It sounds like Kotaku didn't bother to ask whether or not this was true for the actual game or just the E3 demo. I'm guessing it was just for the purposes of showing off the game at E3, as I would think most E3 demos are set to impossible to lose "God Mode".
Yeah, I thought the same thing, that this was probably just or demo purposes.

Is the ps4 really 50 % more powerful than the XB1?
It has significant advantages in memory bandwidth and raw GPU performance, yes. I don't necessarily think that will show up immediately, but over time should make a difference. What might be event bigger factor is if significant amounts of CPU power are reserved for all the system stuff in the background, as has been suggested. If the XB1 has more CPU overhead, that could make the difference even more apparent from the start.

Not surprising, and that is likely a corporate mandate for employees just like pushing trade ins. A bit shady but we all know why they're doing it.
No,their relationship with MS is still important, and if GameStop doesn't reserve their allocation, MS will give it to someone else. What you are seeing is the fact that the people that run and work in these stores are people just like us. They are telling customers the same things many of us would. Now, I wouldn't put it past corporate having some kind of incentive for PS4s, like a contest or something.

It seems like it's going to be a bit more complex than that. Typically, that's going to be correct. Based on interviews it seems they might make an exception for certain free to play games, so Plus won't be a requirement. Also based on their rhetoric in regards to why Netflix etc aren't behind a paywall, I would not be surprised if Elder Scrolls Online or any other subscription based MMO does not require plus to be played online.
That makes a lot of sense. So,presumably for something like Warframe, you wouldn't have to have PS+.

The manager said that they were told by corporate how many they are getting at that store and are stopping preorders after they hit that number.
This is Gamestop BS of the highest order if I've ever heard it. NO WAY they know this at this stage. Not true. GameStop could have easily been promised X units by Sony. Those units would then be allocated to stores based on overall volume and PS3 sales. This is probably a conservative figure, so more units may become available later. This is what happened with PS3. GameStop got much more conservative in taking hardware reservations after the 360 debacle (there were people with preorders that didn't get units for 6 months after launch).

Oh wow, according to Eurogamer, Sony is requiring remote play on all PS4 titles, unless they require special hardware like the camera.
Correct. Been known for a few days at least at this point. So you'll be able to play most of your PS4 library on the go on your Vita anywhere. I've said multiple times that I wish they had done that with the PS3. This is a really compelling feature, IMO, one I might consider buying a Vita for if it weren't for the fact I've played nothing on a console or handheld in many months. Everything has been PC or iPad. Hell, I bought Laton on 3DS and barely played it.

I have to say that I find the Twitter messages of the "we're listening" type very encouraging though (this was from the DRM campaign). I have a hard time imagining Sony representatives posting such supportive messages if they were about to give us bad news.
I have a hard time believing MS would agree to this used game system( that they themselves don't make money on), take all this heat and let Sony have the PS4 run used games like they are now on the current generation. If they did then MS has royally screwed up. Why would you think they won't be making money on the sale of new licenses? Because they've said as much. Check the last two bullet points. We shall see of course but that's the current official information. Uh, ok. Maybe I'm confused. I thought the whole deal was that people were going to have to buy a license to play the game. That makes it sound like they intend to handle the transfer of licenses to retailers then back out to other customers. Sounds like a big convoluted mess.

Be aware that they introduced a ping limiter recently that defaults to an upper end of 300ms, so if your ping time I scrappy, it may be harder to find groups.
Drop tables for defense missions were dramatically changed today. Level 5 reward on Xini (Eris) was a tower 2 or 3 void key on about half the time. Time to do some void runs.
Also got a Hate blueprint off the stalker earlier. Suh-weet!

Bought Scurvy Scalawags, it's a match 3 game by Ron Gilbert and it's awesome. I usually don't like match 3's as I get bored of them quickly but this has some RPG and strategy aspects that make the game different from the rest. It has a nice sense of humor and good production values. It's only .99 and seems well worth it.
I wish there were more variety to the enemies. I've played several islands and only seen two special abilities. Other than that, it is pretty nice. There's lots of stuff to collect, but not much of a sense of progression in an RPG sense. You accumulate bonuses and things, but mostly they are small, incremental things. Agreed. It's a fun diversion, but not something I'm going to sink a ton of time into. Takes a while to get used to their particular style of match-3 movement. I got up to level 8 last night, and it gets really damn difficult. I think I'm ... Level 13? I lost a heart once, but didn't notice it at the time and got it back for completing a quest. I don't find it hard to keep the enemies away from me most of the time.

And just to clarify, that's true of any app, not just this one. It needs roughly double the install room if you download directly. Says it's 1.9 GB but that's not true, I have over 4 GB of space and it won't download due to insufficient space.
You're downloading directly to your iPad, so it needs to have enough space to download the entire file, then install it. If you install through iTunes, you won't need as much space. This. Aspyr's FAQ said it needs double the file size to install, if you can't get it to install, do it go through our computer.

The 'tilt to access inventory' thing annoys the hell out of me, hope they figure out a way to patch that out.
That's why I didn't buy it last night. Crazy, but true. I doubt it gets changed, though.

is this ipad only? not seeing it in app store on iphone
It's showing up for me there now. I'm finding that apps take a while to be discoverable via search queries on new app night, but you can get to them if you have a direct link. Yeah, Wonderpug is right. Gratch, I'm with you on TA reviews. Part of it is that they choose to focus on games that are worthwhile most of the time. That's actually a good thing, because 90+% of the App Store is crap, but their excitement for things often feels a bit inflated.

They aren't bringing in new people.
You have something to back this up? Nope. Just my perception. I have teenage children and to the best of my knowledge none of their friends play. Instead they roleplay in games like WoW, TSW, etc. there are simply any more creative outlets these days.

The dance is over for tabletop RPGs unfortunately. The music has long-since stopped, though there are some stragglers on the floor that haven't realized it yet.
They aren't bringing in new people. The younger set are either playing warhammer/CCGs or computer/console games.
