King Cashing 2 just came out recently, lot of fun if you liked the first one.
Plague Inc updated with a zombie theme (costs $1.99), which changes the game significantly.
Dungeon Plunder sounds like it might be worth a whirl as well.
King Cashing is a no-brainer if you liked the first. More interesting gameplay and much better presentation. Dungeon Plunder is pretty neat. Expect to die. Lots. Like Dark Souls lots. I've got my best run going so far at level 6 with a warrior. But I am out of dudes my level to fight, so I think I'm screwed.

River Song makes her appearance, good to see her on a US show. I wonder if Barrowmore had some influence on the casting, or that their casting director just happens to be a fan and knows that people who watch will also be fans of Doctor Who.
I do wish they would give Barrowmore a little bit more to do.

Hopefully Arrow doesn't go the same way as The Cape did. At least they got a second season, hopefully it keeps up. Just starting to get into it..
The Cape was horrific. This is not.

I know there were people that liked RallyTrophy, but I'll take Richard Burns...or Mobil 1 for that matter. I have a heard time remembering which CMR was the best at this point...maybe 2.0? I found it impossible to drive in a straight line in RT going 30 mph on dry pavement. At that point, I was playing rally games a lot, and I felt like it was dramatically overtuned to where tings that were easy in real life were much too difficult.

I was also a big fan of Test Drive: Eve of Destruction, and would love an updated version of that style of game from Bugbear! They've said it is somewhat of a return to their FlatOut 1 roots, so I wouldn't expect anything much like Rally Trophy.
Well, I thought Rally Trophy was awful, so let's hope not. Would love some jump races, figure 8s, etc.

Lair wasn't nearly as bad as people made it out to be. The biggest issue was that the game wouldn't accept motion commands while it was in the middle of the previous command, and some of the animations were lengthy. That left people shaking their controllers like idiots and thinking the controls weren't responsive. If the game had communicated this properly,it wouldn't have been panned so badly.

Your hands aren't offset, why would you want the sticks to be? (As long as they aren't too close together)
My biggest gripes about the DS2/3 were that the triggers were awful and the grips are too small. Looks like the triggers will be better this time around (angle aside, Metallic). I have tiny little girl hands that can barely palm a golf ball and the grips on that controller gap feel too short to *me*. But then, I thought the boomerang looked great in that regard but everybody pissed and moaned about it. Go figure. How do people with actual man hands hold this thing?

I wouldn't recommend a 16GB, but you know your own habits better than we do (and it is your money) There are games that run over 2GB these days. I see people every week talking about having to make room for the next thing they want to buy and freaking out over how large files are. Seems silly to me.

So, I've never read the comics, only seen this storyline on the animated series in the 90s. Will Bishop feature strongly, as he did in the animated series version of this arc?

they announced that the tech girl Felicity will be a series regular next season.
She's our favorite character. Looking forward to seeing her and Diggle together. Edit: new episode was probably the best of the season (not that this took a miracle). Felicity was awesome. The flashbacks to the island are getting far more interesting now. At first it was all simply "how Oliver became a tough guy/badass" but there's a lot more going on at this point than simply that.

Personally, I liked it better when just getting to level 10 or 20 your first time felt like an accomplishment. Many complaints this version is much too easy. There's another update (android already has it) that brings things back to earth a bit.
Apparently, the developer has decided to take what he has learned and rebuild the game from scratch as a new app. I've got no problem with that if the balance gets fixed and more features are added. I'd gladly buy it again.

If you could stream from consoles I might be interested.
If you can do that while someone else plays on the pc for coop action they will make a crap ton of money. Not a chance. The computer is doing all the work. Each game would have to be specifically designed to do it.

The sense of what your dollar is worth for gaming is also shifting a lot these days. I can't resell my iOS or Steam games, but I can get iOS games for about $0-10 and Steam games for $1-20. Paying $60 for a game I can't sell? Not quite as palatable as it once was, especially since finding a deal on used games will no longer be an option.
It goes beyond that. As I've said before, MANY people that buy new games fund those purchases by trading in. If both the new-gen consoles take that away, it WILL impact new sales to some extent, particularly for non-"must-have" titles. But let's read between the lines for a second. They say the discs will ship with an activation code and that the disk won't have value beyond the initial user. The second statement doesn't follow from the first *IF* it is possible to purchase more activation codes. This would be exactly what I have been suggesting for the last 3+ years: when GameStop resells a used disk, they could include an activation code in that purchase. That money would get funneled back to the developer/publisher after Microsoft took their cut. This would eat into Gamestop's profit margin a bit, but they will just drop trade values correspondingly. And they will gain market share in used for the next gen because other retailers in the secondary market won't be able to provide this. GameStop becomes a money engine for developers. Every time a game disc gets sold again, they get a piece. A smaller piece than if purchased digitally? Yes, but they get a physical presence in stores in return, which is vital. Now think about what would happen if one of MS/Sony had this and the other didn't. Rumor was that Sony was using some sort of technology that was on the disc itself that would tie the disc to a particular console (which sounds like a spectacularly bad idea, because, consoles never break...)

For portable games (Vita and 3DS) I like to trade the trade-in potential for the convenience of carrying all my games around with me. Not the same for consoles, because I don't have to carry discs.
I can see that. It's one of the reasons I was drawn to iOS gaming. In fact, I said this a long time ago, but iOS really changed the way I play. I would never switch games before, just play one to death until I was done then move onto the next. Hey, 3DS XL owners: is the sweet spot for viewing the 3D better than on the original 3DS? It seemed like it was when I was looking at one at the store. My daughter doesn't have a 3DS yet, but is going to need one for Pokemon, and I'm trying to decide if I should get an XL and give her mine.

Dungelot is a damned good game and free for the moment. Casual roguelike.
I'm glad folks are enjoying it, but Dungelot is completely lost on me. It feels like nothing more than a game of whack-a-mole with very little strategy involved. Maybe I'm just missing something... Sure, you can play it like that, but you won't get all that far. People have accused the game of having no meaningful decisions but I disagree. There are just lots of very small decisions. Sure, you have to explore a level until you find the key, and there's a lot of luck involved there, but every time you find a key, you have to decide whether to continue exploring that level or proceed downward. There are tradeoffs to everything you do in terms of health. What spells are you holding on to? When do you use them? Etc. like any good roguelike, I've had some really tense moments where I was sure I was dead and managed to survive. Was there luck involved? Yes, but I had to survive long enough for that healer/quest/corpse to show up. It isn't a deep game, but it wasn't intended to be. They are going to be adding weapon types, potions, new classes, and other goodies.

Excellent point. Would a true lurker encourage other likely lurkers to lurk no longer?

Yeah, the price point is the real sticking point. They did add some new content (7 levels, second character, more weapons, etc), but it really seems like they should have gone more towards $20 or so to draw more people in. Hopefully it drops to something more reasonable soon.
Don't get me wrong, it is easily worth the money, IMO, I was just surprised.

There's a 0% chance that SCOTUS upholds any type of legislature banning gay marriage. I'm not sure constitutionally how they possibly can.
I guess the other issue (if possible) is is this a state matter or a federal one?
There could be some interesting battles over state vs federal authority here in the next couple of years, like gay marriage and pot legalization.
