Freakin' McHale.
562  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: iPhone 3G announced - only $199 for 8GB on: June 09, 2008, 08:18:16 PM
If you're not interested in using this to play music or songs, is there any reason to get the 16GB version?  I just want a good phone with kickass internet and office apps.
563  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: MINI Cooper -- building it on: June 07, 2008, 02:36:58 AM
My only complaint about the Mini is the speedometer in the center.  The rest of the interior kicks ass though.
564  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: MINI Cooper -- building it on: June 07, 2008, 02:17:01 AM
I like it.  The checkered roof and mirrors are just obnoxious enough.  I didn't think I'd like the cars when I heard they were going to be reintroduced years ago, but they really do look good.

Or those same grenades creating a fireball.

Military computer screens that display their words one letter at a time and make a computer noise when each letter pops up on a screen.

He means why does the blood go through the exit wound and not the bullet.  Yes, it's dumb and I hate it too.  What I hate even more is a person getting shot with a shotgun flying backwards ten feet even though the shooter's feet stay planted.

You're welcome.
569  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: No country for old men on: June 06, 2008, 01:17:10 AM
The lack of payoff is the whole point of the movie.

Rare, please.

I have a belief that every comdian has the potential to make me laugh.  Just like every band has the potential to make a good song (Ex. New Kids on the Block - Please Don't Go Girl).

I liked Sandler in The Waterboy and even though it seemed like a fluke, I'm willing to give Zohan a chance.

I need you <I need you>
I guess I awww awwwl-ways will

573  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: MMA Primetime This Weekend: Who's In? on: May 30, 2008, 01:03:37 PM
I'm so pissed that I won't be able to watch this.  I'm moving, so I no longer have a DVR.  I'll have to see if a friend can record it.  Hopefully this will catch on and more channels than Spike will show MMA.

Very sad news.  I really liked him.

Most mortals would have been KOd, but I agree that Rocky would have taken it and shrugged it off.  Actually of the fighters in the first three Rocky movies, only Apollo ever got knocked down with one punch.  What a puss.

Rocky II, noob.

Watch the end of Rocky III.

Potential to suck is high.  However, the cast gives me hope.

Yeah, Testament has never been my favorite metal band but they are very good and very consistent.  Their music doesn't disappoints.

That's exactly how I felt about them.  There were many other bands that I preferred, but I knew when I bought a Testament album that I would like it.  It was good music.
581  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: Testament [music] on: May 20, 2008, 01:16:16 PM
Wow, now you're bringing back some memories.  I was a big Testament fan back in the day, so I'll have to check this out.

I'm a disciple of the watch, baby!

Agreed.  He just sometimes uses that talent for evil => Showgirls.

Not getting the reference or just disagreeing with his inclusion?

Changing the number will just get you somebody else's douchebag friends.  Eventually they'll stop asking for Cory.  In the meantime have some fun with them.

Rat Pack

Brat Pack

588  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: Black Book: A Gem of a movie on: May 19, 2008, 07:42:58 PM
The only thing that's kept me from watching this movie is Paul Verhoeven, who is a founding member of the Scat Pack (the others being Michael Bay, Joel Schumaker, and Stephen Sommers).

590  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: Skin Disease or D&D Character? on: May 15, 2008, 04:16:10 PM
75%.  I don't think I knew any of those as D&D characters, I just guessed that it didn't sound like a skin disease.

Have Fridays be "Best seat in the house" day where one lucky worker gets a La-Z-Boy for their desk.

Video poker in the break room.
592  Non-Gaming / Political / Religious Nonsense / Re: Finally, the President gets it... on: May 15, 2008, 03:37:31 PM
What is involved in a president attending a funeral?  I would imagine the security checks would be pretty substantial and would take away from the service.  The service would be more about "the president's coming!" rather than the soldier being buried.

I understand anger towards the president, but I'm not sure what it is you want him to do.  It's not wise for a leader to talk about how horrible the situation is and openly apologize for sending soldiers into a warzone.  That's a quick way to work against your goal.  He feels what he's doing is right, so why would he want to hurt support for that effort?  As for the golf comment, what's the big deal with it?  He wasn't wearing a shirt that said "I'm not playing golf, what are you doing for our soldiers."  He stopped playing golf and didn't make a big deal out if it.  Why should we?
593  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: How did the Kentucky riflemen do it? on: May 15, 2008, 01:31:47 PM
I guess I always assumed the powderhorn had a premeasured tip where you turn it upside down and pinch at a certian point so that only the amount in the tip went into the gun.  I imagine it takes a lot of practice and that there were a ton of misfires back then.
594  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: (TV) House 5-13 Someone get me a screenshot, STAT! on: May 14, 2008, 02:12:02 PM
I've only seen a few episodes, but there was one a few seasons ago where House had to give her a shot in her ass.  She hiked up her skirt and bent over.  I don't know if that was a body double in the strip scene or not, but that ass shot a few seasons ago was not and it was fantastic.  That lady is freakin' hot.
595  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: Can you believe this prom dress? on: May 13, 2008, 09:10:44 PM
I don't know.  A hot tittie tattoo was always a turn on, especially on 17 year olds.
596  Non-Gaming / Political / Religious Nonsense / Re: Why do people still listen to Rush "I love my Oxy" Limbaugh? on: May 13, 2008, 05:23:25 PM
Even if you disagree with the host, talk-radio shows can still be entertaining.  I sometimes listen to Rush, but that doesn't mean I continually nod my head in agreement.
597  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: battlestar galactica - where do I start? on: May 13, 2008, 05:17:50 PM
The Helo actor is definitely one of the better ones.  Of course I don't have a crush on him like Hepcat.  I would definitely prefer more stuff involving him, Gaida (sp?) and Athena.  Apollo and Starbuck kinda annoy me.  Okay, Starbuck really annoys me.

Recently I've lost the desire to rewatch movies enough to justify purchasing them.  Even though Raiders is one of my all-time favorites, I doubt I'd ever put in the DVD because I've seen the movie about 100 times.

I saw it when I was eight or nine and wondered what all the fuss was about.  I didn't care for it either.
