry for my past feedback.  Everything from now on will go in there, so that trade count will continue to rise.  smile   It's that or Ken has to make 73 separate entries for just me alone, and that's simply not feasible.   Not to worry - your trade feedback will remain intact. smile   This way will really allow us to automate the process. (With an approval check in there for good measure)

Actually, yours says +1. I got a pm saying mine was +7 but my profile says +1 as well... unless I'm missing something? I ask about it and was directed to this thread, so thought I would just double-check while I'm here. icon_confused

Click on the one.  You'll see it says +7

Ah... it says +7 in the comment something I didn't look / scroll down far enough to see and got fixated on the +1. Sorry, now I get you.

Without starting some kind of Holy War, any idea why a title like this will run at 1080p on the 360 but "only" 720p on the PS3?  icon_neutral

I doubt it's running in native 1080p- I'm guessing that's just MS's scaler- the 360 can scale to everything up 1080p.  With the PS3 the programmers have to manually implement scaling for higher than 720p and not all of them bother to do that.

Ah... that makes sense, didn't realize the 360 would upscale games like that. Every now and then I wonder why the 360 never seems to do a rez switch on my TV when launching games while the PS3 will most of the time since there still aren't a lot of native 1080p games. Funny, because it can upscale movies and PS2 games, though. Thanks.

This is a pretty long series and it's still going on now, correct? I don't know if I want to commit to that. I mean, it would have to be really good.

It's 3 seasons and it's over. And I feel it is really that good.

Isn't there an Airbender movie coming out? Could have sworn I saw a trailer for it recently.

MG has always had its share of unusual quirks

I was going to say they actually did decoys like that until I thought - wait, this is MGS and I need to check the screenshots first. While they did decoys out of plywood and such, it wasn't... like that. And I see we still have the cardboard box as well.  icon_lol

Having cut my teeth on PC games that allowed one to 'save anywhere' I certainly appreciate that when I find it nowadays in any game regardless of platform. However, I don't mind a check-point based save system if the checkpoints are intelligently placed and frequent enough to minimize (or eliminate) those 'repeating massive sections' frustrations that Blackjack mentions. I haven't gotten far enough into Wolfenstein to know where this one falls as of yet.

I hate when I find a crapload of multiplayer achievements as I very seldom play the multiplayer side. And sometimes it is nice to get those pure cheese achievements:

Is anyone else hoping they do away with the crew management crap this time?

Agreed.  Complete pain-in-the-ass feature that should be optional.

Sounds like they've "enhanced" your favorite part for this one. Captain's View might be interesting. Once or twice.

VIEW AS A CAPTAIN: Walk through highly detailed submarines in the new first-person view and access every part of your U-boat.

BECOME A REAL LEADER: Interact with your crew, watch them perform their daily jobs and experience the tension and fear inside the U-boat through the new advanced order system.

But then perhaps it may be optional as well, hard to say. Would that be the 'free of confusion' beginner mode or the 'expert' mode, I wonder:

NEW USER INTERFACE: Prowl the waters with a brand-new user interface. Now, every beginner can successfully command a sub while remaining free of confusion. In expert mode, experienced players will be provided all the necessary information and controls to command the sub completely on their own.

We shall see...
