Having cut my teeth on PC games that allowed one to 'save anywhere' I certainly appreciate that when I find it nowadays in any game regardless of platform. However, I don't mind a check-point based save system if the checkpoints are intelligently placed and frequent enough to minimize (or eliminate) those 'repeating massive sections' frustrations that Blackjack mentions. I haven't gotten far enough into Wolfenstein to know where this one falls as of yet.

Question on the Intelligence gathering in the game. So, you push a key/button to 'pick it up' like anything else but you hold it down to read it, right? With a little progress bar and everything. However, is there a way to read it after you pick it up or is the only chance you get while you are picking it up?  icon_confused

hitting tab will bring up a menu with a bunch of tabs, one of them being intel.

Thanks, figured I was missing something... silly.  retard

Achievement Unlocked: Buying Our Game!

Which is good because I've been stuck on 1998 points for days. Stupid Madden achievements are stuff like "tackle Adrian Peterson for a loss 20 times in one game on All-World-Super-Awesome-Madden skill level.

I hate when I find a crapload of multiplayer achievements as I very seldom play the multiplayer side. And sometimes it is nice to get those pure cheese achievements:

Achievement Unlocked: Buying Our Game!
Achievement Unlocked: Started a new game!
Achievement Unlocked: Saved for the first time!

(general statement, not meaning they do that in Shadow Complex)

Is anyone else hoping they do away with the crew management crap this time?

Agreed.  Complete pain-in-the-ass feature that should be optional.

Sounds like they've "enhanced" your favorite part for this one. Captain's View might be interesting. Once or twice.

• VIEW AS A CAPTAIN: Walk through highly detailed submarines in the new first-person view and access every part of your U-boat.

• BECOME A REAL LEADER: Interact with your crew, watch them perform their daily jobs and experience the tension and fear inside the U-boat through the new advanced order system.

But then perhaps it may be optional as well, hard to say. Would that be the 'free of confusion' beginner mode or the 'expert' mode, I wonder:

• NEW USER INTERFACE: Prowl the waters with a brand-new user interface. Now, every beginner can successfully command a sub while remaining free of confusion. In expert mode, experienced players will be provided all the necessary information and controls to command the sub completely on their own.

We shall see...

So what do you do if you have a PS3, but want to buy a slim?  Can you recover your account (like the 360) and download all your stuff to the new machine?

Just sign on the new PS3 with the same account you used on the old one and you're golden, trophies and everything. No recovery required. Then you can go back to the PSN store, check your download history and redownload whatever you need.

Thanks, next Q: Can I use two PS3's with the same ID?  Like if I moved one upstairs to be a blu-ray player for a bedroom?

Yes, you can. And from what I recall, if one is logged into the PSN when you sign onto the second one, the first is logged out. I do this all the time but generally don't have both on at the same time. I'll have to conduct a little 'speriment when I get home.

Confirmed.

Spoiler for Hiden:
On the whole subject of 'three years', wasn't that was the answer that Christopher gave to say how long it would take to 'fix' Vikus? He makes him slow down and repeat it... three years to undo the transformation and the effects of 'the fluid'. At least that's what I recall. I don't think we have any idea how much time it might take him to get home, mount a rescue mission and come back.  icon_neutral

I also agree that we have no idea how much time had passed from when the ship left until we see the completed transformation and the tin flower making, post-relocation, wife musing ending.

Bring on District 10.  icon_biggrin

Spoiler for Hiden:
I might be mistaken, but I thought I Christopher Johnson tells him he promises he will come back for him in three years.  This is when Wilkes is getting shot badly in the suit and he tells the alien to go on to his son and his ship....didn't anyone else see that?

Spoiler for Hiden:
Right, it gets repeated then as an affirmation but that is the original answer to the question of how long it will take to fix him when Christopher tells him that he has something up on the ship that could do that. Remember how Vikus makes him 'slow down the clicks' and repeat it because he can't believe he heard it would take three years? He was a little... upset... at the news, to say the least.  icon_neutral

Perhaps he never meant to take him along and it was always how long it would take to go home and bring 'the cure' back? Or how long it would take to get him home where they could do something about it? [shrug]

Spoiler for Hiden:
You missed an important bit there, which is that the reason it will take him 3 years to fix him is that he needs the fluid to save his people, which he realizes he needs to do once they see the medical experiments occurring in the basement of MNU, which was the other meat in the conversation you were referring to.  The actual cure doesn't take that long... the trip does.

Spoiler for Hiden:
Man, I wish I had a script or transcript or something because I honestly don't think that is correct. The first time 'three years' is mentioned, from what I recall, is earlier on when Chrisopher first sees him transforming and mentions he can fix him and that he has technology up in the ship to do so. That is well before they go back to MNU to actually retrieve the fluid and they both see the bodies being experimented on. Oh, well, time to let this go it seems... and wait for the sequel.  icon_lol

Practically every game I've played has that issue on the 360, not just Ghostbusters. GB just asks a really goofy question every time you start the console up (along the lines of how you'll be overwriting your save games or something).

Right, Ghostbusters adds in that extra oddly frightening comment about overwriting that makes this more bothersome than normal. But in all honesty I don't recall the last 360 game I played that asked me over and over every time it started where my saves were. Typically it's one and done but I can change it later if desired. At least, that's what I'm remembering right now at work. Been playing a crapton of FO3 and it doesn't ask. icon_neutral

Well it needs a memory device to remember, so how is it going to remember which device you picked before without a memory device yet?

It should ping the HD that just about every single 360 owner owns, and then any attached memory cards. If it finds a save game there, it'll keep saving there from there on out without user intervention (but give us an option to change it). Ask the first time, yes - don't keep asking every time I start the damn game.
