So nice that we can see the critical hit bonus on Moxxi's Bad Touch. How about now they fix it SO THE DAMNED WEAPON SPAWNS PROPERLY? *headdesk*
Oh, and while I'm making demands, can we fix the bug that causes weapons not to reload when the clips are empty? Kthxbai

What the heck...there are no Mage kits in Baldur's Gate, but they have them for all the other classes? What gives? I was thinking a Militant Wizard might be a lot of fun. Spent a couple hours with this last night, and think I'm starting to get the hang of the touch controls. Odd that things in the tutorial feel so much more difficult than they do in-game.
Still really struggling with the rulesets though. Going to have to do some serious research to recall those.
This site was really helpful for me. Lots of good info, and even some thoughts and opinions about the classes and kits. Don't be afraid of the url address, it's a real site. http://www.playithardcore.com/pihwiki/index.php?title=Baldur%27s_Gate

Lost Cities is on sale for 1.99. This is particularly notable since Coding Monkeys has never put Carcassone on sale (though it was cheaper before the universal update came out). I went ahead and bought it, but I hope it gets updated to universal at some point.

Why does every jRPG that comes out now have to have a frelling real-time component to the combat?
Ugh...no offense to those that prefer that, but there seems to be no alternative these days. I'll be over here in the corner waiting for the sequel to Enchanted Arms.

Hopefully they will put some kind of door/exit UI feedback into the tablet versions, since it seems like a very common complaint.
The PC version has been working well for me. They've already done 3 updates, all of which updated seamlessly through the launcher after clicking "Update". My biggest challenge has been relearning all of the D&D BG rules and class nuances. It's funny how it's all coming back though. I remember researching all of the same things when I was playing the original. Single class versus multiclass versus dual class. How they all work. How the level cap impacts each class archtype differently, and multiclass differently.
I've still got all of my 2nd Ed rulebooks

I'm in a cleveland suburb and its alright, but drive to the easy side and watch out! Very bad driving over there! It's kind of funny how there can be a night and day difference from location to location.
Huh, I lived on the east side from '94 to '02 and I never thought the drivers were that bad. Of course, it's all relative and we were in Nashville before that, where a morning commute isn't complete without at least one tractor-trailer overturned on an interstate.

I don't think it's that he smiles, it's the way he smiles.
And it's only when he's solo explaining rules that it's a little creepy.
EDIT: Just wanted to point out that he actually seems like a nice guy and provides a valuable service.
Yup. I've only seen him by himself. Logic dictates that anyone who appears to be that happy is seriously disturbed.

I can't believe anybody still cares to enter more Shift codes at this point.
Heck yes. I've used about ten in the last couple of days. You should see all the shields, class mods, relics, and pistols I got! *cries*

Damnit. I just finished up (or almost did) my first playthrough as Mecro. Killed Handome Jack and he fell on top of the button I was supposed to push and it wouldn't let me push it and I couldn't move him. Went out to Eridium, fought my way back through in the hopes that his body would be gone. Got to the entrance to the last area, and the game crashed. I bet when you start a new session it fixes itself.

Having a blast with Gunzerker in TVHM (paired ith Oscuros as a Siren). There have been a couple of isolated spots that were tough so far, but overall I'm not finding TVHM to be harder than playing through on normal.

Remaking one of the most expensive movies with a small budget like Syfy has doesn't sound like a great idea. And yeah, I think sometimes it's better to leave things dead. I wonder why they think it's a good idea. They haven't had a good idea since the monumentally bad one to change their name so it reads more like a nickname for syphilis. *sigh* man...back in the day when they used to show Sealab, Time Tunnel, Land of the Giants, and all those old classics, I would have Sci-Fi on for HOURS every day. Then you'd get MST3K-worthy films on the weekends. Remember the anime fests they used to have on Saturday mornings? I miss those days.

I thought I had posted a follow-up in this thread, but I guess I forgot.
We bought a Beautyrest Black Mattress from Sleep Country. I couldn't find anywhere online that had a lower price than they did with a 10% off coupon I had. They also had buy one get one free on some of their pillows. Great buying experience. No sales pressure for add-ons aside from suggesting a super-thin waterproof cover (which we got because one of our dogs occasionally tinkles in her sleep when she's lying on the bed). Free delivery next day. Mattress is awesome. Pillow is awesome. Two thumbs up.

Geralt from the Witcher 2 would be high on my list. I agree that Handsome jack was a great character, but I would have preferred some more interaction with him other than the audio logs for 95% of the game. Developers still don't understand how to create and utilize truly great villians.
That's a fair point, they could have found ways to get Jack on screen more, though I personally don't think it was necessary.

Jack from B2. One of the greatest villains ever. Yeah, I suppose it would be easy for some to dismiss his rants as juvenile, but I actually think he's an extremely nuanced character. I think Jack genuinely believes he is a hero, and that he truly loves *spoiler*, yet his callous disregard for human life is appalling at times. Moreover, as awful as he is, he manages to come across as likable/sympathetic at times. I don't think writing a character like that is nearly as easy as they have made it look.

Actually didn't get much in the way of games: Torchlight II 4-pack, NFS Most Wanted for my son.
What I did get a ton of were videos: Brave Hunger Games Big Bang Theory Twilight Zone The Prisoner Bond 50 Battlestar Galactica Robotech
Spent - more than I want to think about just now.
Actually, the biggest bargain this past weekend was kind of random. My wife and I have been wanting some new pots & pans for a long while now, and we had intended to buy some months ago, picked out what we wanted to get and everything, just didn't get around to it. I happened to be looking at them on Amazon over the weekend to see if there happened to be a sale, and saw one of the external ads. Turns out that Sierra Trading Co. (which has all kinds of great things) had a small 5 PC set at a killer price. Not the set I would have bought otherwise, but a great way to get a few pans to try and see how we like them before sinking more money in.

Borderlands 2. It is one of my favorite games ever. I haven't played that many different titles this year, but I suppose my GOAT would be Diablo III. I enjoyed it, enough to get a character to max level in hardcore, but not enough to want to keep playing different classes and such. In that sense, and considering how much time I spent with DII, it is a disappointment.

AA, it has a 120GB drive I put in myself. The issue is that you can't just swap the drive into another PS3 and have it read the data, because it won't. You also can't access the drive from a PC or Mac to the best of my knowledge. When powering up, the light goes briefly from green to yellow, then to flashing red. Anybody have experience with the super-slim units? Engadget said the top loading mechanism, buttons, and whole thing in general feel really cheap, which is why I'm thinking of getting the regular slim instead. The only reason for your son to lose his Dark Souls data is if the hard drive has died. If that's the only reason your 20-gig backward compatible unit has failed, you can simply replace the drive and continue using a markedly superior model. And that's all irrespective of the save data for individual games being locked. Otherwise, the Playstation 3 uses a standard SATA laptop hard drive. There should be all sorts of options for retrieving data from it, including mounting the drive inside your new PS3 long enough to copy the savegame files onto a USB key. What's the problem with your system? As the owner of a 60-gig BC unit in need of repairs, it might have parts I could really use! -Autistic Angel

Well, one our PS3s, a 20GB launch model (BC) appears to have died today. I've missed all of the Black Friday sales. Moreover, they seem to all have been for the new top-loading model, and I'm not sure I want that. I'm thinking of picking up the 320GB model with Uncharted 3 for 299.
Probably the worst part about all of this is my son losing his Dark Souls data.

Yeah, I was figuring both would cost about 20, bringing the cost for the collection nearly equal with the individual seasons and a few bucks extra for th combined packaging is worth it, but looks like you are right and Razor is included in season 4. Not sure what I will do now...
Re:Bond...dang! And gold box goes live at midnight....
By the way, Best Buy has 100 dollar iTunes cards (physical, but free shipping) for 80 bucks. I've been waiting for the digital ones to go on sale again, but bought some of these today.

as Bond 50 just shot up to $214.99 my guess is that it will be on Gold Box for..... $139.99.
That would suck...wondering if I should have bought it when it was at 130 a couple of days ago. I just caved and bought TZ blu ray set...dear god, when am I going to watch that. I could alternate watching episodes of TZ and Spongebob Squarepants.... Wanting to pick up Battlestar Galactica too.

I was able to snag Brave bluray on Amazon for $9 just now, but the deal was gone in 30 seconds. You gotta be at the computer and ready for these deals!
I tried multiple times to add the deal to my cart in the first 30 seconds (after the first failure it was at 11%, but I still couldn't add it) but it never happened. Been on the waiting list for an hour and a half. I wish they'd tell you where they are on the waitlist and what your position is.
